Fleur-de-lis Restoration Ale is made with English Pale, Lager, Crystal and Cara Pils malted barley. We liberally hopped and dry hopped our Ale with American Cascade and Centennial hops and fermented it with California Ale yeast. The result is a brilliant gold ale with a rich body, mild bitterness and a snappy fresh citrus hop flavor and aroma.

2.4a fruity slightly sweet blonde ale with a prickly mouthfeel. slightly lacking as a lot of Abita beers do, but not bad...
3.3Light haziness , copper color. Thin , weak head. Aroma of tropical fruits , malt and hint of butterscotch. Slightly sweet taste with decent hoppy background. It finishes abruptly, almost without aftertaste.
3.4Bottle from Appellation Wines. Pours slightly hazy golden. Nose is tangerin, citrus, grassy hops, caramel. Taste is citrus, grassy hoppy bitterness, biscuity malts. Decent.
2.7Bottle at Borefts 2015 after tasting... Amber.. Thin white lacing.. Soft sweet toffee fruit... Caramel toffee nose.. Soft t
3.5Light, summery session ale with more character than most in this category. Murky gold topped by a head that was as thick as it was persistent. Nice fruity aroma - mango, OJ, pineapple. Good body. Moderate bitterness - above average for this style so long as you don’t expect a hop bomb. Good solid malt foundation here. Bright, tangy hops. Overall, great balance. I liked this more than I expected to after a few ho-hum Abitas. (355ml bottle from Carrington Cellars, Katoomba)
3.0Hazy, amber colored, moderate white creamy head, nice lacing. Aroma is sweet caramel, candy-fruity, orange and tropical fruit, hard candy. Taste is medium- sweet caramel malt, hard fruity candy, oranges. Low bitterness. Light bodied, thin, moderate carbonation. Meh, I guess it took a beating on route from the brewery to Croatia...

2.6My Bottom Line:
Poorly-defined sugary cereals dominate this underhopped Pale Ale, yielding a rather boring pint.
Further Personal Perceptions:
-A ring of foam surrounds the cloudy beige.
-Drinkability could be higher; this is sweetish for the style.
-In a blind tasting, I would not have billed this as a Pale Ale. The hops are that shy...
-There is little flavor nuance to speak of in here.
On tap at Acme Oyster Bar, New Orleans.
3.2Cask. Hazy dark orange with small foamy white head, grassy hops aroma, low carbonation, slightly sweet hoppy taste, thin body, abrupt finish. Quite smooth but a bit weak.
3.712 oz bottle poured. Listed as Abita Restoration Pale, 5.2%, like the collaboration beer was. Pours a cloudy copper color with a thick foam head. Bottle a couple weeks after is best by date. Sweet tropical orange fruit aroma. Creamy body. Flavor is really hoppy throughout, and tropical. Some tangerine. Tasty hop forward finish. Tasty pale. Good beer here.
3.4Bottle from Appellation Wines.
Appearance - golden with a proportionate head.
Nose - light biscuit and toffee. Some citrus.
Taste - more of the same. Decent biscuit crunch.
Palate - light to medium bodied with a creamy yet crunchy texture and a long dry finish.
Overall - a decent pale. Good malt structure.
3.5355ml bottle from Appellation Wines, Dalry. Pours clear golden with a thick white head. Aromas of lime peel and resinous hops. Taste is lime, chalky minerals, bitter, resinous. Oily texture, thin on the finish.
3.0Bottle, 355 ml at O’hara, Zagreb. Shared with JFK10000. Pours yellow, small white head. Toasted malty, fruity, caramel. Light hoppiness, very drinkable.
3.0Thanks kajzer for sharing this with us! At Pivoteka. Slightly misty orange/amber body with a thick white head. Malt-driven aroma, orange rock candy. Taste... light, nice orange rock candy, no bitterness and almost no aftertaste. Oof. Not sure how it is fresh, but I guess this one has taken a blow from the travel. Still proved to be better than the other Abitas I’ve had that day.
