Sour ale aged in wine barrels with strawberries. A celebration of the summer harvest, this blond sour ale is loaded with Coastal Seascape Strawberries grown at Dirty Girl Farms in California’s santa Cruz Mountains. These delicious berries are swept by cool evening ocean breezes and drenched in warm daytime sun before being hand-picked and added to this tart and refreshing ale. Enjoy paired with classic charcuterie and summer salads.

4.3 Aroma: strawberry, vinegar, lemon, pineapple, tart apple, leather Taste: heavy sour, strawberry, pineapple, leather, lemon, vinegar
3.8 Bottle from Plumpjack. Slightly hazy pinkish straw with a fizzy white head. Aroma is strawberry, quite nice, funk, yeasty. Flavor is also lots of strawberry, tart, dry. Medium bodied and lively carbonation. Strong offering.
3.4 375ml bottle. Heavy yeast nose and subtle bitter notes. Cloudy texture which has a substantial bitter taste and a slight fruit flavour.
4.0 Backlog, ocena przepisana z untappd, w ramach uzupełniania profilu na ratebeer.
3.5 Aroma is strawberries, slightly dull alcohol and earthy. The flavor is strawberries, fruit, mild vinegar/Worcester sauce and a tart/funky finish.
4.2 Hazy golden hue with a thin bubbly white cap. Big funky earthy tart aroma of something like what a 13 year old would wear on a trip to the mall--candy strawberry and perfumey herbal touches--but with a big funk twang. Twangy bright flavor that’s built on a blonde Belgian malt base but has a nice tart bright strawberry fruity tartness to it too. Really pretty interesting and tart and bright and funky and just the lightest kiss of tart strawberry juice.
3.8 Aroma: Strawberry, Cranberry... Appearance: Reddish/Orangish Hue, Passes Some Light,Thin White Head Ring, Minimal Lacing... Taste: Strawberries, Hay... Mouthfeel: Decent Carbonation, Medium Bodied, Mildly Bitter
3.9 On tap at Harry Hofbrau’s in Redwood City, CA. Aroma is funk, musty things, mild strawberries. Taste is tart and musty. Mild fermented and funky strawberry notes. Finish has some dry woodiness. Like the funky notes but tartness / sour is overwhelming.
3.7 Draught at Canary Square, 8/10/16. Good clarity (very soft haze) to this light pinkish-red beer with a pink-flecked, beige head atop showing moderate to low retention. Dainty brett, wood and softly juicy strawberries remind immediately of the equally elegant reserve pluot. There’s a dose of stronger acidity but it’s not lasting nor does it take away from the fruitier, brighter, brett and strawberry notes. No alcohol or flaw. A bit of sweet malts lying behind it adding honey, predominantly. Very juicy strawberry notes are augmented by honey-like malt notes but are both dried out by light acetic and lactic character. Black pepper, touches of citrus and light oak/wood character add complexity without detracting from the strawberry focus. Very authentic and enjoyable, and overall a bit more aggressive acidity than the pluot, though this is also much, much more fresh than the bottle of pluot I had. Low but tight carbonation. Surprisingly malty, though not too much so. Very flavorful, no alcohol or flaw.
3.1 Dégustée en compagnie de Marc-André. Cheers mec!
3.7 Bottle Aroma-strawberries, vanilla Appearance-golden, hazy, white foam, Taste-heavily sour, light sweetness, Palate-medium body, sticky, average carbonation, long finish, Overall-very good
3.2 375ml bottle pours nearly flat murky pinkish orange with a few bubbles. Nose and taste have damp musty funk, faint nail polish, some earthy strawberry but the fruit is muffled and not bright, wet basement, toast, medium low acidity. Somewhat messy and murky flavors and lack of carb dragged this down. This one’s a miss.
4.7 Draft: pours a cloudy straw color with thin white head, aroma is amazingly funky, taste is tart, funky, dry finish, even a bit harsh. Excellent beer.
4.6 Sour ale avec léger goût de fraise. Couleur légèrement opaque. Une belle rondeur. Un must.
4.2 375ml bottle. Poured a hazy golden color with a smaller sized head. Strawberries, wood/oak, citrus and tart fruits.
3.8 Draft at Monks during a sour event. Cloudy pale peach pour. No head. Modesty strong lactic sour. Gentle strawberry-lemon flavors. Dry floral finish. Thankfully feels like real strawberry.
3.9 A sour beer with very nice body, a nice surprise. The fruit is quite mild, perfect. The sourness is true to spontaneous fermentation (I think). Great beer.
3.5 Amber gold. Boozy, funky nose with light strawberry, lactic lemon, and vinegar. Flavor is kind of a tart strawberry rhubarb-ish mix. Acidic, twangy funk. Probably my least favorite thus far.
4.0 Ruby red color. Cloudy appearance. Thin white color. Spotty lacing. Strawberry aroma. Smells like a pixie stick. 6\10 on sour scale. Strawberry flavor. Tad salty. Abrupt finish. Light bodied. Average carbonation.
4.0 Bottle at Chapel Slightly cloudy light golden with a small white head, no lacing. Aroma is tart, fruity and strawberries. Taste is tart, strawberries, dry Very good
3.8 Bottle. Pinkish-orange, lively white head. Aroma of fresh cut strawberries, yoghurt, vinous undertones. Big fresh strawberry flavour with a lot of acid, which is welcome since it keeps this from being too sweet (an almost universal fault of strawberry beers, at least to me). Light lactic sourness, vinous undertones. Quenching, moderately sour, nice use of fruit, thoroughly enjoyable.
4.2 Bottle from Whole Foods PM. Pours turbid orange with white head. Nose is strawberry, earthy, yeasty funk, female taint. Tastes of tart strawberry, yeasty funk, earthy notes, and a tart finish.
3.6 On tap at Bigby’s Pour House in Addison, IL., and small snifter served showing a cloudy, orangey gold color, with a modest layer of white head foam, and spots of lacing. The nose was strawberry, some vinous nature, dry & tart, but also some hints of peach-like pit fruit that may have been remnants of a peach cider that was previously on the same line. Light to medium bodied, with spritzy effervescence, and again, dry & tart. Refreshing.
3.8 375ml bottle pours a translucent orange with a ring of white head. Nose has strawberry jam, oranges, white wine, mild passion fruit. Flavor is tart, unripened peach, unripened nectarine, mild barrel, white wine. Tart finish. Tasty.
3.9 Really enjoy this light citrusy beer with a strawberry finish worth buying again
3.0 cloudy orange pour, aroma tangy gooseberries, yeast. super sour. sourpatch kids leavings. underripe strawberries, butter. cantelope
3.6 KRS 311215. Golden-orange colour with an off-white head. Aroma is sourness, strawberries. Flavour is sourness, strawberries, yeast, citrus, berries. Nice beer.
4.2 Orange color. Very little head. Nice smell. Nice combinaron of sourness strawberry and wine. Good one
3.8 375 ml bottle shared by someone (I think phaleslu) from notes. Pours a slightly hazy golden color with a scant off white head. The aroma and flavor have tart strawberries, lemon citrus, some acidity, light acetic, strawberry yogurt, I wouldn’t say this gets sour, but has a nice tartness.
4.5 Aroma got funk and the flavor is balanced in a classic base with a hint of sour strawberries on top. Medium acid that lingers a while and ends in a fresh summer after taste. The growing acid gives it some attitude.
