7 Fjell Ulriken Double IPA

7 Fjell Ulriken Double IPA

Serveringstemperatur 8-10 oC.

Nytes best:
- Til krydret mat
- Til orientalske retter
- Ved humleabstinens

Ingredienser: Vann; Malt: Pale malt, Pilsenermalt, Münchenermalt, Caramalt; Humle: Horizon, Citra, Simcoe, Summit, Amarillo; Gjær.

3.8 330ml Flasche, Batch 199. vom Duty Free im Oslo Airport. klarer heller Bernstein, etwas schmutziger hoher Schaum. Intensiver Harzduft. Dazu Aprikosenkerne. Wuchtig bitterer Geschmack, denoch weich. Die 100 IBU kitzeln auf der Zunge. Aprikose, Marzipan, Harz. Durch den Alkohol auch etwas süss. Blumig bitterer Abgang. Hat amEnde was von einem Kräuterbitter. Auch der Alkohol macht sich bemerkbar. Ziemlicher Brocken dieses Bier.
3.8 Bottle at a bar in Norway. Pours cloudy golden with a little white head. The aroma features tropical fruitiness, grain and also substantial amounts of grass. Taste is light to medium sweet initially, later medium to heavily bitter. Intensely hoppy and fruity. The palate is medium to full bodied, smooth and average in carbonation. Intensely hoppy but also drinkable, nothing from here.
3.8 Nice, hoppy and bitter beer. Full of citrus and pine hops and top-fermentation fruits as well. Quite full. Unfortunately alcohol aftertaste is too strong. But apart from this - it's a decent double IPA.
3.5 Tap at Takanoya. Cloudy, nasty orange-pink-brown. Nose is grapefruit, orange, pine. Huge fruit flavor, very tropical. Nice.
3.5 Fruity, good hops profile, light body, medium carbonation, not to bitter and very balanced...this is only what i remember unfortunately!
4.3 Double IPA is one of my favorite styles and Ulriken is one of the best of them. Skàl!.

