3.5 Fat på 1516 Brewing Company i Wien. Tjock, bärnstensfärgad kulör med smutsvit skumkrona. Doft och smak av ananas, mango, torkade aprikoser, apelsinskal, brännt socker, granskott och rostad malt.
3.3 More like an old school ipa.Aroma of malt, citrus.Taste of malt, some hops, caramel notes ,pine .
3.9 Enjoyed: On tap, into a mug. Appearance: Blurry orange colour, medium head. Aroma: Hops, malt, honey. Palate: Medium body, creamy, gentle carbonation. Taste: Malt, caramel/honey, hops; bitter aftertaste. Overall impression: Interesting, tasty and drinkable.
3.9 On tap at the brewpub, Vienna. Appearance: hazy orange, thick pure white head. Aroma: lots of malt with some underripe mango. Flavour: again a lot of malt but a mango hop punches through and leaves a lovely lingering bitter finish.
3.2 On tap at 1516, pours a hazy golden orange with a small off-white head. Aroma is very malty, with subdued resinous hops and caramely malt base. Flavour is malty and west coast style, with piney hops, some resinous, and a bit caramel malt backbone. Too malty for me, with a somewhat astringent finish. Not bad.
3.3 Tap at 1516 brewing (hope it' the right thing doesn't say nz, but say austria brewed). Pours amber with whiteish head. Aroma is hoppy, fruity, sweet. Flavor is sweet andbitter, fruity, citrus, malt. Finish is sweet and dry. Overall: ok ipa, but too mellow, feels kind of old, although it should not be.
3.6 On tap at the brewpub. Has a hazy amber colour with a light beige head. Lots of hops in the aroma with pine, grapefruit and some sweat. Flavour of grapefruit, pine and lots of grass in the aftertaste. Has a slick mouth feel and a medium body and bitterness. Hoppy but is well balanced. Solid.
3.2 Tap @ 1516 Bar Vienna. Uklar mørk orange med hvidt skum. Næsten ingen humle i næsen, mest malt og karamel. Bitter og moderat sødme. Ingen mere malt end humle. Ikke så stor fan.
3.0 Tap. Big off-white head on a slightly unclear amber body. Apricot, nectarine, candied fruit, a bit milky, onion. Light sweetness, dusty bitterness. Medium body, creamy with soft carbonation. A bit underwhelming. Messy aroma.
4.1 Tap at the brewery. Dark orange color, hazed, massive offwhite head, thick, rocky. Massive american hops smell lots of grapefriut. Aroma is nicely malty, light caramel, syrupy, resin, lots of fruity hops and light mineral. Taste is well balanced with a salty touch, tasty indeed, museum to full body, soft carbonation, silky texture. Intense bitterness in the finish, bit excessive, dryish still somewhat sticky. Very nice.
3.6 From tap at the brewpub. Lightly hazy, amber color with a white head. The aroma is malty - biscuit and honey - and lightly hoppy with pine and orange. Medium body with a medium sweetness and a medium bitterness. The flavor is medium hoppy with pine and resin along with grapes and medium malty with toasted bread, biscuit and caramel. Finishes bitter with a lightly metallic touch. Full with a good malt body and a lingering bitterness. Aroma: 7 Appearance: 4 Taste: 8 Palate: 4 Overall: 13
2.5 Tap at 1516 in Vienna. Opalescent and cloudy dark amber color, ivory foam. Nose: rotten vegetables, off malty aroma. Mouth: very strange, sweet notes of malts, nothing to report...really.
3.7 Tap at the 1516 Brewing Company, Vienna. Pours cloudy amber brown with a frothy off-white head leaving good lacing. Aroma of fresh hop, tropical and citrus fruit, light caramel and slight brown sugar edge. Moderate sweetness, medium to heavy bitterness. Towards medium body, slight oily texture, average carbonation. Dry, fruity, bitter finish.
3.3 Hazy orange-copper color. Aroma flowery with a caramel note. Taste full, citrus and piney notes, bitter with good supporting body, with the bitterness continuing into palate.
