3.9 Bright cloudy yellow-orange body with a frothy white head. Aroma of resinous, citrusy hops. Smells like Simcoe - Centennial territory. Taste is bold with a lot of grapefruit, pine, resin notes. Bitterness for days. Juicy. Creamy mouthfeel, full body.
3.0 Flaske.
3.3 Beer rather malty than hoppy - I was expecting a little bit different profile after reading notes on the label. Fruity and tropical aroma with nice hints of busquits. Taste is fruity, tropical and floral, with niticable alcohol aftertaste. Not bad overally.
3.9 33cl Bottle @ Okasional Beer, Barcelona, Spain. Golden colour with a thin white head. Aroma is hops, citrus, fruits, pine. Taste is hops, citrus, fruits, resin, herbs. Medium body, average carbonation.
4.9 500ml bottle from New World Blenheim. Hazy yellow fruit juice pour with nice lacing. Aroma of stone fruits. Wow this is straight up peach juice. Maybe some apricot mixed in their and a bit of yoghurt. Fantastic IPA. Easy drinking for a DIPA - not too malty. One of the best in its style...and Ive had Heady Topper.
4.0 From bottle in IPA glass. Pours deep golden with 1 cm white head and hoppy aroma with the usual suspects-citrus & pine-but more complex than most. Excellent malt/hop balance with a remarkably dry finish by DIPA standards
4.2 Aroma sitrus, malt, krydder. Utseende tåkete gylden med offwhite skum som henger. Smak humle, sitrus, malt, Flaske delt av DjOeye på Hamna O Bier, 33cl 8,8% Gave fra Rune
3.5 Aroma; herbal spicy hoppy fruit bunch, pale malts. Head; off white. Body; light pale golden. Taste; juicy power hops, yeasty juice, big leafy stuff, strong citric juice and a herbal manifestation. End; hoppy. Co2; ok. Body; strong. Overall; imperial. [tasted@ havna&beer, gift from Rune]
3.7 250ml on tap at Namtons house bar. Thin creamy white head. Very hazy golden pour. Lovely bitterness.
4.4 330 ml bottle. bought in a liquor store in Sydney. Clear golden color, low head. Nice smell, some almonds and pepper on top of all that hop. Very complex and fully taste, fantastic, takes all your mouth and no chance to escpae from it. Lovely beer, would have it again. A double ipa that is not all bitternes, but taste as wel.
4.0 Not the bad boy they claim. While hoppy, not bitter or overpowering. Best thing about it, the aroma. Pineapple fruit punch.
4.0 Pours golden-orange with just a slight haze. Full on ripe tropical fruits in the nose - should be sweet but all of these hops are making this feel quite dry actually. Without hops it would be barleywine but this one is still relatively fresh. OK, next I bite into a pile of hops. There is also some more ripe fruits, pears, some orange, mango and papaya. Finish is dry, bittersweet and displaying resins, pine needles quite well. Good stuff, really great fix for any hop cravings you might have.
3.4 There’s loads of resinous hops in this absolute bomb, together with plenty of grapefruit and a heap of alcohol. It’s a little overwhelming, even for my tastes as a big IPA fan.
3.4 15/20 mmm tasty, big orange taste, big alcohol kick but moreish. Slightly too bitter for me but really good
4.1 Bottle, 33cL. Home. An orange light opaque beer with a medium white head ; medium retention ; ok lacing. Fruity+ (tropical fruits, red berries, citrus), resin, herb, light alcohol, light biscuit. Medium round sweet, medium to heavy dry bitter refreshing, sunny atmosphere, light spicy. Good body, medium oily texture, average to soft carbonation, bittersweet dry fruity finish. Overall, delicious !
4.2 Aroma: Medium/heavy aroma of malts, grape, orange, tropical fruit, hops, citrus and grapefruit. Appearance: Turbid/opaque yellow/golden beer with heavy yeast and with a slight/medium white head. Taste/Palate: Starts medium sweet with malts, grape, orange and tropical fruit; ends slightly bitter and dry with hops, citrus and grapefruit. Overall: This beer is intense, complex and balanced. What a bucket full of a perfect mix of hops. Sweet orange, mango and a mix of soft grapes, melon and pineapple; with a superb finish of rather bitter citrus and grapefruit. Great aroma and appearance as well.
