Alaskan White Ale

Alaskan White Ale

Formerly known As Alaskan Belgian Wit

Brewed with coriander, bitter orange peel and malted wheat, Alaskan White Ale has a light and crisp body pleasant tartness followed by slightly spicy aftertaste. The malted wheat gives the beer a more full and lightly malty mouthfeel. There is an aroma and flavor of wheat and coriander, with a dry and refreshingly carbonated finish.

3.3 12 oz can from my Mother in Law. Best By 100819 stamped on bottom of the can. The pour is a slightly hazed orange golden with a foamy 2 inch white head that is quite lasting, slowly falling with pretty lace. The aroma is herbal yeast, wheat grain, lemon citrus and lemon peel. The taste is orange citrus fruit, grain, coriander, herbal, the wheat grain and finishing with a dry floral. The palate is medium bodied with soft carbonation and unfiltered mouth feel and herbal yeast and lemon peel softly bitter finish. Solid.
3.2 2nd tasting on the brewery tour, a witbier, common white, not bad, yet not distinctive.
3.6 12 oz can rating. Hazy golden color with a sufficient and lasting white head. Nose of Belgian candy, spices, coriander, orange peel, pepper. Very easy drinking beer here. Good and sessionable.
3.0 Golden pour with a thin white head. Yeasty aroma with some spice. Lively carbonated mouthfeel up front. Coriander, pepper, a little banana. Quick finish. Good.
2.5 [12oz bottle from Total Wines, Brea, CA.] A slightly hazy pale amber pour with a ring of white head; weak coriander aroma; flat in the mouth with a grainy body, an some watery orange; then a thin finish with a trace of coriander and yeast. A pour imitation of the Belgian original.
3.7 A bit more citrus hop and yeast would make this better. But very refreshing and not offensive.
5.0 Enjoyed. Buy this again
3.7 12 ounce bottle from BwP Liquor Expo Wisconsin Dells, 5/3/19. Hazy amber, thin frothy white head, good retention Aroma of wheat, apple, spice. Taste is wheat, apple, spice, tropical fruit. Medium boded, well balanced. I'm prolly too drunk (it took me three tries to type drunk (and three tries to type three)). Another one I shoud have gotten a long time ago and I'm glad to get now.
3.9 Pours clear Golden with a thick fluffy white head. Aroma of coriander and sharp orange peel. Taste is full of spice, dominated coriander with nice citrus offsets. Palate is complex and attractive, the elements of the beer play across the tongue. Great wit.
4.0 Very nice taste.
2.3 Really bland hefe.
4.5 Since I normally drink Blue Moon, this was the first beer I tried on my first visit to Alaska being that I wanted to try something local. It has a little more bite than Blue Moon which is why I like it more. Fortunately, I can find this beer in central Texas but I still prefer drinking it in Alaska. I've even been to the brewery in Juneau and this is one of the beers they feature during the tasting session.
3.0 12 oz bottle pours Golden with a white head. Aroma of spice, bread and some grains. Taste is sweet spice and grains
3.1 Pajiza algo turbia. Citrica en el aroma. En boca predominio acido, especiado, citrico. Seca
3.2 Found in bottle from variety pack. Pours a clear golden. Really enjoyable throughout. Very solid option and would make a great early to mid spring beer.
4.0 As someone who doesn’t normally like Belgian wits this was really good. A nice orange hazy beer with a nice simple flavor, well-balanced with nothing coming through too strongly.
3.1 Pours a golden color with a quickly dissipating white foam head. Aroma is citrus, some spice, and bread. Flavor is sweet bread malts and light spice and citrus notes, with a wheat finish. Has a soft body. Okay witbier.
3.0 Hazy golden, small white head. Aroma of coriander, orange, lemon. Easy to drink, straightforward.
3.5 From a bottle poured into a shaker. Medium bodied wheatey wit. Lacks sweetness or depth of flavor. Average wit.
3.6 12/20/17. 12oz bottle at my folks’ house. Lightly hazed golden orange pour under a small khaki head. Light citrus aroma, a hint of spice. Light citrus flavor, a hint of spice, soft wheat. Tasty enough.
3.7 Average wit of orange with a good amount of corriander spice, finishes smooth. Nothing special here but drinkable.
2.6 12oz Flasche. Gelbes Bier, flüchtiger Schaum. Etwas Korriander und Getreide. Im Geschmack auch die Kräuter, Korriander, Hefe. Langweiliges, recht industrielles Wit.
2.9 Goldgelb schaum Ok, getreidiger Geruch, im Geschmack ganz leicht citrus etwas malzig Getreide, kaum Gewürze zu schmecken
4.7 cerveja deliciosa. a melhor de todas as Alaskan que já tomei. leve, mas sem ser aguada como as Pilsen comerciais. vale a pena.
3.2 Nice creamy texture and overall flavors balanced. Just a very solid beer. Nothing over the top and off putting.
3.7 This stuff is fine. It's a bit heavy on the coriander so it has that Fruity Pebbles taste to it but it's just a bit more than is ideal, nothing that ruins it. Otherwise, this is a pretty well brewed example of the style. I find the bitterness very slightly harsh but, again, this is just a bit more than is ideal not a real complaint. It's got a fairly creamy texture and pleasantly vigorous carbonation. This doesn't quite nail the target it's aiming for but is close enough to be really good.
2.9 Bottle. Well behaved from the start except for the big head. Lots of sparkling going on here. Mild taste with a slight metallic hint. Fairly clean, no real bitterness. Not bad. It's GONE!
3.0 12 oz bottle. Pours a slightly hazed yellow with small white head. Aroma is lightly spiced wheat and a touch of lemon zest. Flavor is slightly sweet wheat with a touch of coriander. Not bad for what it is.
2.6 Clear pale yellow colour with smallish head on top which goes to the sides of the glass. Aroma has spices, coriander, wheat malts, maybe orange peel too. Taste has orange peel, coriander, wheat, light citrus note and ends slightly bitter and dry. Medium body and medium carbonation. Somewhat off with the spices here.
3.2 Pours a hazy golden yellow from the bottle with bubbly white head that leaves moderate lace. Aroma of juicy citrus notes over a hint of spicy wit esters. Taste is a solid Belgian wit with a good citrus note. Decent for the style.