3.4 Tap at the brewpub, Vienna. Hazy orange shade. White head and lacing. Lots of dank and juicy hops flavours, simcoe perhaps? Quite soft tasting, not overtly bitter. Good stuff.
3.3 Słaby aromat, trudno wyczuć jakieś owoce. W smaku sporo lepiej, białe owoce, grejphrut. Wysoka goryczka która niestety trochę zalega. Ogólnie całkiem całkiem ale dla fanów IBU może okazać się topowe.
3.4 On tap at 1516 in vienna... I really enojyed this IPA and although it was not anything extremely special it felt very fresh!! Btw the food place is also great
3.5 Drank with Rik at the 1516 Brewpub in Vienna 10-2-2017. Decent IPA, bitter with some hops in the aftertaste. Not excellent but okay.
2.3 Aroma of sulphur, tropical fruits, caramel High, lingering bitterness. Lots of caramel in flavor. Not good at all, the only one of their beers i didnt like
3.5 On tap in Kaschk, Berlin-- Pours hazy pale yellow with medium white head. Nose is citrus. Aromas are grapefruit, train. Average carbonation, medium body. Long bitter finish.
3.5 Opaque golden yellow, off-white lasting, lacing foam head. Nice hoppy aroma and bitter taste, light citrus notes. (Vienna 201611)
3.5 Orange brown unclear with big white head; aroma is hop dominated, tangy oily, herbal, pine, smells already bitter; taste is herbal earthy hoppy, low to medium but malty grainy sweetness, solid dry bitter finish with herbal piney touch; oily and sticky mouthfeel with low to medium carbonation
3.4 On tap at 1516 brewing company. Pours hazy amber with a gigantic head that takes a while to dissipate. Aroma is subdued, perhaps due to the head, but there’s some acid and malts there. Flavour is more forward, with sweet caramel over bitter apple fruit hops with a pine finish.
3.7 Pours unclear amber, good White head. Smell is dry , bittehop, dry aromatic ( grassy ) big maltyback , corny. Taste is intense, green hops, not too bitter grassy, bit Pine even. Too bad it hasn’t got more bitterness. Weird sidenote ( plastic ) to it. Ok overall.
3.7 Draught @ 1516 Brewing Company, Venna, Austria. Pours dark golden with an offwhite head. Aroma of malt, light caramel, grass, light cheesy, fruity hops, peach, light pine. Flavor is rather bitter, malt, little caramel, bitter fruity hops, little pine. Medium body, average carbonation, dry and lasting bitter finish. 140816
3.9 On tap at 1516, Vienna, Austria. February 2014. Shared with lovely Anja, Dražen Kermit and Pero. Hazy orange, white diminishing head, leaving lacing. Heavily hopped, gummy candy, fruity and pleasant. Bitterness, getting stronger, but finishes abruptly. Full body, not to carbonated, drinkable. Good IPA, one of the best Austrian beers.
3.9 On tap @ 1516 microbrewery in Vienna. A decent US-style IPA with plenty of grapefruit and pine resin on the nose and tongue to balance out a thick robust biscuity malt base. Medium-full bodied with oily texture and average carbonation. Hazy amber appearance with a thick and lasting off-white head. You won’t find many places serving IPAs in Vienna and this just might be the best of them.
2.7 Tap. Orange color with white head. Aroma is cat piss hops, a touch of that vomit-like old hop feeling as well, some toasted malts and caramel. Grainy-bready body, a bit coffee even. Bitter dry finish. Doesn’t work out imho.
4.1 Full bodied hazy amber ale. Nose is primarily tropical fruits, especially grapefruits. Body is full, carbon moderate, texture hevier that thin. Taste is bitter. Palarte is varieties of tropical fruits, pine wood, oleoresin and dandelion milk. A really bitter aftertaste. D@BrewingCompanyPubVienna
3.7 Draught. Hazy amber colour, A nice malty ipa with citrus hops and a bitter finish.
