Alaskan Pale

Alaskan Pale

Fresh, crisp and inviting, this golden ale is a favorite with crab, prawns and salads. The floral aroma of hops is derived from dry hopping during the fermentation process.

2.9 Bottled. A golden beer with a thin off-white head. The aroma has notes of citrusy hops, malt, and caramel. The flavor is sweet with notes of boring malt, and a bit of hops, leading to a bitter finish. Thanks pinball for sharing.

4.2 Pours clear golden with one finger head that quickly fades. Light crisp hop aroma, clean & refreshing enjoyed on the deck after some yard work!
3.3 Golden orange topped by a marshmallowy-thick off-cream head. Very nice. Light toffeeish biscuit, candyish fruit, citrusy hops. Mellow, yeast-tinged cookie malt. Caramelly-sweet with a hint of fruit. Hops balance sweetness somewhat. Light citrus and sap; moderately bitter. Needs more hop presence. Yeasty-bitter finish. Soft, medium-bodied; a little creamy.
3.5 Bottle courtesy Fratto. This beer smells very grainy. Sharp notes, metallic and fruity pebbles. Oops appearance. Pours a golden yellow color. White head. Flavor is good! Hops and grains for sure on the flavor. Hoppy for a pale but good!

3.2 On tap at Christo’s Palace, Seward. Clearish straw body, thin tight off-white head. Light bitter, piny, spicy hops nose. Piny, floral body, dry and bitter, backed by light bready malts. Biscuity.
3.4 Draft sample at the Schlafly Repeal of Prohibition Festival. Pours a clear gold color with a finger-thick white head. Aroma of grassy and citrusy hops, pale malts, sugar, straw, and cereal. The flavor is along those same lines, with a little bit of mild spice. Light-bodied, with moderate carbonation and a dry, grassy mouthfeel. Reading this description, it doesn’t seem like much but this was a nice, easy drinking beer.
3.3 ((draught - Repeal of Prohibition) gold with small white head. Some citrus/floral hops in aroma. Flavor is biscuit malt and floral/citrus hops.

3.1 Bottle. Pours a golden body with a white head. Light citrus hop tones, a bit faint and floral on the nose. Has a malty backbone with hints of bread and caramel. Light bodied with a wisp of citrus to finish.
2.4 12oz bottle. Pours golden, thin white head. Sweet aroma, better foretaste followed by sweet. Unremarkable.
3.0 The Alaskan Pale is light amber in color; has a soft malted flavor; and finishes with a crisp hoppy tone
3.4 Bottle at the Desert Rose, bubble-wrapping the Total Wine hoard. Brilliant gold, slim white cap. Juicy hop aroma hinting at lychees and cream, grapefruit, soap and biscuit. Balanced, delicately tropical GA swaying between lychee, grass, buttered crackers and a drying, peanut-type nuttiness. Softly carbonated, crisp and good.
3.2 bottle. Poured clear amber with a foamy white head. Fruity hop aroma. Crisp semi-dry mouthfeel. Citrus hop flavour, bready pale malts. Medium body. Refreshing finish.
2.7 Tried this for my first time today. I wasn’t too impressed. It was disappointingly plain.
3.4 Clear gold, foamy white head. Aroma of bright citrus. Taste is mild but still vibrant if that even makes sense. Some grass and bitter hop finish. Medium light body, high carbonation.
2.0 Brought home a bottle from alaska from a friend who went on a cruize. Fresh. Darker than pale lager, but just barely, like yuengling. Thin pond scum head. No visible CO2. Smell is wew, medium hoppy apparent. Initial taste is dull thick mouthcoating, near IPA territory. Quite may I say for a lager lover. Soapy. Creamy soft old fish aged flavors. Heheh, it says golden ale, well, no. Even tho thats what the style is here on RB. Its really an APA;. IMHO. Not flat just barely above that. Medium bitter medicine finish hangs in there for an average or less time. No way this is a golden. If so, its a bitter golden, yew. Not yer typical Indigo Imp Blonde Bombshell Roy Pitz Best Blonde Ale Newcastle Summer Ale or Hoppy Liquid Sunshine Blonde Ale er sure.
3.4 bottle. Pours orange tinged gold with small white head. Aroma of malt, sweet corn, slight citrus. Crisp hoppy bite, smooth, refreshing, flavorful. Medium bodied, sessionable. This is a beer without alot of stand out flavors but it is not bland or uninteresting. A good session.
3.5 Draught at Sidewinders Tavern, Jackson, WY. Clear golden, small head. Zesty citric grapefruit aroma. Dry with clean, rounded mouthfeel. Tangerine and lychee carries it to a rather bitter finish. A fresh, hoppy light pale ale.
3.5 On tap. Clear golden yellow with a small white head. Malty aroma with a good amount of citrus and some light biscuit and wheat. Flavor is lightly sweet and malty with wheat and a medium citrus hop bitterness. Light body with average carbonation and a crisp refreshing finish. This is a good one on a hot day, I’m pretty sure this one was fresh because the hops were stronger than I remember, borderline American Pale Ale.
2.6 12oz bottle. Hazy blond with chunky sediment. Lasting small white head. Musty malt, doughy yeast, and faint spicy hop aroma. Low bitterness and just a touch of spicy hop flavor. Light malt with a touch of bread and fruity, doughy yeast. A little too chunky in body and not very clean feeling. Pretty blah blond ale.
2.7 On tap. Golden pour with minimal head. Somewhat fruity aroma with maybe a pinch of hops. Flavor is light, fruity. Mild sweetness balanced by a very slight hop bitterness. Light bodied, lively carbonation. It’s ok if you like beer that doesn’t require thought. Unoffensive, nothing special.
2.1 12 oz bottle into English pint. Thanks to brenn79. Nose is sweet and grainy; pretty bland. Pours just a slightly hazy gold hue with a medium head and decent lace. Taste is bland, bland, bland; slightly sweet with no bitterness. Highly carbonated with a grainy aftertaste. Medium bodied. Extremely simple, boring, thirst-quenching sessionable blonde. Definitely not a pale ale in any way.
3.5 12 oz. bottle- Pours golden with a nice creamy head and sticky lacing, aroma is some hops. The flavor is a mellow yet tasty pale ale, mild hop character and little malt. Good pale ale.
3.5 Golden orange pour in glass. Taste is initial hop bitterness and dry finish. Rated 8/14/02
