Cherry lambic with minimum fruit intensity 350g/L.
Oude Kriek 3 Fonteinen is produced by ripening of cherries (both the flesh and the seeds) in young Lambic. This process takes between 6 to 8 months. After bottling the beer matures for at least 4 months in a warm room where the spontaneous fermentation in the bottle is done.
The head of Oude Kriek is very sensitive to the concentration of the cherry seeds containing oil and may differ from one year to the other.
On old Cherry 3 Fonteinen, no flavorings, sweeteners, or dyes added which makes this beer very natural and is especially thirst quenching.

A beautiful, perfectly balanced oude kriek.
Just go for it.
Bottle, seizoen 16/17. nearly clear, dark red brown, tiny offwhite head. Barn and brett aroma, cherries. Tart, funky flavour, sour cherries, dry and fruity finish.

Deep ruby body, with a medium, frothy, pink head.
Aroma of barrel, ripe cherry, red apple, citrus, some funk, slight leather.
Tastes quite similar, with tart cherry, slight vinegar.
Medium, slick mouthfeel, with a moderate carbonation. Finishes dry, wooden, tart, slightly sweet, slightly leathery, with cherry, apple, some citrus.
Very nice. Not the most complex Kriek by 3F, but perfectly balanced and still with a lot of depth. Beautiful cherry notes throughout, drinks really elegant. Score: 8 / 4 / 8 / 4 / 15
37,5 cl fles. Assemblage n°33. 5,7%. Donkerrood bier met licht roze schuim. Geur: 'k riek iets van krieke, zuurtjes, een klein snoeperig zoetje, poepkes snoep. Smaak: citroenzuur, ufo snoepjes/zure hosties, zure krieken, kiekenpitten. Medium koolzuurprikkel.
rubino carico, velato, schiuma rosacea, grossolana ma persistente. aroma intenso e complesso. frutta rossa, ciliege e lamponi, legno, vaniglia, aroma tipico della fermentazione spontanea, citrico, pelle di salame, luppolo vecchio, erba appena tagliata. Gusto acido, decisamente importante, fruttato di ciliegia e speziato di vaniglia e legno, amaro da luppolo, citrico ed erbaceo. poco corposa, carbonatazione debole, atringente, poco calda. per lo stile equilibrata e decisamente armonica.

Zapach mocno wiśniowy, pestkowy, jeżeli dzikie nuty są to bardzo delikatne i w tle.
W ustach dosyć mocno wysycone, wyraźne kwaśne i pestkowe.
Wytrawne, bardzo wyraziste, w smaku jest trochę funky.
Posmak kwaskowy, pestkowy, lekko dziki.

Ruby color and a white head. Cherrys, red fruits, and a very nice sourness.
750ml bottle @ 3F tasting, Pien Brewpub, Helsinki. Tart and sour with intense cherry notes, some oaky woody notes, funky farmyardy notes and earthiness. Smoother and not as intensely sour as blend 89 (regular steel tank version).

375ml bottle. Sour, tart and funky with loads of cherries, some oak, wood and farmyardy notes. Quite heavy and sour
330ml bottle. Pours a mild purple with white head. Semi sweet nose with cherry, red fruits and tartness. Medium to light body with medium velvety notes and strong dryness at the back. Large amounts of funk and tartness at the front. White strong cherry and red fruits near the back. No bitterness or heat.
Bottle at Juomapuohi, Oulu. Pours deep red. Lots of cherries, some funk, intense sourness in the finish. Really nice.
Thanks Shu for sharing! Taster showing deep red with translucent center and sparse white foam. The nose shows intense notes of brett and dry sour cherry. The palate is well carbonated and medium bodied. Highly tart with sour cherries forward and throughout.

The nose shows moderately intense notes of cherries on a bed of light oak.
The palate is medium bodied and lightly carbonated. Moderately tart with moderately intense flavors of sweet cherries with a light vegetal tomato note on the finish and subtle oak throughout in the background.
Adding in my 300 Beers To Try ticks because I want to see how they impact my stats and some of them I will never see again. Will however re-rate them when practical.
375 mL bottle. No pop on the cork. Pours deep red with a few bubbles. Smells of oak and dried grass with a sweet jammy cherry backdrop. Tastes more balanced between sharp lambic characteristics and sweet cherry. It's an aggressive acidity, though. Deep, vinous, and deep cherry acidity. Some sweet cherry. The finish is earthy cherry and yeast. Very low carbonation, but not totally flat. It's fine, but I'd take other krieks over this.

