Alameda Klickitat Pale Ale

Alameda Klickitat Pale Ale

With an appealing amber color, this brew has a perfect balance of caramel malt and spicy hop flavors. The Munich malt in this recipe lends a rich mouth feel, while generous additions of Pacific-Northwest hops complete the balance. Try a pint of Pale with the Salmon Gyros, Falafel or Alameda Dip.

3.7 ABV 5.0%. 65cl bottle from De Bierkoning, Amsterdam and poured into a snifter glass at home on 22-Oct-2016. Hazy reddish amber colour with a thick off-white head. Aroma of malt, caramel, summer fruit and pine. Light to medium body and heavily carbonated. Taste of caramel malt, melon, peach and citrus. Light fruity sweetness, and slightly tart. Medium hopped and bitter - great lacing. Pretty nice APA.
3.5 Can. Huge dense head. Nectary malts, melon, tropical fruit on nose. Light to medium body. Dry hoppy taste. Fruity. Grapefruit. Medium bitter. Decent APA. -- rated with beerbasher/winphone
3.3 Aroma: Slight aroma of malts, caramel, fruit and hops. Appearance: Turbid/opaque amber/orange beer with a slight/medium off-white/beige head. Taste/Palate: Starts medium sweet with malts, caramel and fruit; ends slightly bitter and dry with hops. Overall: This beer is rather intense and balanced, but lacks complexity. Sweet and malty with a slight fruit flavour, but that is all it has. Looks good, is decent overall but lacks anything having to do with aroma and flavour.
3.5 355 ml. can with no date at home. Hazy orange amber, big milky tanned head. Nose is sweet yoghurt yeast, strange oily yoghurt pine hop, vegetable hop & flower hop. Taste is oily, caramel toffee with odd herbal bitterness, bitter roots, nuts, creamy milky bodied, toffee. Lingering bitter roots. Passeable for sure, stand everyday beer, milky nature helps it there issome toffee & biscuit. Bitterness is a bit odd, milky character is a tad too high.

2.5 super 354ml can (?, Czechia) Huge sweet malty aroma, heavy caramel. Nice deep orange, brief head. Palate is unfortunatley both sweet and sticky, and also harshly bitter. Pretty sticky mess.

3.1 Büchse: Orangey coloured, hazy, big beaten-egg-white-like head; dry citrussy nose with piney traces, even though dry, caramel is detectable, too; dryish bitter flavour with a well hidden sweetness, barely medium bodied, a certain tartness is detectable in the dry - again - bitter and citrussy finish. Not bad, but quite one-dimensional…
3.1 From can; hazy orange color; medium bitterness and I would wish for more fruity aroma. Additionally a bit metallic taste. Eventhough decent drinkable pale ale

3.2 Pours a finger of head on a clear dark straw body. The aroma is caramel, then barnyard and lemon. The taste is caramel sweetness, spice and lemon bitterness, a touch grassy. The texture is crisp. It has a strong spice and grass flavor, which could be off-putting.
