4.2 2016-11-01, corked bottle, 8-4-8-4-17=41 Cloudy golden color, generous head, reducing to a thin persistent layer. Delicate aroma of cellar mold, strong Brett, hint of hazelnuts. Quite smooth for a Gueuze, wonderful character, it has citrus peel, strong mineral, salt character, and strong astringency. Side to side with the Lente, this is more classic Gueuze, the Lente has much more fruit, oranges. 2011-09-18, tasting at Papsø’s, 9-4-8-4-17=42 Cloudy deep blond color, with generous head that reduces to a thinner layer, and nice lace. The aroma spreads in the room as soon as the beer hits the glass; deep barnyard smell, with citrus fruits. Good body for a gueuze, with some malt and wheat flavor, high acidic content, citrusy mouthfeel, strong barnyard. Sour final. Quite aggressive, but impressive al always from Drie Fonteinen.
4.5 750ml bottle @ Alex’s. Pours a slighly darker golden wheaty colour with ample creamy white head. Nose is sour, really funky with some fruity notes with lemon juice. Taste is sour, fruity and funky.
4.5 Pours a hazy amber colour with a thick and creamy white head. Aroma of lemon zest, and a hint of apricot and pear. Tastes acidic and citrusy, with a bit of lambic funk to balance. Interesting minerality too. Brighter and lighter than Lente, with a shorter, more dusty finish.
4.7 Bottle, six years after bottling. Pours hazy golden, with a big creamy head. Aroma is sour, with hay, tart fruity notes rhubarb, currants and citrus peel, nice farmhouse notes with barn and bretty wooden notes with barrels, and slight tobacco and dark fruits, as well as malty notes with cereals. Medium body, with average to fizzy carbonation. Flavour is acidic, with hay, citrus peel, bretty wood and floral notes, and farmhouse notes with horse blanket. Dry, wooden finish. Amazingly complex and balanced.
4.3 September 19, 2015. Bottle at Akkurat. Light hazy orange with a large creamy white head. Aroma is sour, funky and fruity with lemon juice, green apple, grain, barnyard, leather, grape skins, minerals and oak. Taste is sour, fruity and funky. Finish is sour green apples, lemon juice, grape skins, earthy leather and barnyard notes, some dry oak, herbs and mineral notes. Medium bodied, fine carbonation.
4.2 Aroma is interesting with some light malt notes. Decent herbal character with a light earthiness. Some grassy character with light citrus. Light notes of over ripe stonefruit. Pours a hazy, golden copper color with a small, white head that shows good retention as it recedes to the edges. Light lacing and small legs. Slightly darker than Lente. Flavor is nice with a soft acidity and mineral character. Decent herbal character with a nice bright citrus notes. Some light over ripe stone fruit notes and light oak. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium high to high carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, a nicer beer than Lente. Bright citrus notes with decent herbal notes. light oak, very nice.

4.5 (750ml bottle @ DHVL, Liedekerke, Nov 16 2015, split w/ phyllomedusa) Pours a fairly hazy orange-gold with a big fluffy white head and loads of lace. Aroma is cut wildflowers and wet grass with wet, spring mulch funk and hints of wood and underripe pit fruit. A bit musty but in a fresh way? Freshness continues on the palate which again is loaded with cut flowers, dandelion greens, mache, wet hay; light lime, a touch of oak. Mildly acidic finish repeats lime juice, more cut flowers, beautifully leafy. Just the right acidic bite. Light to medium crisp body, fairly high effervescent carbonation. Love how grassy and floral this is, with some fruit as well and a well-moderated supporting funk. Super refreshing and drinkable, maybe just not quite as standout as Lente. Splitting hairs!
4.2 750 mL bottle. Bottle dated 3/26/2010. Unknown original review date. Another gusher. Orange and hazy with a big head. Better retention than Lente, but otherwise a similar looking beer. Bigger funk aroma to this than Lente. Less citrus, but has more of a distinct orange aroma. The funk is like an aged [not sure what I wrote]. Very nice and distinctly different from Lente. Heavy funk flavor. Much heavier than Lente. Verging on a vinegar acidity. Dry and less fruity than I’d like. Herbal hops in the finish. Dry. Cottonmouth dry, really. Puckering from the dryness, but not really from the sourness. Not as high in carbonation. Good, but a step down from Lente. Hefty funk character that actually makes it feel a little sluggish.
4.4 Huge thanks to whoever opened this. Maybe Tony. If not an associate. Pours a foggy gold color. A quick dissipating white head. A big funky nose. A lot of fruit flavors. A funky flavor in the end. Really drinkable. Great.
4.3 Bottle shared 4ways @ Mikkeller Bar Victoriagade. Pours a deep amber with a white head. Aroma has fairly sweet floral notes, barn yard, funk, peach, vanilla, grape fruit sorbet (??). Taste is very dry, tart, lots of grapes, very funky, juicy yet dry. High carbonation, light and crisp body.
3.8 Vinegar horseradish aroma. Cloudy slight head. Very tasty balsamic vinegar with mustard.
4.1 Bottle @ Pre Thermostat Incident share. Pours hazy orange with a large frothy slightly offwhite head. Aromas of soap, bubblegum, citrus, sesame seeds, oranges. Taste is more acidic than lente, stone fruits, lightly bitter, not as sweet, highly carbonated too, not as complex but quite good still.
4.4 Bottle at Zwanze Day Zurich. Not quite as good as the Lente, but still an amazing geuze. Less punchy.
3.7 Orange with solid foam layer. The smell has parts of old feet and sourness. The taste is medium sour with a lively carbonation. The aftertaste has a sour and weirdly mild layer.
4.1 With Toni and anstei and some others. Hazy orange color with white head. Aroma is grassy, pollen, hay, dried grass, a bit menthol, a bit wood. Summer, yeah. Taste is "lieblich" with a good body, good wood, bread. Foamy carbonation, the carbonation tickles a bit. Great stuff again.
4.1 Shared bottle @ Mikkeller Viktoriagade. HAzy golden pour with tiny lacings. Musty oaky notes, funk, cheese, lemon and some light tartness.
4.1 Bottle at Cafe Sara, december 20th 2014. Hazy orange body with a small white head. Sour berry aroma with funk and lime. Grassy and herbal taste with a pleasant sourness. Dry tart finish with grapefruit. Crisp and clean
4.0 Bottle shared @ Mikkeller Viktoriagade. Pours hazy golden orangeish with a white head. Aroma is lots of barnyard, wet hay, sour grapes, green apples and some citrus. Medium bodied, smooth texture, crispy. Finish is slightly tart, dry and complex.
4.5 Bottle at Akkurat. Pours an orange yellow with a slight lacing. Aroma is earthy - smells raisiny like a barleywine or old ale, raisins, prunes and slight citric. Taste is mellow citrus, earthy, slight caramel, slight prunes. Better than Lente.
3.8 750ml bottle. Murky burnt orange. Not much head. Fruit cocktail aroma. Taste is green apple, straw, stewed fruits, bit of acidity, complex. It’s well poised on the tongue. Mostly dry, mild sourness, but balanced and very drinkable. Very nice but not quite how I imagined it to be.
