Alpine Beer Company McIlhenneys Irish Red

Alpine Beer Company McIlhenneys Irish Red

Our most versatile beer. Good to drink as well as cook with. Light enough to quench a thirst and complex enough to accompany fine dining. Carmel malty sweet fades to a chocolate roasty finish and dry from a touch of rye. 1.057 OG 13 IBU 6%ABV

3.8 Ruby, crimson, and garnet with a tightly packed eggshell cap. Such a solid and balanced brew with loads of caramel, toffee, raisin, cocoa, pine, spicy rye, and bright citrus. Could drink a ton of this and not usually a fan of the style. Alpine does it again!

3.5 Pour on tap at HopCat, slightly hazy red pour with white head, aroma brought notes of toast, marshmallow, some caramel into a bit of toffee, dark fruit, some slight grassy, herbal notes in there as well. Taste was a mix of sweet caramel, toffee, slight earthy notes into a bit of herbs, some grass, touch of yeast into a bit of fruit, finishing sweet, slightly smoky almost.