3.6 On tap @brewdog bar. A copper beer almost without head. Nose on exotic fruit, almond and mango. Taste is medium sweet to high, same for the bitterness. Aroma on hop resin, coconut, exotic fruit, caramel and mango finish.
3.7 Appearance: Light golden, clear. Some white head. Aroma: Exotic fruits, good hops. Taste: Lots of exotic fruits, strong hops. Lingering bitterness. Very nice. Bought: Vinmonopolet (Online), 330 ml, NOK 52.50 Info: 24/9-2017, BB: 2/1-2017(?)
4.6 0.33l bottle thanks to Lore. Hazy orange body with a white head. Huge complex hop aroma with notes of toast, resin, citruses, grass, pine and some berries. The taste is not less complex either. Lots of tropical fruits come first like passion fruit and mango followed by toast, grapefruit and pine. Wow! Awesome DIPA.
4.6 Bottle thanks Lore! Hazy gold. Musty, resiny, sappy hops. Very clean aroma. Mango, citrus, maracuja at first then sappy deep bitter resiny hops. Super balanced and I like the alcohol level at 8.5. Great iipa and paired perfectly with spicy habanero pasta sauce dinner.
3.6 Backlog. Bottle in Bergen. Pours hazy golden with white head. Aroma of caramel, citrus, grape and orange. Flavour is medium sweet and medium bitter. Body is heavy medium and texture is oily. A decent one, almost nice...
3.3 0,3 litre Bottle from TaxFree store Gardermoen AirPort. Cloudy Golden with white head. Malts, hops, Tropical and citrusy aroma and taste.
3.5 Hazy orange/amber, with a finger of white head and nice lacing. Aroma of ale malts, pine and light notes of tropical fruits. Tastes medium bitter, strong malty character with caramel, resin, orange peel and tropical fruits. Medium body, soft carbonation, quite smooth. Decent DIPA not raped with hops.
3.3 (Bottle, 0.33 l - batch 137 - BB 08.01.18, at The Bull, Tampere, 20170808) The beer poured deep amber and clear. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had fruitiness, spiciness and grass. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were fruitiness, sweetness, grass, malts and bitterness. Aftertaste was sweet, hoppy and bitter. A mediocre hoppy pale ale. Bit papery.
3.2 On tap at Vrteška 2017, shared with Višnja 666! Clear to hazy golden, small off-white head. Medium hopped, herbal. Bitter. Alcohol hidden. Medium body, medium carbonation, dry finish. Nothing special.
3.7 8 3 8 3 17 33 cl bottle, brought by my wife from her stopover in Oslo :-) Hazy orange/amber color. Off white head with little retention. Aroma’s: malty sweetness, tropical fruit. Retronasal it’s quite citrussy/zesty and resinous, a bit herbal/skunky hops. Flavor is above moderate bitter with light malty sweetness. Medium bodied. Long finish, somewhat dry, herbal hoppy, not overly bitter. Nice one.
3.7 Bottle. Has a slightly hazy dark amber colour with a big beige head. Aroma of grapefruit and other tropical fruits, pine and grass. Flavour of grapefruit, peaches, pine and some caramel. A little dry in the end. Has a slick mouth feel, medium to full body and medium to heavy bitterness. A fruity and nice IIPA.
3.7 hazy orange colour, large, dense and stable yellowish oww-white head; aroma of apricot, some citruses, pine notes and biscuit; taste of overripe, almost rotten apricot/peach? and tropical fruits, syrupy sweetness and medicinal bitterness; not bad, but definitely not among the best IIPAs
3.7 Light opaque golden yellow, off-white lacing foam head. Great hoppy aroma and bitter tste, some citrus notes here. Fine beer. (Bergen 201706)
3.5 Draught at Brus. Hazy amber colored with a medium sized white head. Fruity aroma of caramel, hops, pine needles and resin. Fruity flavor of caramel, hops, resin and pine needles. Hoppy finish.
4.0 Draught at Henrik Øl & Vinstore (having walked Vidden earlier!). Pours a nice hazy golden amber with a one finger white head that lasts. Lovely pungent nose of buckets of tropical fruit, sweaty socks, acetone and pine resin. Taste is initial decent medium bitterness, resin, warm booziness and a big juicy bitter hit. First mouthfeel, nice and full, and a dry finish of tropical fruit hops. Delicious.
3.7 Tap @Brus. Nearly clear golden, thick offwhite head. Fruity, hoppy aroma. Peach, malt and a little pine. Sweetish flavour, mellow pine with a smooth fruity finish.
3.3 Bottle from Hopwater Cellar, Newcastle under Lyme. Pours muddy golden amber with off white head. Very resinous, sticky DIPA.
3.6 Hoppy aroma with distinct citrus fruits, my thoughts go to grapefruit because of that sweet and refreshing opening with the bitter finish. Something about it also reminds me of juniper. Under the hops there is a trace of warm caramel from the malt. The alcohol manage to stay in the background of all this, but you definitely notice it if you search. To the end the acidity of the ale gives it a little taste of apple Cloudy and golden with a white medium head. Unfortunately the head disappeared quite fast. Nice balance, both the sourness and sweetness are clear without overpowering each other. In the beginning the bitterness is well-balanced too, but through the end the bitterness takes over and sits in the mouth for a while. Light-medium ale that feels lively and refreshing in the mouth. Like previously mentioned it has a bitter an medium-long finish. A good ale which will fit perfectly as an IPA combined with food, and it is also quite tasty on its own. Unfortunately the ale is a little too perfumed with hops which makes the ale lose some of the qualities from the yeast and malt every ale should have.
3.2 On tap at Vrteška, 2017. Pours hazy golden with white head. Light hoppiness, some fruit, apricot, malty. Creamy texture. Sweetish with some bitterness in finish. Not the freshest one I guess. Medium bodied.
3.4 On tap at Vrteška. Perfumey, slightly yeasty aroma, creamy, notes of peach. Bit oxidized. Creamy taste, perfumey, orange candy, light bitterness. Yeah, shows its age, might be fine when fresh (which I hope to try and rerate), but like this, not worth it.
4.2 Flaske på Humle og Bier. Aroma sitrus, humle, malt. Utseende uklar gylden med lett hvitt skum. Smak humle, sitrus, malt, alkohol, karamell. En rund, kraftig og godt balansert ipa. Godt øl
3.6 11th March 2017 Light haze on this gold beer, tidy pale cream colour head. Smooth palate, decent minerally carbonation. Very smooth malts, some silky cream. Pine and orange. Bitterish orange peel underneath. There is a vodka like alcohol running throughout in the background but it, like the whole of this beer, is pretty smooth. Pretty drinkable.
