4.2 Bottle from Etre Gourmet, bought in 2011? Hazy dark golden with a small white head. Nicely sour with funk, apples, cellar, oak and some citrus. Smooth and nicely drinkable. I could drink this one again...

4.2 Sampled from 750ml bottle and shared by BDR. Pours a hazy orange amber colored brew with a thick white head that really stick around. Aroma of tart and wild golden sour beer, a hint of citrus and earthy spice. Taste is equally tart and funky with flavors of mild citrus, horse blanket, read licorice and earthy spice. Finish continues the tart funk and dank cheese aftertaste. Everything I expect out of a bottle conditioned and aged Gueuze.
4.2 Bottle shared by Brad, thanks! Dry, earthy aroma with dried plants. Flavor is much more sour than the zomer i had first. Sour flavor, but hops and malt are therenin the flavor too. Excellent but not ss good as a Zomer in oeak form.
4.3 Pours a moderately dark orange with a fluffy billowing white head. What starts of as a pale yellow at the bottom of the glass ascends into darker orange notes. The aroma is leather, citrus, licorice and dirt. Incredibly complex with flourishing carbonation
4.4 Bottle bought at the brewery some years ago. Extreme sourish horse-blanket nose. The beer starts sour-fresh. Extreme sour tart dry body. Grainy with an intense dry sourness. Funky with lots of horse-blanket. Complex with sour fruity parts, smooth, sourish dry aftertaste with woody hints and fresh yeasty sourness. Very nice!
4.6 Sexy bottle thanks to Sam some years back and again to toby at ratebeer winter gathering for a refresher. Pours out a straw color topped with a small head. Nose is nice funky horse blanket dusty some light fruit notes and burning plastic. O you got you to love the burning plastic notes. Taste is more of the nice funky notes some dank cheese this one is amazing.
4.5 From bottle shared at Ratebeer Best awards and bottle-share. Hazy orange color with of white head. Yeasty aroma, funky dusty, barnyard, tart citrusy, lemon, grass and some piney notes, wood. Light sweet and light to moderate acidic taste. Medium oily body with soft carbonation.
4.0 Shared bottle at RateBeer Best. Pours a hazy, dark golden orange with a small white head. Aroma of citrus, fruit, and funk. Taste is lemon, orange, stone fruit, spice, and funk. Excellent.
4.6 Bottle shared with Nelson at Akkurat on 11/29/16. Very light-colored body and gushing with a white head atop. Clear. Wow, what a nose. As I mentioned in my Winter review, what this lacks in the sheer unique complexity of the Winter (strange fruits, must, cellar, mineral), it close to makes up for in just pure, unadulterated, bright, lambic goodness. Brett and lactic acid are intensely vivacious here, with lemon, tangerine, lime juice and hugely soft minerality on the back end, bolstering the aroma. In the mouth it’s just about as good, with a proper attenuation and carbonation and good pucker on the end. Apples, tangerines, lemons and lots of honey, with boisterous but not too intense lactic character, adding a good deal of sourness. I can see why this one is the favorite but I think I like the Winter just a bit more on account of its mysteries.
4.2 Bottle thanks to Craig. Pours hazy dark orange with a thin white blanket of head. Peach, aged sharp cheddar. Good
4.4 Bottle: Poured a hazy dirty golden color Lambic with a medium head with OK retention and some lacing. Aroma of funky barnyard notes with some tart notes also noticeable. Taste is a good mix of funky barnyard notes with some tart notes and light acidity also discernable. Body is full with good carbonation. Super easy to drink with good level of complexity and well balanced acidity level.
3.0 Bottle share. Poured a dark golden with a small white froth. Aroma of tart citrus. Medium body, flavour is a bit bland. Disappointing.
4.2 Pours a light amber with a light haze. The smell is mineral and funk. The taste is pepper, barnyard, some fruit with a tart ending. Fine structure and elegant carbonation.
4.6 Bottle at Xmas 2016 gathering, merci Phil! Pours plum, no head or lacing. Notees of plumb, some cereal, vinegar. Taste medium tart, light sweet. Light body, lively carbonation. Awesome.
