3.5This bottle seems old and stale. But there is no date. If you can look past that it is a nicely flavored beer. Online etre bier bottle
3.633 cl. bottle @ home, served in a teku glass, due date: 2021/10/08.
Aroma: quite powerful aromas of bread, bread crust, yeast, spices, caramel, burnt caramel, brown sugar, burnt brown sugar, hints of alcohol.
Appearance: brown to dark brown with light brown and very creamy head made of tiny to big sized bubbles. Medium to high head thickness, high retention and very low Brussels' lacing. Medium to high haziness. A thin layer of foam remains on top of the beer.
Taste: medium sweetness, low bitterness, low sourness. Flavors of caramel, burnt caramel, brown sugar, burnt brown sugar, yeast, bread crust, bread, spices, dark dried fruits (raisins, dates, prunes). Balance is toward the sweetness but it is not cloying and quite complex, with many layers of flavors.
Mouthfeel: medium body, oily to silky texture, medium to high carbonation, very long mainly sweet finish with the same previously mentioned flavors and medium sweetness. Alcohol is slightly noticeable in the aroma and flavor and because of its mouth and throat warming, but well hidden overall. Astringency is low but slightly noticeable.
Overall: good looking, powerful aromas and flavors of caramel, burnt caramel, burnt brown sugar, brown sugar, bread crust, bread, yeast, spices, dark dried fruits (raisins, dates, prunes). Maybe it would be better with less carbonation and less alcohol.
3.6Brown with a frothy to creamy beige head. Aroma full of caramel, plum jam and clove. Taste is bittersweet and full of spice, particularly at the finish. Medium bodied with a prickly carbonation. Nice.
3.4Slightly murky brown with a medium off white head. Dark malts, toffee, raisins, gingerbread spices for aroma. Halfway medium sweet, softly bitter and a soft acidic taste. Just under medium body with medium carbonation. Tasty beer. Simple but tasty. Not getting the full bodied experience most raters speak of.
3.4Bottle from the crafty bottle Lincoln. Deep dark chestnut brown colour with a thin off white head. Aroma banana and spice. Taste caramel, light fruity sweet and spice. Rich dried fruit. Full body.
3.6Flaska från hopt. Mörkbrun vätska. Rejäl jästfällning. Doft av torkad frukt, jäst och kryddor. Samma i smak. Fyllig och kryddig
2.6Brun, relativ mørk, grumset/temmelig meget bundfald. Aromaen er malt, belgisk gær, smagen er sødlig, let krydret. Fin øl men mængden af bundfald tæller meget ned.
4.2Brown color with tanned head. Aroma has dark malt, raisins, chocolate and vanilla. Taste is malty sweet with long a bit sweet aftertaste. Flavors of caramel, vanilla, coffee, dark malt, chocolate and raisins. Excellent mouthfeel and very tasty.

A naso dolce, speziato e alcolico.
3.5330ml bottle bought at HKBWEX in Mong Kok.
Looks: Translucent amber brown colour with a ring of dirty yeast particles; One finger head with soapy off-white foam which last for 2 minutes; Very good sticky lacing with fizzy carbonation.
Aroma: Fragrant and sweet brown malt, with caramel, toffee, light dark fruits, floral, sugar, dry biscuits, strong Bel yeast and light grass.
Taste: Mid to strong sweet malt, with strong alcohol, dark fruits, strong toffee, caramel, floral, sugar, spices, liquorices, herbs, dry biscuits, strong Bel yeast, lemon, medium bitter hops and grass.
Body: Close to full body. Quick thick Slick palate.
Mouth Feel: Very good brown maltyness in a solid background. Well attenuated with prominent Bel yeastyness, showcasting dryness and right dose of medium residual malt sweetness. Toffee-ish and caramel dominate with dark fruits. Notable booze and liquorices. Flowery, herbal light spicy with lemon to round. Neat!
Hoppiness: Floral and light grass in nose. Herbs, floral, spices lemon and grass in taste; Bitterness is fairly strong for a lasting, medium astringent sweet-bitter brown malty finish.
After Taste: Dry. Herbal biscuity and quite bitter to mouth.
Comments: As a Christmas beer, this one doesn't use any adjunct spices to impress, but instead it attain the typical tight dryness and booze with high fermentation and strong Belgian yeast presence. Not the top Christmas beer, but it's in there somewhere.
4.129 December 2018. Christmas beer evening; shared with Anke. Bottle from Dranken Geers.
Pours hazy dark brown with a big, lasting, foamy, tan head; lots of lacing, some sediment. Quite intense aroma of licorice, caramel, candied orange, lemon zest & plum, pear syrup, walnut, clove, cookie dough, aniseed, earth (weirdly 'modeling clay' comes to mind), 'orangettes', rather strong hint of alcohol (tequila). Taste is medium to heavy malty sweet, notes of caramel & dough, candied orange, a bit nutty, which counters the sweetness; light to medium herbal bitter middle has green tea, spicy licorice & an earthy note. Dryish, herbal hoppy finish, slightly earthy, lingering dough, caramel & candied fruit, dash of warming alcohol to top it off (liqueur, triple sec perhaps). Medium to full body, creamy texture, soft carbonation. A big Belgian Quad as we like it!
3.733cl bottle. Slightly hazy, nutty brown with a very fizzy off white head. Candy aroma, flavour is candy, some orange, some grassy hops and a little spice. Decent but not the most complex
3.4Bottle. Deep amber color with a thin head. Aroma of yeast, grain and berries. Sweet taste with a bitter finish. Medium body.
Textura casi sedosa. Carbonatación alta.
3.7A bottle from L'Apero. Aroma: sour, malty. Appearance: opaque oxtail soup, tan lacing. Palate: medium-bodied and slick, average carbonation, sweet, malty finish. Taste: medium sweet, malt, candy. Too sweet for me.
3.7Bottle from Cornelius. Dark brown, beige head. Nose is sugary sweet caramel, dried fruits, raisins, winter spices. Tastes similar. Nice, if very sweet.
3.7Aroma: Fruity sweet with dried fruits and yeast.
Flavour: Fruity sweet with dades and prunes. A good bitterness and an tangy fruity aftertaste.
Colour: Orange brown with an offwhite head.
From: Bottle @ Salling Aarhus Dec. 2018.
3.9Frothy beige head stayed on a dark oak coloured still body.
Malt, cream, demerara & spice aroma.
Medium to full bodied, super smooth & chewy in the mouth with a light tingly clean finish.
Caramel, brown sugar, spice, milk chocolate & dried fruit tastes with a slightly citrus & berry back.
3.8Bottle from Beergium. Aroma is brown malt with caramel, spicy yeast, clove, dried fruits, touch of nutmeg, toffee, raisins, nuts, brown sugar. Sweet flavour with a mild bitterness. Body is medium. Pretty complex and balanced, quite similar to the equally fine "Brune". I'd love to compare them.
3.6Murky reddish brown beer a malty, boozy, caramel aroma. Taste has all that with a nice fruity tang to it and a bit of zingy, bitter citrus hop in there too. A touch of spice too which lingers into the aftertaste. This is really good.
3.8Bottle. Dark brown with a small tan head with good lace and regeneration. Dark dried fruits, brown bread, brown sugar, light krydderkage, flowers. Full body, medium sweet and bitter with warming alcohol. Long finish with dark fruits.