3.2355ml bottle. Barely clear, golden colour with small to average, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Perfumed, herbal and floral, hoppy aroma, biscuity, pale malty background, some lemon biscuit. Taste is crisp hoppy, slighty grassy, floral, some lemon, a minimally perfumed touch of bath salt. Nicely hopped, quite OK.
3.3Poured from 12 ounce bottle labeled "Abita Restoration Pale Ale" bought as part of an Abita variety 12 pack from Jeff’s Marathon, tasted on April 5, 2015, Slightly hazy golden hue, interesting orange/other citrus/hoppy nose, taste pretty much like the aroma. Not the biggest beer around but a nice, sessionable brew.
3.2355ml bottle as Restoration pale ale (ABV 5.2%). Hazy orange pour with an ample white head. Nose and taste of biscuity sweet malts with citrusy and piney hops. Finishes mildly dry and bitter with a medium body and carbonation. Less resinous than Sierra Nevada pale ale.
2.5Tap @Buns Burger, San Juan. Hazy orange color, good creamy off-white head. Herbal, grassy hoppy aroma. Light-bodied. Grassy, hoppyness with light fruityness. Short finish. Ok with food, otherwise boring and watery.
2.9Bottled 355ml. -at O’Haras Zagreb as Abita Restoration Ale. Pale golden coloured, small white head, whiff of oranges in the nose. Toasted malt, quite fruity, caramel and grassy with hoppy fruity notes in the finish. Pretty average brew.
2.6Very light, smooth, crips. A fairly regular beer which is on the lighter side. Seems to be pretty typical of Abita.
2.6Great nose and that's about it for me. Lacks punch and length on the palate. Not unenjoyable but unremarkable for this reviewer.
3.0Found in a bottle shop in Manila, Philippines. At least its hoppy compared to the local water. I’d probably find this rather unremarkable in the states but here hoppy beers are hard to find so it got a few bonus points based on being available in Southeast Asia. Cascade hops but not much else. No real malt presence. Hops nose to finish. Decent.
2.6Not good, not horrible, just sorta whatever. An aroma of lemon, wheat, light citrus. Flavor is a bit metallic with crisp malts. Soft carbonation, semi-creamy head, gold in color.
2.0Pours golden with minimal head and carbonation. There was little to no bouquet on this drop with very minimal hop bitterness. Got a few citrusy flavours and a slight bitter finish but wasn't anything too captivating!
3.412 oz. bottle from Cash Wise in Watford. Appearance: finger white head, golden yellow, clear, good lacing, head does not last. Aroma: citrus and resiny hops, caramel, fruity notes. Palate: light body, average carbonation, bitter and dry finish, thin middle, with sticky finish for texture. Taste: sweet fruit and light caramel into good resiny bitter finish. Overall, unique palate, not necessarily great taste, but balance is good, enjoyable, hoppy for a blond, but bottle says pale ale so I feel it is a good fit. Lovely aroma
2.4pours pale gold showing minimal head, there is a faint aroma of citrus hops. a little sweetness and bitterness on the tongue but almost has a watered down taste. Light bodied, little carbonation with an abrupt slightly bitter finish. overall at 5.2% it is definitely a session beer and would go down easy on a hot summer day but would not be my first choice.
3.4355 ml bottle. Clear golden with white head. Smell is hoppy grass and floral. Taste is caramel malty with fruit, citrus and floral. Semi sweet with low bitterness and low carbonation.
2.3Decent beer but not exciting. Pale malt and rice aroma. Faint. Dirty golden color with a thin white head. Light palate with strong carbonation. Pale and grassy malt flavors with a slight hops bitterness on the finish. Decent summer beer but not a first choice.
2.9Bottled as Restoration Ale. It’s ok but pale ale’s don’t travel too well from America to Australia. Probably better fresh.
2.412 oz bottle. Orange is color with a small off-white head. Aroma is of caramel, grass, and sweet herbs. Taste is of caramel, toast, and herbs.
3.1Bottle. The look is clear, white colored head, and golden in color. The smell is grassy, resin, caramel, blah, and egh. The taste is hops, resin, trees, leaves, and ok.
