Acme California Pale Ale

Acme California Pale Ale

ACME CALIFORNIA PALE ALE is a smooth, clean ale with faint citrus and honey flavor notes and a dry finish. It is brewed with Yakima Valley hops and the finest American two-row malt, but with a measure of British specialty malt for depth. This easy drinking pale ale is a "session beer" which will be welcomed at neighborhood taverns and restaurants (and refrigerators) throughout the west.

3.4 Alaranjada, pouca espuma, não consistente no copo. Aroma caramelado, amadeirado, com leves notas cítricas ao fundo. Paladar leve/médio do dulçor, amargor imperceptível. Corpo e carbonação leve. Aftertaste equilibrado, drinkability boa. Deixa um sabor delicado e prazeiroso no paladar.
3.1 bottle @ Party Town / Florence KY --- Clear medium orange amber with lots of rising bubbles, solid one finger white head, light streaks of lace. Taste is carbonated caramel malt that moves without effort through the palate to a finish with only a modicum of hops. A simple brew, but it is balanced and drinkable.
2.5 ペールエール 香りよわい、ぼんやりとした甘さ はっきりしない苦味 まとまらない
2.0 Overall: Surprisingly dull. Hay, slightly soapy. Note: Bottle 355 ml at a De Klomp tasting. Reviewed 2015-03-07.
3.6 Flaska från craftbeer/galatea. Smak och doft av humle, malt, karamell, honung, bröd med toner av marsipan. God sötma, fina malttoner, fruktig, jämn och fin, lätt beska.
2.6 Bottle from favourite beer, Cheltenham. Golden colour with a shite head. Aroma is surprisingly malty, and less hoppy than I expected. Taste is a touch sweet.
3.6 Poured from a 12 oz bottle into a tumbler on 04.17.14. A: Somewhat opaque red/orange. No head with aggressive pour. S: Spices, sweet malt, grape. T: Grape, caramel dominate. Tangy citrus is more subtle. M: Crisp. It felt very carbonated. O: The taste was great. Sweet grape came on first, followed by caramel, and then a tangy citrus finish lingered. I loved it.
2.5 355ml bottle. Bland malt, orange and pine, earthy yeast with an element of dusty barnyard. Lean and watery. Meh.
3.4 BOTTLE. Hazy orange pour with little head. Sweet caramel & honey on the nose. Toffee & caramel at front end with orange & malt at the back end, watery for a pale ale. Sourced Cellarbrations @ Capel
2.8 355 ml bottle. Dark golden with big white head. Aroma caramel, toffee, malt and mild earthy hop notes. Taste is similar, light and fresh, caramel and malt. A bit too sweet for me
2.6 355ml bottle. Clear, orangey golden colour with small, frothy, diminishing, white head. Biscuity, malty aroma with cautious honey touch, vegy, yeasty overtones, some orange zest. Taste is minimally sweet fruity, hints of orange and mandarine, light body, slightly watery. Loveless, anaemic, refutes any positive prejudice about California (concerning beer, of course, not e.g. the weather).
3.0 From bottle. Pours a honey-color, a bit hazy with a pretty good-sized head that dissipates and leaves just a bit of lacing on the glass. Aroma is malty and faintly citrus. Taste is also malty, citrus, slight bitterness. Medium mouthfeel. Light bitter finish.
2.7 Pure malt garbage. No hoppy flavor and is just a terrible tasting beer. Pours light orange in color. Smells malty. Had at Carolina ale house on Charlotte.
2.4 14.11.2014, 0,35l bottle @ home: Small bubbly mediumlasting head. Aroma is mild and slightly sweet, flowers, caramel malts, moss, old leafs, hay, light malts, wet hops, grass. Taste is mild grassy, leafs, wet grass, light malts, alcohol, moss, minerals, hay, weeds. Medium bitterness, watery mouthfeel. Boring.
3.1 355ml bottle from Tasty Life, Xiamen. Pours golden amber with a thin white head. Metallic malt and pine aroma. Bitter finish.
2.9 The aroma is light citrus, tangerines and a hint of fresh leaves. The taste is classic American Pale Ale, but maybe a bit on the lower side of everything? A little biscuity, slightly toasted malts with mild pine and vague lemon peels. A pretty dry aftertaste. It’s refreshing, but not the coolest one around.
3.2 Bottle. StarmoreBoss, Sheffield. Clear gold. Thick, lasting, white head. Pale, lager malt aroma. A little fruit salad. Taste is light sweet. Hint of bitter. Clean, fresh palate. Finishes a little dry. Sweet close. Not the tastiest beer, but quite refreshing, and easy drinking.
2.5 "a tiny bit better than others in the acme line, but still a slightly below average pale ale. not enough balance in the beer, the hops are ok, but they have no other presence to play off of."
3.0 On tap. Hazy amber with white head. Smell is caramel and grass. Taste is caramel, fruit and grass. Semi sweet with low bitterness and low carbonation.
3.4 Dark amber, ephemeral foam. Smells faintly of flowers, bread and american hops. Tastes surprisingly sweet and feels equally surprisingly vinous; tastes of toffee, artificial-like sweeteners, rock candy and a bit of wood. The alcohol is certainly also present, and becomes overdominating the aftertaste. Nevertheless an enjoyable beer.
2.9 Bottle. Clear golden pour, small offwhite head. Very subtle nose, a little malty. Crisp malty taste, a little sweet, roasted notes. Aveage carbonation, slick texture, medium body.
2.5 Bottle. Pours a hazy orangish gold with a white head that dissipates slowly to the edges. Aroma has a lot of grain and biscuit with just a hint of grass underlying. Flavor begins thin but grows to have notes of sweet grain, biscuit and a touch of grass.
2.7 Mørk gylden med lavt skum. Aroma av sitrus, gress og søt malt. Intetsigende smak. Samme som i aromaen. Tynn/medium konsistens.
3.4 I had this at Global Brew. Pours orangish with a off white head. Taste sweet, grassy, caramel. I thought this was ok. I could drink this again.
3.2 Not sure what keeps happening to my older reviews, but this is a good one...better than their IPA actually.
2.8 Bottles from Rehills, Newcastle and Safeway, Fisherman’s Wharf, San Francisco. Dark golden coloured with a sweet toffee and gentle orange flavour followed by a light grassy and sugary almond-like finish. This is more a Steam Beer than a Pale Ale.
2.9 Rated based on notes taken 17 Jul 2011 -- Nice Clean palate, Nothing exceptional though. As it warmed the caramel flavors started shining through.
1.8 5th August 2014 Bright clear gold beer, small pale cream colour head. Palate is light dry and criisp. Lagerish pale malts. Virtually no hops here. Poor.
3.2 Draft at Churchkey. A pretty middle-of-the-road pale ale. Not bad, just not too exciting.
