3.8 Can sample @ RBBWG Mar 10h. 2018, thanks Marko. I dedicate this rating to the almighty blakc metal band Enslaved, 793 (Slaget Om Lindisfarne).
3.5 F: medium tan to tanned, not long lasting. C: deep amber, bit hazy. A: honey, caramel, herbal, bit fruity, candy. T: sweet caramel, bit herbal, toasted, light smoky tones, medium to full body, medium carbonation, good one, enjoyed, 33cl can can @ RBBWG (10/03/2018), many thanks markoijelena.
3.2 Thank you markoijelena! 330 ml. can sampled @ RBBWG VI (2018). Cool can. Dark brown amber, tanned head. Nose is cooked apple, stale unpleasant, dust, mothballs. Taste is cooked apple, chemical, dust, unpleasant mothballs, plastic, oxidized sweet brown apple,… Body is the same. Not a fan. BBF 03.04.2018. Would expect better from Ægir.
3.5 Pours bright and clear copper, with a medium off-white head, some lacing. Very malty on the nose, with caramel, toffee and light floral hops. Balanced between bitter and sweet, very malty (ale malts, caramel, toffee, biscuit), with some bitter and floral hops. Oily mouthfeel, medium body, soft carbonation, bitter finish. Enjoyable ale.
3.4 330 ml can with 360 End bought at YATA in YOHO Mall, Yuen Long. Looks: Clear amber honey colour; Less than one-quarter finger head with residual soapy off-white foam which fades in 20 seconds; Fair sticky lacing with near zero carbonation. Aroma: Fragrant rich Amber malt, with strong mustiness, strong caramel, toffee, strong meaty roastyness, phenolic, light floral, molasses, strong biscuits, light lemon and light grass. Taste: Mid to light sweet Amber malt, with moderate smoke, soot, Melanoidin, caramel, light red fruits, floral, light molasses, spices, light biscuits, lemon, medium bitter hops and grass. Body: Medium body. very slick palate. Mouth Feel: Good Amber maltyness in a fluid, slightly thick background. feels like liquid, low-sweet jelly with right touch of smoke and soots. Caramel and red fruits aren't as intense as other Scotch Ales. Fairly flowery with spices, biscuity with potent lemon to round. Interestingly good! Hoppiness: Light floral, light lemon and light grass in nose, same in taste but stronger and with spices; Bitterness is quite strong for a lasting, mid to high astringent bitter-sweet Amber malty finish. After Taste: Dry. Lemony and bitter to mouth. Comments: This is one of those non-sweet Scotch Ale where the added smokyness is subtle and mostly for taste. Its aroma is rather musty and meaty, with a nice hoppy finish. Not as rich as most sweet bomb Scotch Ales, but overall it's quite dynamic and exciting. Well worth trying!

3.3 33cl Can @ LaBIRRAtorium, Madrid, Spain. Reddish amber colour with almost no head. Aroma is roasted malt, caramel, toffee, burnt sugar. Taste is malt, caramel, toffee, syrup. Medium body, average carbonation.
3.4 On tap @ Edinburgh Beer Festival. Pretty dark amber color, mid to lo body, herbs and some whiskey on the flavor and caramel on the nose
3.2 Mild, malty aroma. Taste of bread, malt, and a little smoke. Quite typical of a red ale, but good nonetheless.
4.0 Taster EBCF. This is very nice stuff. Pours deep gold/amber, soft foamy head. Big prune and soft fruit aroma, some syrup and honey. Lovely soft, sweet and raisin taste. Really, really good.
3.3 Keg at ecbf 2017... Dark brown.. Soft toffee fruit... Light caramel toffee fruit.. Light sweet toffee
3.4 Loads of cream and butterscotch in the aroma plus some chocolate and toffee. The butterscotch is also evident in the mouth, plus plenty of grapefruit and pine from the hops. A nice beer, but a little light on the malt for a scotch ale.
3.9 Duft røg fad karamel smag sød malt karamel lidt røg fad smag kant af rosin god fylde
3.6 Dark red. Caramel and dried fruit, on a full, sweet taste with a lightly bitter finish. Medium body. Overall, a good scotch ale. Tasty but somewhat simple.
4.0 020517. Can from Bucket Boys. Yet another very good beer from this Norwegian brewery. Aromas of toffee, vanilla and caramel fill the nose with a trace of alcohol in there as well. Warms the mouth and throat with a honey like sweetness. Looks the goods in the glass with a caramel toffee colour and an oily swirl of foam across the top.
3.6 Can. Dark amber color. Sweet aroma, malt, caramel, lollipops, dried fruits, a little smoke, raisins. Taste: sweet, malt, caramel, dried fruits. Not bad.
3.8 Tap@Kompasset. Pours clear reddish brown with beige head. Aroma has malt, caramel, dried fruits, hints of smoke and quite complex. Taste is semi-sweet malty with caramel, dried fruits, a light roasted note and hints of smoke a balanced complexity. Finish is balanced sweet and complex yet lightly dry.
3.4 Can. Clear dark amber color with a reddish head. Aroma is toffee/fudge, earthy, caramel. Taste is caramel, toffee, a bit nutty-earthy, a touch of roasted/smoked malts, feels rather sirupy. Rather sticky mouthfeel. Not bad, but quite sweet. A bit too sirupy.
3.4 0,5l bottle. Fudgy and slight taste and aroma of alcohol. Flavor is quite sweet and moderate bitter. Dry and moderate bitter finish.
3.6 291116. Can at home. Pours clear deep ruby with almost no head. Aroma caramel, malts. Smooth slightly sweet taste. Nice overall balance. Not my favorite style but this works nicely. Not Bad.

3.7 Pours an amber brown color with a white head. Caramel, toffee, toast, biscuit, earthy hop and roasty malt aroma and flavors. Medium body and carbonation with a caramel and biscuit finish.
3.8 Can from the Beer Shop in Berkhamsted. Clear reddish to dark brown beer, with an off whit ehead which dissipates to nothing. Nose is caramel, toffee, roasted malt, earthy hops, fresh brown bread, maple syrup, grassy cereal chaff, chocolate. Taste is caramel, roasted malt, earthy hop, grassy. Really nice. Full flavoured, rich and balanced.
