1.6 Bottle. Clear brown pour, small tan head. Taste is very mild, slightly spicy. Not much nose. Medium body, very soft carbonation.
3.4 Copenhagen 25/9 2018. 33l bottle from Vinbørsen. Rider in uniform galloping away on the label. Tag line is "An Unashamedly Strong Winter Warmer". Very British. Pours clear dark brown with a red hue and a small off-white head. Settles as flimsy thin layer of foam unable to cover the surface of the beer. No lacing. Aroma is sweet and metallic and not especially intense. Sweet lightly roasted malts, brown sugar, fermented dark fruit. Strong undercurrent of alcohol. Light carbonation. Medium thick, oily, creamy texture. Slightly sticky. Flavor is rather sweet followed by moderate bitterness. Aftertaste is sweet. Lingers for quite a while. Lives up to the tagline without being unpleasantly boozy.

3.6 Horrific name but I begrudgingly admit it's a good beer. The texture is quite thin but it's smooth and the flavours of dried fruit and the smokeyness from the cask gives this a well balanced taste with the hints of winter spices giving it its seasonal feel.

3.5 [Copenhagen 2017] Draft sample @ SKAAL. Dark ruby brown amber, little tanned head. Nose is thick DE fish guts, yeast, soap BE cough syrup, Christmas syrup,… Taste is cloying liquorice, caramel, syrup but also some spices, clove that make it a bit more interesting. Not bad for what it is but a bit too thick BE, DE cough syrup for me.
3.9 Pint at wetherspoons. A very nice barley wine. Strong alcohol taste but not too overpowering. Sweet, syrup with a sort of smoked/ash after taste. Very dark pint with ruby hue. Ideal winter warmer. 1 of the best strong ales I have had in a while and at £1.95 a pint at my local spoons today I might just have a few.
