3.9355 ml can.
Pours clear orange color with a large white head. Very citric aroma, hoppy and piney, some resinous notes, caramel and subtle malty notes. Flavor is extremely mouthwatering with the blood orange, citrus notes, subtle caramel, distant grapefruits, resinous hops with nice bitterness. Really tasty citric bitter IPA.
3.9Citrus
3.8The aroma is hops, citrus. Pours a cloudy yellow orange with white head mostly lasting and excellent lacing. The taste is bitter. The body is medium, the texture creamy, the carbonation lively and the finish long. Very good, taste the oranges.
2.7Can into tall goblet. Slightly hazy amber beer with decent foamy head. Bitter orange zest aroma. Orange peel dominates taste, going a bit far with strong orange pith notes dominating everything. Don’t get much else. Not too sweet. Tangy aftertaste. Meh. Go chew some orange rind and pick another beer to drink. Not something to go back to.
1.5Can as pictured. Sat in the cold garage overnight in prep. Has a decent mild artificial orange aroma.Pour is pale yellow with a bigger foamy rocky head. First impact is a big bold green grapefruit rind mixed with orange peel attack. Bitter as all hell. Quite flat on the palate, mouth coating fer sher. Difficult medicine with all that green citrus nearly fermenting rind feel about it. Yes, so much for such a little $2 can. I think I feel bitter orange peel oil and sap thru the finish. Long bitter ending. Too much orange peel, except perhaps, for the fact it distracts you from the bitter hops. Not impressed.
4.2Great beer. Medium/dark amber, can smell the blood orange which in turn gives it it’s great taste. One of my tops coming from the 21st amendment lineup. Always good to have in stock.
3.7Can. Pours golden yellow with a soapy white head. Aroma of blood oranges and citrus. Flavor of blood oranges, citrus, bread, grapefruit and had a dry bitter finish.
4.1Clear golden orange... Aroma of blood orange, citrus, candied fruits... Flavor is juicy blood orange, lots of citrus sweetness, light bitterness on finish... solid
2.4It had everything I expected when I bought it, and nothing more. IPA flavor with a bit of orange zest.
5.0Awesome. First time drink an IPA with blood orange. One of my favorite fruit and one of my favorite beer. A great mix.
4.1Pours a dark translucent amber with a tight bubbly, not foamy, head. Pleasant nose brings sweet, dank citrus over heavy malt. Nicely balanced on the tongue with big orange citrus, equally big malt bones, nice bubbly carbonation, and hint of spice with a ever so slightly bitter end. Very well done. Now I need to try the base Brew Free or Die IPA to see how they compare.
3.5Crisp, super clear golden and light orange coloured body with a thick three to four centimetre tall tan head with large bubbles that stays afloat for a while. Aroma of pure blood oranges, grapefruit, citrus and a lot of bitterness from hops - very nice and strong. Medium-bodied; Very strong blood orange, citrus, grapefruit and even kumquat bitterness dominates up front with a lot of residual sweetness and a touch of the more earthy and grassy malt characteristics showing through right behind with a light floral and slightly piney bitterness at the end. Aftertaste shows some good balance between the malt and the bitter hops with a good adjunct of all the sweetness from the fruits, but also from some of the bitterness that comes from the citrus. Overall, a very nice and well-balanced IPA with a tons of fruit, sweetness and bitterness, all with a good malt backbone showing some alcohol, but not in the 'form' of a New England IPA, which is quite refreshing. In my memory, this is a better incarnation of the standard IPA, which was also nice, but I prefer Blood Oranges! I sampled this twelve ounce can purchased from Harris Teeter in Arlington (Pentagon Row), Virginia on 01-February-2020 for US$1,87 sampled at my house here in Washington on 08-April-2020, a few blocks away.
4.6Blood orangetastic, not overwhelming with citrus, has a nice balanced flavor.
3.919.2 oz tall boy can purchased from Plaid Pantry convenience store in West Salem OR.
$2.50
Pours a lighter copper colored body with a nice inch high rocky/frothy dirty white head.
Very nice strong aromas of oranges..seems real orange not artificial..some floral hop underneath. But real the orange aroma dominates.
Taste has more of the floral/citrus hops but the bitter sweet blood orange flavor is still there.
Nice medium well balanced mouth feel,,with semi drying finish
Nice beer for a convenience store
3.9Rich citrus aroma in a golden amber pour. Hop forward balance with a fresh citrus fruit salad body and sustained pithy bitter finish. Better than the base beer (to my mind at least).
3.9Orange body, thin lightly laced white head, aroma is orange rind and citrus fruit, flavor is big citrus, nice bitters on the back end, finishes dry and refreshing, enjoying this one ~ reminds me of weed strains like Tangelo and Clementine
3.412 oz can, drank on 13th Dec 2019, my daughters place; California. Misty pour, golden body, rocky white head. Strong orange aroma and flavours, semi-bitterness rules the taste, so more peel than sweet juices from the blood oranges to compliment their hoppy friends from the base brew of 'Brew Free or Die IPA'.
3.6Draft @ Wipeout, San Francisco, 1 pint. Almost clear reddish golden with a fine, creamy white head. Weak aroma. Taste is hoppy with a clear taste of oranges, especially in the aftertaste. Low to medium carbonation. A nice beer.
3.5Pours a hazy yellow color with a medium white head. There is a very strong orange aroma to this. You can taste some orange, pine, and a lot of hops. Pretty good beer that I would drink again.
3.6Can, TWSP. Hazy gold with a soft white head. Major orange peel and zest nose. Flavor is orange peel, orange pith, green leaf. Tasty.
3.9On the sweeter side of things, but I like the execution! I hung around for the ride and I can recommend.
3.2Canned from Helix Liquor. Hazy light amber in color. Bready hop flavor up front with some fruit lingering. Toasty malts. Fruit tastes fairly artificial.
2.8On Tap at Growler Guys, Meridian Clear light orange/copper color witha thin lingering soapy whate head and lacing. Decent orange in the aroams but comes off a bit chemically in the flavors. Very light and clean body, lingering bitterness that is as much orange pithiness as IBU.
3.8スッキリしたあじわいに、ipaらしい苦味、柑橘系のほのかなかおり
3.5Can. There’s a lot of orange in this. Pretty good citrus bitterness to balance out a high orange sweetness. Sticky, but not in a bad way. Decent.
3.4[19oz can frorness to closem Fullerton Beverages, Fullerton, CA] A slightly hazy amber pour with a loose cream coloured head; blood orange aroma; soft orangey taste with an underlying malty body; and a pleasant grapefruit bitterness to close. Rather good.
4.0Fun and tropical IPA. Blood orange taste is prominent and a nice twist
3.7Pours a slightly hazy golden orange on tap with fluffy white head that dissipates to leave moderate lace. Aroma of huge citrus notes, sweet candied orange and pithy hops, with a light caramel malty sweetness behind. Taste is orange on orange, pithy and sweet, with a light biscuit malt behind, and a decent bitterness to balance the sweetness. Pretty decent.
3.6Aroma is super orangey. Taste is moderate bitterness, the 70 IBUs hide pretty well among the oranges. Texture is crisp.
