AleSmith San Diego Pale Ale .394

AleSmith dialed in the recipe resulting in an extremely drinkable 6% ABV Pale Ale with light bitterness and accentuated hoppiness designed to fill the gap between AleSmith X Extra Pale Ale and AleSmith IPA. This San Diego Pale Ale will showcase abundant piney and citrusy hop aroma and flavor from an intense dry-hopping schedule. A balanced malt profile will round out these hoppy flavors with a biscuity finish to enhance drinkability throughout the innings.

3.5 Pint CaN made on 11/15/22 - nose is caramel, grass, and resin. Sip adds little. Decent bitterness.
3.8 A bit hazy golden color with medium off-white head. Aroma caramel, grass, tropical fruits and citrus. Taste is malty sweet with long quite bitter and dry aftertaste. Flavors of caramel, grass, citrus and malt.
4.0 Hadn't seen this one before and got it from leftovers from a work conference my wife was attending. Great piney hop aroma from a slightly hazy medium yellow/orange body with an almost whipped cream fluffy white head. The piney hops follow into the taste with a solid flavor and medium bitterness. Sweet caramel malt balances this perfectly. There's a little orange and lemon near the end too. Finishes with a lasting but light bitterness and residual sweetness. Tasty, easy to drink but not in a pedestrian way. Everything here is spot-on American pale ale.
3.6 Orange, caramel malt, and orange peel aroma. Slightly hazy golden yellow with giant off-white head. Moderately sweet orange caramel malt, and moderately bitter orange peel flavor. Good body.
3.6 473 ml can from Small Batch Dispatch. Pours a cloudy deep orange colour with modest-sized whiteish head. Aroma is citrus and pine with gently toasty biscuit. Flavour has grapefruit, gently toasted biscuit, some pine and a little caramel. Medium plus bodied. Nice.
3.8 16 ounce can from Ernie's in Lexington. A bright orange pour. Light in body with light malt and maybe a bit of pine.
4.2 Hoppy with a rich malty taste to balance it out. Nice.
3.8 Aroma: piney, citrus fruit. Appearance: clear light amber color with a one-fingered beige head. Taste: piney, citrus fruit, biscuity malt, medium-low sweetness, medium bitterness. Palate: medium-high carbonation, moderate dryness in the finish. Overall: classic American pale ale, with a solid hop profile and good drinkability. nice choice for summer night.
3.3 Can at LCBF 2022, Tobacco Dock. Clear mid golden. Old school west coast. Lightly bitter. Malty.
2.8 2 finger porous off-white head. Dissipates at a fast but steady pace. Small bits of lacing. Clear, amber coloured beer. Aroma of lemon drops, candied orange peels, hint of pineapple, hint of mint and rosemary. Taste of grains, lemon, grapefruit, hint of green tea, ginger & honey. Mouthfeel is full bodied but with a hollow finish. Drinkable. Medium-low bitterness. Low carbonation. Overall: Just a citrusy Pale Ale, unextravagant and borderline dull. Probably has a time and a place but that for sure isn't to sip it on its own.
3.2 Taste and aroma of malt, hops and yeast. A little bitter. Follow me @ Kung av öl @ Facebook and Instagram for more pictures and ratings.
3.8 Clear golden color with foamy white head. Aroma of pine, hops, citrus and malt. Taste is smooth and clean with malts, hops, pine and some citrus. Finishes mildly bitter. Medium body, high carbonation. Smooth and easy to drink, very good.

3.6 Proffs!
3.0 A small bottle from Jason's in the basement of Taipei 101, drunk at home several days ago. Aroma: malty, very inviting. Appearance: clear dark amber, generous bubbles. Palate: light-bodied and slick, soft carbonation, bitter finish. Taste: medium-bitter, very well-balanced, some vanilla and biscuit. Quaffable.
3.0 Piney citrus hoppy aroma with fair amount of biscuity malt. Pours a hazy copper color with small frothy off white head. Piney hop flavor with bready malt. Medium bodied with medium co2, lingering piney hop. Pretty sure this is an old can. Nonetheless easy enough to drink. Hop flavors very muted though. Never mind date on bottom. Only four months old.
3.6 Golden, clear with a medium white head. Hoppy, citrus and caramel aroma. Medium bitter wirh a semi dry hop and floral end. Like
3.7 Burk från SB. Gyllengul klar vätska med lågt vitt skum. Doft och smak av karamell, tallskott och citrus. Bra balans, rena smaker, drickvänlig, snäll beska. Fint djup i karamellsmaken. Gott
3.8 Wow that’s nice pale ale. Good pale ale that’s clean body and smooth very very easy drinking. Tasting is piney, a little bit citrus. And over all is very very good. Very very nice pale ale also notable.

3.6 Burk. Karamell, blött gräs, vanilj och kåda. Stor sötma. Medium beska. Lite oljig munkänsla.
3.8 Nice aroma of some sweet malt and slightly catty hops. Nice deep gold color with a huge off white head. Bread like sweetness up front. Roasted caramel quickly followed by a pine and grassy bitterness. We’ll balanced. Light to medium mouthfeel with caramel hop finish. TG would like this one.
Mogen frukt.
3.7 Canned from Systembolaget Golden with a medium head. Resinous and fruity some perfumenotes. Medium to high bitterness.