4.0 A hazed dark golden Gueuze with a thin light mocha head. In aroma, intense Gueuze with intense tart cherry, light Brett, light lactic notes, horse blanket, very wild. In mouth, a nice tart Gueuze with light cherry notes, light Epsom salts, light Brett, light lactic notes, horse blanket, very intense and beautiful. Bottle at Ottawa Xmas gathering 2016.
4.3 Corked and caged Cloudy orange color, sparse bubbles rather than full head. Cobwebs and a hint of cheese, feet in the aroma, deep, rich; some bitter orange peel, properly aged Italian salame. Good body, astringency dominates, cedar peel flavor, some cobwebs. Excellent.
4.6 750ml bottle @ Alex’s. Pours a hazy copper orange with a thin off-white head that dissipates. Nose is complex funky notes, earthy, hay, a hint of acidity and light fruits. Flavour is a lot of funk and up front tart bite, smoothing out and with the carbonation mouthfeel creates a creamy like texture. Beautiful... Thank you Alex!
4.6 Pours a murky amber colour with an off-white head. Aroma of lemon rind, funk, and hay. Tastes very complex, yet still with balanced funk and acidity. Long sharp and dry finish. Amazing.
4.5 Vollmundiger, zitronig säuerlicher Antrunk. Weiche Noten, etwas Getreide, erdig. Sehr süffig, die Säure fährt deutlich zurück. Komplex, mild fruchtig, intensiv. Langer Nachhall. Super! 12/13/14/14/12/14
4.6 Pours a hazy golden orange from the bomber, apparently it gets darker with age, bubbly off-white head that dissipates quickly. Aroma of complex funk notes, earthy must, barnyard hay, a hint of acidity and light fruits. Taste is big funk with a tart apple note in the middle and a must wine type bite at the end. Still very bubbly for being 6 years old, super complex with things I’m not sure how to describe. Beautiful.
4.4 Lucky to try Lente, Zomer, Herfst all side by side. Lente took the cake, then Herfst and Zomer. Pours a cloudy golden brown yellow color. Aromas are of lemon juice, light vinegar, floral honey, funk and rubber. Taste is sour but not extreme, finishes minerally and definitely the softest palate of them all. They did something correct with this blend.
4.4 Bottle at Heeren van Liedekercke. Pours dark gold with a thick beige head and a magnificent fruit aroma. There is a mellow tart fruit flavor with a huge yeast presence and a dry finish. The lacing sticks to the side of a gueuze glass until the last drop.
4.6 750 at Heeren de Liedekercke. Pours orange Amber haze with a large beige head. Aroma is tart/sour citrus. Med body at least. Begins with a wash of fruity geuzue flavor. Yeast. Mildly sour. Fruit suggest orange a bit. Earthy. Damn near to die for.
3.6 Drunk from 75cl bottle bought direct from the brewery. Fantastic. Slightly darker than the normal geuze/lambic.
4.1 Bottle. Hazy orange color with white head. Aroma has fruits, yeast, berries. Taste is quite sour with long fruity aftertaste. Flavors of berries, fruits, malt, vinegar.
4.5 Bottle @ Pre Thermostat Incident share. Pours lightly hazy, vivid orange with a massive frothy slightly offwhite head. Aromas of oranges, lightly bready, citrus, lightly oxidative, peaches. Taste is bitter, quite developed but nice acidity, oranges, mandarin, light sesame seeds, peaches, lightly minty finish.
4.4 Bottle shared at Todd’s. No words for this one other than dry light funk apple very mellow. Excellent.
4.5 from Erzbierschof - hazy red-orange beer with a long lasting foam; woody with notes of green apples, cheesy and funky with hints of cork and redcurrant; full-bodied, creamy palate yet fairly sour; quite dry with a long lingering sourness; aftertaste of flowers, red berries and cheese - great !
4.1 Poured from a bottle. Aroma is interesting with a lot of spicy, herbal notes. Some light over ripe stone fruit notes. Light oak notes. A bit of a weird aroma, which may be oxidation? Pours a hazy, golden copper color with a small, white head that shows good retention as it recedes to the edges. Light lacing and small legs. Flavor is slightly sweet with moderately strong acidity. Nice mineral notes. Lots of herbal, earthy notes with a light spiciness. Some bitterness with light oak notes. Some moderate over ripe stone fruit notes. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, a nice beer but I was expecting more from Lente. It hasn’t aged well and is a bit oxidized. Finishes flat and has a lot of stone fruit.
