Adnams Explorer (Bottle)

Adnams Explorer captures the spirit of discovery by blending Chinook and Columbus hops with the New World. The citrus attack will burst on your palate. Fantastic served chilled and the fruity hoppiness of the beer means that it goes well with cleanly flavoured foods. Try it with salmon, vegetarian options and with summer salads. (Contains barley). Silver medal winner at the 2015 Great British Beer Festival.

3.2 500ml bottle. Clear amber color. Medium size, off-white bubbly head, stays. Perfume, caramel, wet grass and grainy in aroma. Perfume, sweet, fruity, some citrus and caramel in taste. Citrus, caramel and grainy in aftertaste. Medium carbonation. Feels bit old, but still drinkable brew.
3.3 Bottle from Beers of Europe. Appearance - golden amber with a nice fluffy head. Nose - light toffee, pine and biscuits. Taste - toffee and biscuits. Palate - light bodied with a creamy texture and a long dry finish. Overall - decent.
3.0 Bottle : 500 ml, Price : 1,19 eur Skaidri šviesiai ruda spalva. skonis: nieko ypatingo, gerti galima..
2.5 Quite boring for bitter. Low herbal naphthalene, some grass, kinda vegies. Ligth sweetness with moderate to light bitterness. Nothing to repeat
3.1 500ml bottle from Ken Warne, Darlington. Golden amber colour with a white foam head leaving some lacing and aroma of orangey citrus hop aroma. Taste is malt, caramel, toffee, orange citric, floral hop with resiny and tangy bitterness. Slightly oily mouthfeel, medium bodied, soft carbonation, dry lingering bitter finish. Quite OK.
3.7 bottle @ Liquor Barn / Lexington KY --- Aroma of malt and light caramel. Cloudy medium amber, rocky off-white head that stays at one-finger, streaks of lace. Taste is malt and caramel that grows into mild fizz followed closely by light hops. The hops yield to semi-sweet caramel in a medium finish. Very well balanced, light in the belly, and satisfying. This one I could enjoy every day. I’ll search for it in the future.
3.6 Served in pint glass from a 500ml bottle. Pours a slightly hazy golden colour with a big white head, leaving plenty of lacing in the glass. Aroma is slightly fruity, with notes of grass and a mild citrus. Taste is a well balanced combination of citrus hops and roasted malts. Medium body with lively carbonation. Very easy to drink, mild and pleasant. A nice thirst quencher!
3.3 Bottle from Booths, Penwortham. Pours clear amber with a short-lived thin white head. Aromas of cooked oranges, apricots. Taste is light sweet, more orange, light honey. Slightly sticky finish .
3.2 Light gold with a white rim. Aroma is honeyish malt with some herbal hops. Flavor is sweet maltiness with some fruity esthers and a touch of flowery hops. Medium to light palate. Not memorable, but not bad for what it is.
2.8 Bottle 50cl, a clear copper beer with good head. Nose is light on exotic fruits, aroma is on hop resin, apricot, mirabelle notes, grassy hops, watery body, medium bitterness, light honey, peach finish.
3.1 Bottle 500 ml from Amstein - St-Légier (CH). Golden-amber, with a short off-white foam, flegmatic crackling. Aromas of malt, citrus hop, toffee, slight roasted. The mouth is creamy, a bit sticky, biscuity malt with a nice bitterness of citrus, pine resin, green fruits and spiceds. Lasting bitterness.
1.3 Very poor, misleading with the "new world hops" tag, no world hops would be more apt. Taste is extremely bland, slightly bitter and quite fizzy. Kind of like the larger I used to drink before I found great real ales.
3.3 bottle from Aldi - pours amber with white heads. Aroma - citrus/hay; Taste - citrus, grapefruit, touch of caramel. Very likeable
3.7 Hazy gold with a rich white foam. Rich malty aroma. Full but balanced between tje malty sweetnes and the hoppy bitterness with notes of citrus. Syropy texture with mild carbonation.
