Ægir Dag Sitrus Pale Ale

Ægir Dag Sitrus Pale Ale

Ægir Dag Sitrus Pale ale is a crisp and hoppy pale ale. Brewed with a good amount of orange peel and American hops, making for a fruity pale ale which is fresh and lively and pairs well when served with cheese or spicy dishes.

3.6 Can from M&S. Pours clear light amber with a slightly off white head. Aroma of mandarin, lychee, lemon peel and a little candy sugar. Taste of watery bitter tangerine, lemon,a little toast & caramel, good biscuit & passionfruit. Light bodied, slightly oily mouthfeel with good carbonation. The finish is bitter and dry with some more tangerine, lemon, biscuit & passionfruit. A good refresher!
3.0 330 ml can, bb 28/08/2019. Dark amber/red, slightly hazy. Nose - very weak, citrus and grass. Taste - watery, citrusy. Shadow of bitter and citrus aftertaste.
3.2 33cl can from Pastures Discount Foods. Medium creamy white head. Very hazy golden pour. Light citrus bitterness.
3.6 16-08-2018; can; at home (bought somewhere in Flåm, Norway). The looks of the beer are nice. It looks like a proper Session IPA or IPA should look like. The color is a nice orange. The beer has a slight haziness, but it isn't completely hazy. On top of the beer a rather thick layer of offwhite rough foam is formed. Foam retention is low. Only a thin drape is left on the beer. Pretty nice. The smell of the beer is nice. There are some nice malty aromas, giving quite a grainy nose. Hops are floral and have a slight citrus note. There are also some nice earthy notes. Also a specific fruity note is there...a bit like berry. Can't clearly define it, but it is nice and refreshing. The taste of the beer is nice. Nice sweet malts and fruity notes, crisp bitter hops and a nice slightly acidic note of citrus and some yeast touches. The beer is well balanced and very refreshing. Nicely done. The palate of the beer is nice. Medium body, smooth, medium-high carbonation and very fresh. The finish has some fresh fruity notes and also a nice bitter hop bite. All in all, it is a very nice beer. I like it. Good refreshment.
3.5 Blik @ Nes Pä Hedmarken. Proef citrus mooi mooie gemiddelde bitter.
3.1 0,33 l can BB 31. Juli 2018 Lots of foam. amber, hazy, rocky head, tan foam, citrus, spruce, light sweetness, lightly bitter, light body, thin feel, slick feel, average carbonation,
3.3 (Draught at Craft & Draft, Amsterdam, 23 Feb 2018) Amber colour with foamy, off-white head. Malty, fruity nose with notes of crisp-bread, orange peel, apricots and a touch of resin. Malty taste with crisp-bread, orange peel, grass and a fresh, balanced, citric bitterness in the finish. Medium body, quite dry. Tasty, well balanced and refreshing. Quite nice.
2.6 Molt més xulo l'envàs (llauna amb bon disseny) que el liquid de l'interior.
3.2 strong carbonation large bubbly head well cratered misty amber pour aromas grapefruit floral orange rich yeast the flavours orange mild bitter sweet barley lemon grapefruit mildly crisp not too bad on the taste buds slightly weak but a good drink for a hot afternoon
3.5 Can. Amber coloured beer with a very strong head. The aroma is citrusy, bitter, and yeasty. The flavour is gently roasted with a good degree of bitterness, with citrus and yeastiness. Overall a nice IPA.
2.9 Taster. Pours a clear orange gold with a white head. Aroma: mild citrus and pine notes. Not aromatic. Taste: mild citrus, pine and malt notes. Thin bodied and thin flavour. Mild bitterness. A bit dull. The can was not the freshest so I would try it again, but it was not particularly interesting.
3.5 Draft @ In De Wildeman. Clear amber color. Dense off white head, good retention. Aroma's: fruity, bitter hops. Flavor is moderate bitter, fruity. Light bodied. Bitter finish.
4.0 Kalender nr 15 2017. Spesielt øl med sitronsmak, bør drikkes avkjølt. Passer nok best som tørstedrikk eller til en dessert.
3.1 From tap at In De Wildeman, Amsterdam. Aroma is a bit grassy with bready malts, soft citrus, modest hops, and a touch of caramel. Mild bittersweet flavour, body is mild. Decent but very mild allround.
3.2 Copper colour with lasting head. Aroma and flavour have a little citrus peel. A bit light bodied.
2.7 Can. Orange color. Aroma of malt, caramel, orange and grapefruit. Taste has bitter malt, orange, grapefruit and a malty finish. 2 months old and canned, but tastes a lot older. Too bad.
3.1 330ml can. Almost clear orange amber colour with a small head. Aroma is malty, citrus, pithy, caramel. Taste of overripe citrus, orange peel, malt, caramel, pith, moderate bitterness - bit too much for a session IPA though, dryish finish. Light body, oily texture.
3.2 Can from beer52. Hazy pale golden colour with a white head. Fruity aroma with a dry taste. Medium body.
3.5 Can from Beer52. Pleasant citrus and hint of pine aroma. Crisp, gentle bitterness, slight toffee, butteriness. Thin body and very easy to drink. In fact its very easy drinking indeed, it didn't last long. Not one of great depth but a great thirst quencher.

3.1 Can@home. Pours copper small white head. Nose is orange and caramel. Taste is burnt orange and caramel, not a great deal going on, everything is just a bit meh.
3.0 Can from Beer52. Orange-y amber colour, off-white head. Malty orange smell. Flavour is bitter, dry orange citrus. It’s a little bit watery, but it’s sharp and refreshing and drinkable enough.
3.5 Can from beer52 club. Pours a dark gold / amber with minimal head. Strong malty caramel flavours with subtle but satisfying citrus orange undertones. Very enjoyable and at 4% its a decent session beer too.
3.2 Clear orange, off-white lacing foam head. Light orange notes in aroma and taste. Still nice hoppy bitterness there. OK (Flam 201706)
3.1 Klar gyllen brun farge med offwhite skum. Lukter svakt av grape og sitron. Godt karbonert, medium til tynn i fylde. Lett bitter avslutning.
3.3 Attractive bronze coloured, orange flavour pale ale. Creamy head that lingers, hoppy and orange marmalade flavour. Pleasant but not spectacular. Low carbonation, nice finish that lines the mouth.
Postgusto escaso.
