Ace Pear Cider

Ace Pear Cider

Ace Pear is made from a base of 100% pure, local apple juice. Pear essence is added to give the cider its distinctive pear taste; a taste so fresh and natural it is already proving as popular as its more traditional apple counterpart.

2.1 Bottle. It poured a clear pale yellow color with no head. It has mild carbonation. The aroma is sweet jolly rancher green apple with some light peach notes in the taste. The sweetness overwhelms in the end.
1.1 Way too sweet. I really can’t detect a pear taste to it at all. Instead it has more of an artificial tart apple flavor that reminds me so much of Jolly Rancher Sour Apple candy, but MUCH sweeter. Woodchuck makes a better Pear.
3.9 Poured from a 12 OZ bottle into a pint glass. The appearance is crystal clear with lots of carbonation. The aroma was all pear and the taste was nice but a bit sour.
3.0 12oz bottle. Clear light yellow pour. Slight tart pear aroma. Taste is pretty tame, not much going on. Decent and drinkable.
3.3 GNBF bottle. Poured clear, light golden. Aroma was pears. Taste was sweet, pear juice, apple.
4.4 Bottle/Fest. A- Pears, peaches, vanilla. A-Pale clear color, clear liquid, no head. T- Vanilla, pears. P- Light body, average texture, average carbonation, sweet finish. O- Not gonna even hide it. I loved this. I really like Perrys and this was no exception. Right amount of sweetness and a hint of vanilla. Super tasty.
2.5 Aroma is fresh, mixture of apples and light pear. Very clear, pale yellow. On the sweet side, goes down smooth. Sweetness can be overpowering to the overall taste.
3.4 Sample at Studio 35 on 4/17/16. Clear blanc pour with no head. Aroma of sweet pear. Sweet pear flavor with a tart apple finish.
2.6 Clear, no foam, pear aroma and taste. OK, now I got this style, but it is not appealing. (Houston 201605)
3.9 Nice overall flavor for a cider without a being too applie. Tasted by the Cannery Row Beer Club.
3.2 The aroma ia all about pears The appearance of this cider is a clear light yellow with no head. The taste is of artificial pear, kinda reminded me of a candy i used to get when i young. A light body, a thin and slick texture, and average carbonation. Overall not bad, but i wouldnt by a sixer for myself.
3.8 Smell is green apples. Taste is sweet pear/apple cider going down with a bit of green apple bitterness in the medium length aftertaste. It is made from an apple juice base, so the apple flavor is a lot more prominent than the addition of the "pear essence". Low carbonation and very smooth going down. Incredibly easy to drink.
3.2 Crisp clean flavor. The pear flavoring is not overpowering or hidden behind a song apple tastke. Overall a decent pear cider.
2.3 Has minimal head and a soft pear aroma, not too sugary but not sophisticated either. The pear comes out decent on this one with a bit of a dry finish. Kind of a below average perry if we’re comparing it to those being made in Europe.
2.9 Pear tasting that is very fresh, Light looking and smooth. Little head. Its a little sweet and not one of my favorites
1.6 [2/16/15] Draught at Cameron’s Inn in Half Moon Bay. Clear pale yellow. Aroma of pear candy, watermelon bubblegum and a cucumber touch. Very sweet flavor, candy-ish, with fruit candies. Light-bodied. Bad.
1.9 12oz to snifter. Pours a pale yellowish gold, with a white head that fades immediately. Aroma is sweet apples and unripe pear. Taste is sweet apple. I kinda maybe sorta taste pear.
3.0 White/pale yellow pour with no head. Aroma is pear/bubblegum. Taste is pear. Mild pear flavor. mild but good.
4.1 Pour: light golden color - very clear. virtually no head at all. Smell: apple, pear, bubblegum and alcohol. Taste: pear, apple, bubblegum, sugar & alcohol. sweet, semi-dry finish. Better than I expected, 4 sure! a solid B cider
2.6 decent Perry...they all taste like white wine to me....this one is drinkable but not one to search out.
2.9 strong fruity, pear, bubblegum aroma. golden and clear with no head. strong crisp apple flavor
1.9 Aromas and flavors of pear, strawberry candy, watermelon. Pale yellow-gold. Quite sweet.
3.2 "ever so slightly better than the dry version, if only because it hsa a bit more flavor and tastes a tiny bit "fresher". otherwise the same. just ok...not really a beer...more for when you don’t want a beer. 2012-big time re-rate! had head to head with Spire, with this being a CLEAR winner. lighter in color, the fruit flavors and buttery softness popped in yo mouth. don’t know if the recipe changed, but this was damn good."
3.2 From a 22 oz. bottle, poured into a wine glass. Light golden pour with visible bubbles, reminds me of sparkling white wine. Aroma of green apple and pear. Actually has a nice flavor, good balance of sweet and tart. This is refreshing and easy to drink, and a bargain price, $3 at Trader Joe’s. Would get this again.
2.6 Reviewed from notes. This was poured into a wine glass. The appearance had a glossed over orange yet somewhat clear in color. A fair amount of carbonated bubbles that were seen rising. There was no head. The smell was like their apple cider but with a light pear to it. The taste was basically the same as the nose. On the palate, this one sat about a light on the body with a fairly decent sessionability to some but I’m looking at this not so much so. Overall, uh...just another cider to me.
2.9 Bottle sample from backlog notes. Pours a clear straw golden color with no head. The aroma and flavor have apple cider with a splash of pear. No complexity. Is a bit more dry than I expected.
2.5 Not much to say about this. Tastes like pears. Sweet as a mother f&*(*&^%.. I mean, REALLY sweet.
3.0 Bottle at home.pours Chardonnay colored with pretty nice nose of pears. Tastes of pear, tart apple, butter, Chardonnay, and a touch artificial. Slight syrupy palate. But refreshing enough as a midnight treat.
3.1 Light yellowish. Sweet sugary aroma. The taste is nice has all the lovable attributes of a hard apple cider but slightly sweeter and less tart to the finish. Very sweet not sessionable but a nicely put together cider
3.3 All the great qualities of a hard apple cider, without the tart finish. The pear permeates the nose and taste, and while it pours clear champagne color, it tastes great.
