10 Barrel Apocalypse IPA

10 Barrel Apocalypse IPA

A Northwest American-Style IPA. The color comes through as a deep gold with orange hues. Fruity and citrusy hop aroma shines, with hints of pine resin. The four hop flavor dominates, re-enforcing the aroma with more citrus, fruity and piney notes. The malt character is clean and smooth with a unique toasted flavor (thanks to the generous helping of Victory malt), all held together by a firm bitterness. Apocalypse has a medium-bodied mouth feel, finishing crisp and dry. All of this results in a very drinkable IPA.

Hops: Horizon, Centennial, Amarillo, Cascade

Malt: 2-row Pale, Victory, Crystal

3.5 Can. Pours a golden color with a decent head. Aroma of pine, grapefruit and grain. Taste of pine, grapefruit, bit of malt and grain. Nice bitterness and fairly dry finish. Medium body, crisp and well hopped. Tasty.
3.5 Can. Pours a slightly dingy golden orange with a big head of dense foam that stands up out of the tulip glass an inch or so without draining down the sides of the glass. Aromas are a pleasant mix of floral and fruit notes (papaya and orange blossom come to mind first) and flavor is that with a bit of resin mid palate and a flabby yeast/malt finish that kind of sets the thing backwards a step before more resin puckers the aftertaste. Decent, but not great.
4.0 Aroma is sweet citrus/fruit and mild sweetness. The flavor is citrus/orange, malts, grapefruit, very slightly coarse and a mild hop resin/hoppy finish.
3.7 Draught @ 10 Barrel Brewery, San Diego. Pours slightly hazy golden with an offwhite head. Aroma of malt, caramel, fruity hops, peach, citrus, orange. Flavor is light sweet, malt, caramel, fruity hops, peachy, citrus. Medium body, average carbonation, light sweet finish. 300718
3.2 Flaske: Gammeldags type IPA. Masser af maltsødme i både duft og smag. Flotgylden farve med fin skumkrone. Resten af øllen er dog dødkedelig. Ikke spændende øl.
3.0 Bottle. Gold pour with white head. Hoppy citrusy aroma. Hoppy taste with a bit of pine and a tiny bit of malt. Crisp finish. An always available IPA for summer.
3.4 3 months old. From can, gold, light head, Light floral and herbal mainly, some malt, caramel malt, more caramelly sweet than toasty. Dry hopped with 8 variaties it says, but mines not too fresh and aromatic- almost get malt more. Malt forward with citrus, pretty piney in finish. Decent ipa. Don't know if I would get this too soon again. Good for a summer beer as suggested on can I guess though for an ipa.
3.6 Can. Clear amber. Pine, resin, and citrus aroma. Solid bitterness. Medium body and a little dry.
3.5 Tap at the brewpub. Dunno if its all that legal marijuana but it smells a bit of it. Quite soapy old hop feel. Its alrighty.
3.6 Bottle from supermarket. Amber color, white head. Bitter taste with grapefruit, hops, fruits, pine, a bit of resin and grass. Bitter finish with grapefruit, hops, pine, fruits and a bit of resin. Very nice IPA.
3.3 12 ounce bottle. Pours a mostly clear gold with an average white head. Aroma of pine and citrus. Taste is pine, grapefruit, lemon, and malt. Decent, but not too exciting.
3.6 From a bomber. Pours a clear copper with a massive off white head. Grass and citrus aromas. Flavors are bitter pine and citrus rind followed by some sweet maltiness. Soft on the palate but with a lingering bitterness.
3.5 Sixteen ounce glass. Amber color with a slight lacing. Well done , not too bitter with a very nice mouthfeel and finish
3.7 Bottle from Sterk Amsterdam, unfortunately rather old. Aroma is fruity hops, strong citrus, orange, biscuity malt, peach, tropical notes, some pine. Flavour is light to moderate sweet with a bitter finish. Body is medium. It's truly stunning how hoppy this one is in a rather unfresh condition, giving an extra .1 to compensate because it will surely be better from tap.
3.6 On tap at Baileys Taproom, Portland, Oregon. Has a slightly hazy amber colour with a small off-white head. Fruity aroma of dry hay, grapefruit, grass, hops and pine. More grassy hops in the flavour with grapefruit in the background. Dry ending with pine and hay. Has a slick mouth feel, medium body and a medium to heavy bitterness. A hoppy and solid IPA.
4.1 Excellent IPA on draft at Chammps in Collegeville. The beer pours a very dark golden color with a light amber hue. The nose is quite hoppy with lots of fruit and citrus notes. The flavors follow suit, with plenty of hops that provide notes of fruit, citrus and pine. The finish is quite bitter and spicy.
3.6 Pint at Mellow Mushroom - nose is citrus and resin. Sip adds long bitter finish. Pretty good. Floral notes.
4.0 Pretty typical IPA. Nothing surprising here. But definitely not disappointed in my choice!
3.4 Backlog entry. Good flavors, close to style, as expected without too many surprises.
3.9 Found this one at a blazers game. Riiiiiip city. Solid IPA but disappointed it's owned by InBev now
3.1 drunk from a plastic glass at REI's pray for snow event. I don't like overly hoppy IPAs but this one was pretty mild. Very drinkable. Wet hops abound Not my fave
3.2 bottled - cloudy orange color. Sweet hop aroma. Flavor is sweet and hoppy with a spicy finish.
3.2 Bottle. Pours a golden colorr with a small head. that fades. nothing too hoppy but very drinkable. not a a bad beer
2.3 Pours a clear golden color. Very thin white head but sticky lacing. A dirty grassy aroma. A kind of dirty earth vegetation flavor. Extremely bitter.
3.8 Pours clear topaz with a thick eggshell head. Aroma features resiny hops, floral, malty and fruity tones, demanding a taste. Flavor offers resiny hops, fresh malt, floral and sweet citrus tones - definitely drinkable. Mouthfeel presents fair body and good fizz. Save a few bottles for the Apocalypse.
3.7 Pours a slightly hazy deep gold with a pillowy head which hangs around a long time.......aroma of citrus, sweet malt and pine......taste follows aroma, slight hint of chlorine (it may be me but I've tasted it a lot lately, it may be a hop that just doesn't agree with me) , nicely bittered. Solid.

3.7 C. Pours a hazy golden color with white head. Smells great, but lingering bitter after taste
3.1 Tap at my going away party ugly penny pour. Nose is sweet caramel and pine sol. Tastes of sweet medicine, caramels, pine, some citrus and soap. Too sweet
3.4 Bomber bottle from Winco. A cloudy light orange-yellow color. Frothy off-white head. Herbal-spice aromas. Light fruity-spice bitterness. Some pine and bitter grapefruit. Hint of burnt rubber. Long bitter finish.
