8 Wired Hippy Berliner

8 Wired Hippy Berliner

A refreshing, light, hoppy, sour and very fruity tasting beer inspired by traditional Berliner Weisse ales. Naturally soured by live cultures and hopped with American and New Zealand hops. It's Juicy, dude. Originally brewed for GABS 2015.

4.7 Pours with thin foam and pale straw color. This is the standard of sours!! Very well balanced, subtle aroma of yogurt.
3.9 Ich bin ein Hippy Berliner. - President John F Kennedy, maybe June 26, 1963
3.0 Very light weight and not complex..metallic finish
3.1 Refreshing lemon'y in aroma. Oily body that's slightly sour in the finish. Good session beer.
3.4 Lightly soured. Smooth. Delicious easy drinking
3.6 44cl Can @ Boxbeers.com, Copenhagen, Denmark. Golden colour with a medium size white head. Aroma is malt, hops, citrus. Taste is malt, sweet, hops, citrus, slightly tart, hints of vanilla and grass. Medium body, average carbonation.
3.7 Golden with rich white creamy head. Hoppy aroma. Medium sour with certain hoppy bitterness (as it was promised).
1.9 400ml can (Alus Celle, Riga) (4:3:4:2:7=1.9) A crazily frothy pour, barely fits into 3 lined halves. Hazy and pale, rather insipid. Dirty gently sour aroma, maybe a touch of lemon juice. Watery palate, quite fizzy, not so much in the way of sourness. Bland taste, some light citrussy aspects. Gentle bitter throb in the finish. Ubermeh.
2.9 FiZzy like a sparkling beer. Very carbonated.
3.9 Can from Cask & Flask in San Jose, CA. Aroma is grassy hops, vegetal. Taste is pilsner-like spicy hops, sweet grass and a nice light dry finish. Very refreshing with the right balance to showcase the hops flavors.
3.4 Light, sparkly Berliner. Nice initial light sourness, but it fades too fast. Not getting too much on the hop side of things. Nice but hoped for better
3.3 Appearance: Light yellow, slight haze. Fizzy, good amount of creamy, off-white head. Aroma: Light fruits, lemon. Some wheat and sourness. Taste: Good wheat, slight sourness, but not too much. Light fruits, some lemon. Refreshing. Bought: boxbeers.com, 330 ml, €4.57 Info: 21/12-2018, BB: 6/7-2019
3.7 From bottle in pint glass. Pours clear gold w/wispy white head that faded quickly. Lime & herbal hop elements in aroma and taste blend well w/mellow tartness. Refreshing
3.5 Small frothy fizzy white head. Fair lacing. Fully diminishing. Clear light-yellow body. Aroma: moderate hoppy, flowers, resin, orange. Initial flavor: light sweet bitter. Final flavor: light acidic; average duration. Palate: medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation and light astringent finish. a presença do lúpulo desfigura o característico aroma do estilo. 60 s
3.5 Poured a clear yellow champagne color with aromas of light hops, sour wheat, a touch of hay. Flavors are the same light tart wheat a touch of hops and some sourness. Solid and enjoyable.
3.2 Can thanks to Adam. Pours a pale golden with medium white head that lasts. The aroma is grass and citrus. Slick body, lemon, apple, grass, dough, tart finish, good.
3.7 14.9 oz single can from Warehouse Liquor Mart, BB 09/02/20. Orange colored appearance with mild haze and large white head. Aroma of lacto funk, tropical fruit, orange juice and light wheat/grains. Similar flavor, adding moderate acidity and light sweetness. Light body with ample carbonation, a mild puckering feel and tart/fruity finish. Nice.
3.3 Bottle sample at a tasting at Max' place. Thanks Stas and Max. Hazy blond with a white ring. Some berries and faint yogurt aroma, sourish but light taste, a little bit of berries. Light body, sour and lactic finish.

Sorachi? Lekki cytrusik, lacto z tyłu. W smaku trochę zbyt wodniste, zbyt mało intensywne, lekko kwaskowe, lekko goryczkowe, nawet nieźle koperkowo soczyste. Bardzo pijalne nic specjalnego.
3.7 Bottled. A hazy yellow beer with a white head. The aroma has notes of wheat, lemons, hops, and straw. The flavor is sour with notes of straw, wheat, lemons, and hops, leading to a tart finish.

3.1 28th August 2017 Level 42 Bottlshare. Thanks to Colin. Almost clear pale gold beer, good white head. A Trace of thin sweetish malts. Light lemony yoghurt. More lemon. Light finish. Inoffensive.
3.7 Bottle at home 28/11/2017.
3.3 August 2017 - Bottle share at One Canada Square. Huge thanks! As ' 8 Wired Hippy Berliner', 4.0%. Very pale golden yellow, clear and still with a foamy white head. Aroma is pretty airy and light with some notes of apple and pear. Body is light and frothy with tingly carbonation. Taste is pear, sodawater, apple, sugary notes with a little spice in the finish. Not much to it but it's clean and tasty enough. (6-4-6-3-14=3.3)
