This cross-cultural brew was first made at the request of an Irish musical group and was named "Celtic Heaven," but soon became a permanent part of the Serafijn lineup. Similar to a light Irish ale, but but with the intriguing of a spicy, almost perfumed aroma that comes not from spices but from a special Belgian yeast.

3.2OK ale. It is different than most and well brewed but not a favorite for me.
There is an interesting funky element in the taste but also something metallic I’m not too keen on. It is not sweet and still has nice caramel and rich spiciness in the flavor. The yeast offers a hint of licorice. It has a good head and pleasant carbonation.
4.6Une ale ambrée de 6,2 % abv.
Couleur ambre moyen. Clarté nette. Bulles fines partout vives.
3.821/III/14 - 33cl bottle from Willems (Grobbendonk) @ home - BB: 15/II/14 (2014-300)
Note: so, the beer has passed it’s BB-date. Apparently for this beer, that is not a bad thing! I loved it. Guess I’m a sucker for old beer. :p
Clear dark orange beer, small aery light beige head, little stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: sweet, caramel, dried fruits, bit oxidized, honey. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: sweet malts, caramel, little toast, spicy, some honey, orange peel, little sour. Aftertaste: sweet, dried fruits, bit sour, dry ending. Good balanced and complex beer.
3.4Medium white mokka head, brown clear chestnut colour, hoppy caramel some metal hints, flowery sweet lively co2 malty and liquorsie notes in the aroma, coffee bitter, in the beginning large then medium, sticky creamy texture, medium carbonation, liquorise, caramel coffee,
2.3Aroma van bloemen, snoepgoed en suiker. Redelijk kraag op bijna sherry kleur. Smaak is laffer, te veel carbonisatie.
2.3Amberkleurig, mooie witte kraag. Snoepachtige geur. Smaakt idem met vaag iets portachtigs maar als geheel weinig indrukwekkend.
3.2Aroma: Floral, malts, bitter, hint of caramel, could smell it from 20cm away Appearance: Orange, amber, clear white staying head, quite fine fizzy bubbles, medium lace Taste: Caramel, malt, big bitter in begin then it fades, hint of floral
3.0Gedronken samen met dutchdrebus, bruine heldere kleur. Witte schuimkraag. Ruikt een beetje caramel en mout. Smaakt naar mout en een beetje waterig.

3.3Bottle @ End of the year, Odense Tasting 2012. Pours hazy dark golden with a small white head. Malty caramel and bread. Medium bodied. Quite decent and tasty.
3.5Bottle (33 cl) from beerplanet. Clear copper with large off-white head. Slightly caramelly and sugary aroma with earthy notes, some bubble gum phenolics and grassy hops. Light to medium bodied, medium carbonation. Semi dry, medium bitterness.
3.6Schiuma compatta, di media persistenza. Aroma fruttato con sentori di malto, spezie e note affumicate. Gusto equilibrato, le note dolci e mielose iniziali sono bene contrapposte dal luppolo.
3.1Tasted at Zythos Bier Festival 29th April 2012 Malty, well balanced, slightly sweet, dried fruit on the palate
2.533cl bottle @ home. Clear dark copper to amber color, no head, just a small white to off-white lacing. Smell almost nothing. Taste malts and a sharp spicy bitterness. Fizzy carbonation, low to medium body.
2.5330 ml bottle a amber colored beer with a white head aroma malts spicy and hops flavor malts spicy and hops
3.1750ml from State Line. Faded amber with a decently fluffy head, nice sticky retention. Nose has some mild spice from yeast, with a good bit of bready malt. Comes across as a bit stale, and I wonder how old this bottle is. Flavors are mostly quite dry, but not in the crisp sense. It’s overall a bit on the down side.
2.0Has an interesting scent. Nothing all too special as far as flavour is concerned.
3.2from www.beerplanet.eu

3.625th May 2007
Warning! Early amateur rating! Crisp palate. Refreshing beer. Toffee and banana flavours. Long finish. Nice.
3.0750 ml. bottle. Lot 0607. Pours a medium, off white, lasting head over an initially clear amber (SRM 8) body....nose is light malts, with cereal, light yeast....taste is light fruits, pear, apple, finishing with a malty cereal, finishing medium dry....mouth feel is light, carbonation low. This is a pleasant, not particularly interesting Belgian Ale. BJCP 5/3/11/4/5
2.9Bottle from Mitra Bergen. Dark amber body with medium head. Nose is yeasty and spicy. Taste of caramel, malts and toffee. Sweet. Watery, high ABV and pretty good. But lacks an overall punch.
2.9Bottle at home. Hazy copper pour, thin creamy off-white head. Aroma of brown sugar, spices, some fruits and sweet malts. Flavor is bread, sugary sweetness, yeasty and some fruits. Slightly grainy. Creamy texture and average carbonation.
3.0Mondial de la bière Montréal 2010
Aroma sweet easy going with soft hop with aromatic side.6+
Appearance fine haze , amber look with good medium plus creamy top.3+
Flavor and Palate : medium bodied , sweet fruity front , touch of alcohol , hint of raspberry. Light alcoholic burn at finish. Decent.
2.5An unexciting, fairly mediocre Belgian. I was looking for a calm, middling beer tonight, and even that relatively low bar was not met. The beer pours a normal enough warm brown-amber color with an extremely effervescent head. The head puffs up hugely at first, filling the glass with bubbles with only a couple inches of liquid. Despite all of this initial excitement, the head actually dissipated quite quickly and left very little lacing. Mouthfeel is under-carbonated. The smell is really lacking. It’s a flat, yeasty odor with very little of the normal complexity of good Belgian yeast. The flavor is somewhat better but still odd. It’s sweet with a fair bit of caramel and bread malt flavor, but it’s not really very interesting or complex. The bitter yeasty flavor is also there in the flavor. There is a merely passing earthy Belgian note. The beer just doesn’t come together
3.4Draft @ Max’s. Dark red pour with some tan head. Fruits: apples, peach and some light pear flavor. Tartness is light and some yeast influence.
2.7Draught at TND: Aroma of light fruit and a hint of caramel. Poured amber/copper in color with a large, creamy, tan head that diminished but lasted throughout. Hazy. Very sparkling. Flavor is lightly sweet. Tastes of malt, slight toasting, slight nuts, and slight biscuit. Medium body. Lightly dry texture. Average carbonation. Malt finish. Very boring.
3.3Draught at the brewery’s pub.
Poured reddish with a small off-white-tan head. Easy toasted caramel and some malt, mild hop in the nose. Medium bodied irish ale with minimal roasted malt, toffee and toasted caramel tastes, light hop. Easy drinkable one.
