3.2 Courtesy of Jaghana.

3.2 2/19/2009 4:58:47 AM In Oslo over the holidays. Ruby red body with medium head. Sweet and malty nose. Taste is also malty, with coffee, caramel and bitter notes. Short aftertaste. Warming.
2.5 Klart rødbrunt med fint skum. Lukten domineres av målt med en del ufriske toner. Smaken er av korn og karamell med en fin bitterhet mot slutten.
1.8 (From can. Presumably canned 8/2015 as BB date is 16.8.2016) Nice dark amber colour. Off-white head subsiding within a minute or two. Nose: Quite simple. Some malt, some hoppiness and some mustiness. After some airing it does become more malty, though. Taste: Medium light body, a small touch of sweetness and a littlle bitterness. So in its on way kind of balanced but just with too little of everything. Medium to rich carbonation. In the medium long aftertaste burnt malt and hoppy bitterness join forces to create a not so pleasant finish. Would probably work somewhat better together with (not too rich) Norwegian Christmas dishes. As a lone drink, however: too bitter and thin for a Christmas beer. This tastes as the water diluted beer it probably is. Would have been interesting to taste it pre-dilution, although I still feer it wouldn’t have been completely balanced. I’m sorry to have to rate a traditional (albeit diluted) product from my favourite Norwegian "commercial" brewery so low. But a man has to do what a man has to do. Let’s (desperately) hope it may gracely age into a nicer score around easter......
2.2 50 cl can, 2015 vintage. Dark reddish amber, two-finger off-white to tan head, crystal clear, low cabonation. Really a nice looking beer. Not much aroma. Dry and bitter mouthfeel, probably from the hops. It’s a weird one, this beer. It don’t smell much, and it don’t taste much. The only footprint is the dry, fizzy carbonated mouthfeel and a great look. Would probably benefit from beeing stored for a year or so.
2.3 Appearance Pours a clear light amber, with a dense white head that leaves some lacing Aroma Butterscotch, malt, herbal notes, currants, dried fruits Taste Sweet, a bit lacking in bitterness Palate Regular "macro feel"; ie. light, sparkly, thin.
