It may sound nuts, but most ales with nutty flavors or aromas are made without any real nuts. Abita Pecan Harvest Ale is made with real Louisiana pecans. The natural oils from the nuts give the ale a light pecan finish and aroma. It’s wonderful paired up with both red meats and seafood - and no suprise it’s great with nuts too. Abita Pecan Harvest Ale, crack one open for yourself today.

2.7Ok so it good but is not a beer that blows you away in anyway but it does have a cool nut flavor. Pour is chestnut in color with a small white head. Aroma very lite but pleasant and nutty. A lite body easy drinker that has little to no hop presence but it does have nuts lol.
3.0Didn't find pecans in this beer, maybe slight notes in aroma . However, not bad ale. Caramel sweetness in taste isn't annoying. Good , though nothing special.
2.9Bottle. Pours a orangish copper color. Aroma and taste are a little nutty and brown sugar.
2.812 oz. bottle from build your own six pack. Pours Amber, with a thin head. Medium body, with nutty flavor.
3.4Pours a clear dark orange with a foamy khaki head that settles to an oily film on top of the beer. Small streaks of lace form around the glass on the drink down, some sediment at the bottom. Smell is of toasted malt, toasted nuts, and some slight caramel aromas. Taste is much the same but there is a mild burnt bitterness with each sip. This beer has a good level of carbonation with a crisp mouthfeel. Overall better than expected.
3.5sweet smooth pecan taste and this is a great beer. Fruity and full with wonderful rich smell and taste.
1.7Deep reddish brown pout with a lingering head. Smells hoppy and toasted. I don’t know how to describe this. It’s like it’s trying too hard. I’m a craft beer damn it! You love me! I’ve got fucking nuts, real nuts in me!
Just doesn’t do it for me.
3.4I’m not really getting much pecan out of this...for an amber, it’s pretty solid. The aroma not much to write about; however, some light caramel flavors and slightly chew malt notes make up the taste profile. Finish is pretty clean with no flaws. No over the top by any means, but nothing to seek out either...
3.1This smells a lot like pumpkin. The taste of the malt is very bready with a certain smooth nuttiness on the finish. The beer is not very bitter at all and is reminiscent of a 90-shilling ale or a very light porter. It is the best brew I’ve tasted from Abita.
2.912oz bottle from Lucky’s Market: Copper orange pour with beige head. Aroma is grain, little nutty. Tastes are brown sugar, caramel, toffee, bread. Don’t get much nutty in the taste.
3.7Poured from a 12 OZ bottle into a pint glass.
Aroma is a faint pecan smell mixed with hops.
The appearance is a light brown color with a thin head.
The flavor is a slight nut flavor with a malt and hop background
The palate is a light bodied beer with average carbonation
Overall, this is not a bad beer at all. it is my fifth Abita beer I have had and it is second to Andygator in my opinion.
3.4Bottle from a lame mystery 12 pack. My mom liked this more than i did. Average for the style with a nutty finish
2.8Had this on tap in Baton Rouge. Delicious with my seafood dinner, but on its own was underwhelming. Nutty and malty but not much really to it. A little watery.
2.9Tap. Pours a transparent amber with a thin layer of off white head. Aroma and taste of malts and a hint of nuts.
2.8Pretty good, not my favorite. No flavor overload and pretty smooth. Easy to drink, would drink again.
3.6Pours a crystal-clear reddish amber with a tan head. The aroma is bright slightly floral but with a distinct passionfruit or berry note. The taste is very much forward sweet through out with some underlying subtle bitterness coming through at the end just to give it a little bit of an offset the nuttiness comes through although subtle. very drinkable
2.8Very reminiscent of some of the European chestnut ales. Slightly nutty aroma, some brown sugar. Taste is flat and dry, mildly sweet.. Dull appearance, flat finish.
2.9Good color and nice nutty character. it is unique for sure but nothing to make it truly stand out from the nut brown category. However a success for Abita.
2.4Appearance: this beer pours with a huge beige head that takes a while to pour down, the beer is a nice amber color that is really clear
Aroma: faint caramel, possibly some pecan,
Taste: very light maltiness, kind of bland, pecans are faint but noticeable on the finish, some bitterness on the finish
Palate: slight bitter aftertaste, soft carbonation, light mouthfeel
Overall: kind of a bland beer, nothing bad about it but leaves you wanting more flavor, looks really good in the glass though
3.012 ounce bottle. Bright amber orange color. Large rocky beige head. Rich toasted malt nose with subtle pecan and caramel notes. Soft caramel malt flavor. More toasted nut flavor, though quite subtle. Mid taste is tangy and slightly bready. Buttery malt finish with some grassy hops.
3.0Clear Amber color. Some nuttiest in aroma and taste, but mostly a pretty bland Amber ale.
2.8Aroma: intense bread malts. Appearance: clear dark brown, medium, creamy, beige head. Taste: light bitter Palate: very malty, bread and cereals. Overall: missing the pecan. Pint at Big Brew, Morristown.
2.9Clear amber with a medium off-white head, no lacing. A little nuttiness to the aroma. The flavor is sweet with only a slight hint of pecan. a little thin and light.
2.7Bottle from GE. Pours copper brown with rimming white head. Butter and nutty nose. Flavor is caramel and nutty, all muted with no hops na d some sweetness. Meh.
3.0Clear amber pour, brief tan head. Nose is caramel malt. Somewhat sweet. Middle is mild caramel malt with pecan hints. Finish dries somewhat, revealing a little more nut flavor.
4.5Light. Flavorful, but mild with a progressive robust nutty aftertaste. Lower calories is a plus.
3.3Aroma: Deep notes of barley, yeast and hay.
Appearance: a dark amber with an almond head
Taste: A nice slightly dry ale as first at sharply turns in to a very sweet finish that is a lot like pecan pie.
Palate: Slightly thick with fairly vibrant carbonation.
Overall: While not fantastic by any traditional sense this beer may come off as a gimmick, but if it is then it is gimmick done right. The odd swing from slightly dry s sweet may put off quite a few but it holds a nice maple note all the way through and wins points for originality in my book.
3.4Pour form a 12oz bottle. Clear deep reddish brown with creamy tan head. Modest aroma with some caramel and nutty overtones. I was surprised at how full flavored it is - big sweet caramel maltiness starts the swallow, stays sweet till the end, an earthy nuttiness emerges about halfway through and the finish is earth and a little sour / bitter. The caramel and pecan tastes give this an almost candy like quality. Sweet, malty, nutty, I would have pegged it as a brown ale but I guess styles like "amber" and "brown" are fairly arbitrary anyhow. Commendable!
2.8"29th percentile overall going into this seems low, but i guessi can see it. i feel bad giving this a mediocre score, as there are aspects i like that are above average, but other below average aspects (like the overprickly watery feel) bring it down. Too bad. I like the roasty pecan flavor and aroma especially. Semi sweet. Not much follow thorugh but pleasant enough
2.0Abita Pecan Harvest Ale looks great in the glass. Wonderful amber color. Aroma leaves quite a bit to be desired. Taste is a miss. A bit rougher on the front end and only a little better on the finish.