Murky ruby body with a miniscule head. Retention is poor and I’m left with a ring around the surface and not much more.
Musty, funky, rife with barnyard aromas. This is why I love Drie Fonteinen lambics; they’re funk-forward. There is an acidity that carries a hint of cherry.
Right up front, I do get a sour cherry flavor, but it fades to funkiness and oak quickly. The middle is very much a hay and wood flavor, with a healthy dose of funk. The cherries return in the finish. It’s a battle between horseblanket and cherries that the cherries eventually win through a lasting tartness.
Maybe not as effervescent as I’d like it to be and the sourness does fatigue the palate just a bit. I’m being nitpicky, but it’s true. The carbonation isn’t as high as the Oude Gueze, but it’s still substantial enough to avoid complaint.
I love lambics with a lot of funk to them and this one delivers as all the Drie Fonteinen lambics seem to do. The acidity is still strong, but enjoyable. Good stuff and I look forward to comparing it to the Schaerbeekse I have stashed away.

Kolorek czerwony, porównywalny do soku z wiśni, zmętniony.
Wyraźny dziki aromat, po za dużą ilością wiśni i innych czerwonych owoców zdecydowana stajnia i końska derka, która jest charakterystyczną dla tego stylu piwa.
W smaku kwaśne, ściągające... Zdecydowanie czuć, że jest to dzikus, wszystko jest tutaj na swoim miejscu i jest wyraźne. Wiśnie, dzikość... Lekka pesrkowa gorycz.
Dla mnie osobiście jest to coś pięknego. Mogę pić całymi dniami

18-03-17 // 375ml bottle at Le Petit Belge, Wiesbaden. Lovely deep red lambic. Intense cherry sour nose. Taste is brilliant, this a well made kriek. Loads of cherry funk fruitiness, well balanced with a lacto sour note. Great!
(Bottle , 0.375 ll, thanks tiong, at Arde, 20200606) The beer poured ruby red and nearly clear. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had tartness, cherries, cinnamon and sourness. Palate was medium bodied and dry with medium carbonation. Flavours were tartness, cherries, cinnamon and bitterness. Aftertaste had cherries and bitterness. A very pleasant tart brew with cherry notes.

(Bottle, 0.375 l, at Pikkulintu) Poured deep red and almost clear. Head was medium sized and pink. Aroma contained cherries, sourness and mildly cow house. Palate was medium bodied and dry with medium carbonation. Flavours were sourness, cherries, cherry stones, berries, hint of sweetness, cherry fool and mildly bitterness. Aftertaste contained berries and cherries.

Bottle pour, bright red color. Light yeast and cherry aroma. This gives the impression it will be musty but is all cherry notes, tart cherry and the aftertaste is like a chocolate covered cherry.

375ml bottle pours out dark red topped with a small head. Nose is great a nice sweet tart cherry combo and plenty funky notes. Taste is more of the nice sweet tart cherries lots of layers funky so good.
Ultrawytrawny, intensywnie wiśniowy, kwaśny, do tego pestkowa cierpkość i bardzo wyraźne nuty stajni, końskiej derki. Bardzo dobry kriek, choć raczej dla już zaznajomionych z takimi klimatami, dla początkujących niekoniecznie.

Assemblage n82 17/18. Very sharp sour taste. Oaky notes cherry in the after taste. A little vingery not as complex as I hoped. Still packed with flavour and intensity.

Аромат прекрасен, много ягод и фруктов, в основе спелая вишня и косточки, как будто даже черешня, немного компотика, сухость, есть пресная нотка от сена и вообще фермы, немного других ягод. Цвет тоже супер, томный оттенок мутно красного цвета, пенка на удивление не маленькая, розовая скорее. Вкус тоже выше того что ожидал. Немного фермы вместе с корзиной вишни и косточки, кислота весьма сильная, прям щиплит во рту. Даже немного цитрусов появляется при глотке, также снова копмотик из ягод. Послевкусие плавное, и длительное, ферма снова в деле, но все очень сбалансировано.