4.1 Bottle 33cl. Cloudy yellow with a white creamy head. Hoppy aroma with hints of malt. Very concentrated flavour, citrus, pine, malt and heaps of hops. Long lasting finish.
2.8 Bottle sample at a tasting at Tom’s place. Thanks zvikar. Clear gold with white film. Ripe orange, a little stale aroma. Sweet and then a little bitter with honey undertones. Medium body, honey finish, rather sticky and fizzy.
3.2 Tap. Clear, orange, frothy, white foam, light sweetness, medium bitterness, medium body, oily feel, soft carbonation, & bitter finish.
3.0 Bottle sample at a tasting Tom’s place. Thanks Tom. Clear golden with off-white head. The aroma has notes of caramel, some fruitiness and some graininess. Sweet flavor, light hoppy bitterness, notes of grains, caramel and citrus. Medium-bodied.
3.5 Backlog, ocena przepisana z untappd, w ramach uzupełniania profilu na ratebeer.
3.2 Bottle sample at a tasting. Thanks Tom L. Hazy yellow orange. Caramel and stale hops aroma, honey, onion ad pine. Sweet, fruity, malty, caramel, honey, citrus, strong bitterness in the finish. Medium-bodied, smooth. Not fresh, still decent.
3.1 Pours yellow to brown with a beige head, aroma of orange, caramel, toffee, flavor of orange, caramel, tangerine, muddy, medium bodied
4.1 Bottle (best before 26.04.17) from Bridgend Service Station. Hazy golden body with a medium white head. Low carbonation. Good lacing. Aroma of grapefruit, sea salt and pineapple. Flavour of melon, white grape and honeycomb. Medium body with a syrupy mouthfeel. Very easy drinking for the strength. I’d love to try this fresh on keg.
4.0 Leicht trübes Orange mit durchschnittlicher Schaumkrone. Malzig, sehr fruchtig, Zitrus, Grapefruit, harzig, etwas Honig, sehr trocken.
3.9 0,33l bottle at home. No BB date. orange clear color, medium big white head. smells of pines, candy, grassy, spices, bit parfumy, some exotic fruits, melon, citric, tobacco. nice smell. full body, soft carbonation, slick mouthfeel. tastes rather creamy, resin, some pines, bit peppery, some exotic fruits, melon, bit earthy, light parfumy, light candy, light coffeeish. finishes lightly bitter with notes of pines and coffeeish notes. quite good one, bit heavy and not overly crisp, but still very nice enjoyable beer. must be great fresh. great balance, lovely pine notes.
3.8 A slightly orange beer, a head is medium and blond. Aroma has mangos, papaiyas, grapefruits, also fructose. Taste has fruitness of mangos and papaiyas, grapefruits, pine, at least medium bitterness, also sweetness. Medium+ bodied. Not so fresh anymore, that’s degreased the best freshness. But good beer anyway, balanced.
4.1 Bottle from Rehills of Jesmond. Golden with a nice big frothy white head. Huge aroma of grapefruit and mango. The taste starts sweet with masses of tropical fruits. More grapefruit and mango over smooth caramel. Alcohol is very well hidden. Excellent.
3.7 Bottle from Tanakaya. Big, juicy, syrupy fruit nose, peach, melon, orange, grapefruit. Sweet malt. Hazy orange-gold with a low head. Sweet, fruity, very hoppy. Iced fruit cocktail: grapefruit, cherry, grape, orange, nectarine. Very nice fruit. Sweet but not silly. Rather heavy, syrupy body, though. Great hops, and pretty nice overall.
4.1 Taster at Mikkeller Seoul (had in New Zealand before too). Grassy and sweet for the nose, and lots of sweet hops for the tongue. There’s grape, citrus and grass notes and it slips down really smooth. This is a supremely well balanced imperial IPA.