2.8 Bottle. Blond with a frothy off white head. Metallic citrus aroma. The taste is soapy citrus with a little grapefruit and spice. Slightly syrupy texture. OK.
3.0 Another beer I’m kind of on the fence about, what it a good refreshing summery ale or was it blandish. I’m going to give this one the benefit of the doubt as well. Serving: Bottle
3.1 Bottle from Aldi, Carrick-on-Shannon [240615] Amber, clear, good fluffy white head Aroma of soft citrus zest, touch of lemon and grapefruit, slight earthy malt, overall soft nose Taste of caramel, soft citrus zest, hint of earthy bitter hops, mellow hops in this, some biscuit malts Palate - Soft carb, medium body, slightly oily. Finish is a bit dry, soft sweet malt, mellow citrus zest, clean, easy palate Overall - Quite quaffable but a tad dull - still a bit better than average supermarket beer
2.6 Golden colored beer with rather small head. Hoppy aroma, some herbs or grass. Low or medium bitterness. Moderate body. Very average beer.
3.0 Pours nice grapefruit and citrusy decent enough pint quite hoppy a little like a golden ale would be nicer on cask.
3.0 Bottle from Seoul plaza, Bratislava. Pours golden color, white head. Aroma is citrusy, malty. Taste is medium bitter, lightly sweet, malty, grapefruit, lemon.
2.6 Bottle from Seoul plaza, Bratislava. Golden color with medium white head. Malty aroma with yeast, some fruits, light citrus hops, stale notes. Light hoppy bitter taste with malty backbone, light fruity notes. medium long light hoppy bitter finish. Average beer, I liked draft version much more.
4.0 Bready and mild orange aroma. A reserved half inch head that fades to steady film. Body is a hazy orange with a hint of gold. Mild bitterness. Light orange taste with a mild breadiness for some thickness.Bubbly carbonation. In contrast it has a light dry finish.
2.5 Bottle from Seoul Plaza. Aroma lemony, citrusy, however also some stale flavour, which I associate with green bottles and would describe as light-struck, but might just come from heavy pasteurisation since it is a brown bottle. Clear golden colour and quickly disappearing head. The taste goes in the established direction, showing some promising hoppy flavours, but killing it in a few moments with the stale flavour. Average beer, really.
3.0 Это пиво вкусное. я, конечно, рекомендую его всем, что любит хорошую Craft пива!
3.4 A golden orange coloured beer with a frothy white head. A light citrusy hop aroma, elements of lemon, grapefruit and orange plus a background hint of biscuity malt. Dry mouthfeel. A strong bitter tasting beer with citrusy peel, again, lemon, grapefruit and Seville orange. This is bolstered by an underlying biscuity malt flavour, a tad sweeter that balances the flavour into a lingering finish.
3.3 Light oakwood tan, good bowling pin bottle, clean label. Liked the aroma. Yeast and malt actually trump the west coast hops, caramel notes come through. Flavor was a little oxidized. Not fruity, moderately bitter, fairly dry. Decent session fare, missing some hallmarks I look for in a Brit ESB. Beer Stop.
2.9 500ml bottle into a nonic. Pours a hazy dark gold with a fluffy one finger white head. Very fine, soft carbonation bubbles that remind me almost of a nitro pour. Good lacing and retention. Aroma is very yeasty with that classic British toffee and hay. Some touches of lemon. Nothing particularly outstanding, though. The flavor has delicate bread and wet hay with notes of toffee. A little bit of tartness that seems out of place. A touch of lemon and apple. Very light bitterness but not enough to clean everything up. Finishes a bit sweet. Overall, an ok beer but I was expecting better. Not sure the age on this bottle but I imagine this beer is much better from the cask.
3.0 1.9 fl oz bottle pours hazy orange showing light sediment and plenty carbonation. Aroma is a mix of citrus/grapefruit hops and a champagne/cider like aroma from the yeast. Taste follows, light on tongue with plenty carbonation. Light body and crisp carbonation almost like a cider, light fruity hop characteristics and no malt. Leaves your palate imparting no memory of the experience, quite boring.
