2.8 Pours dark brown with medium-sized beige head. Slightly fruity aroma. First impression is a rich malty flavour, then - surprisingly - a relatively strong alcoholic note (too much, given its strength). Palate is slightly bitter. After all, it features intense flavors, just not perfectly balanced.
3.4 a nice dark lager. Dark coper beer with a meidum head. The beer is sweet and malty with a dry finish.
2.6 500 ml bottle. Pours clear brown, small head, not long lasting. Roasted malt, caramel. Sweet, slightly bitter. Low carbonated, light bodied. Malty finish. Smooth in the beginning but turns out as boring. Below average Dunkles.
3.0 500 ml Bottle. Pours with a clear, brown Color and a small off-white head. Nose is lightly roasted malts, dried apricots and something I can't discribe. Taste is sweet malty, dried fruits, slightly hoppy. dry and herbal finish.

3.0 Shared with wim at my home. Light brown colored beer with medium white head and no carbonation. Herby spiced aroma. Full sparkling palate. Finish is sweet herby bitter.
3.0 Caramel Bitter finish like Alt Bier Light to medium bodied Special bitterness in the finish This sharp bitterness makes this one nice. But less aroma.
3.0 Bottled. Nose is of metallic cardboard: like a delivery package with lots of staples. Pour is deep dark coal with a massive frothy off white head. Good taste, a little watery throughout, but good balance of sweet toasty malty goodness and light hopping makes it not sweet but not rich. Kind of like an American filter coffee compared to an espresso: sometimes it does the job but it’s not exciting in any way. Lovely bottle and pleasing on those cold winter months...what’s telling is that now in February this was the only winter beer left in the supermarket. Either wanton over ordering or this thing didn’t sell as well as the other Christmas beers we had here in Karlsruhe. Fürstenburg taking the crown for me this year.
2.9 Braune Farbe, Geruch: Malz, Karamell. Antrunk: dünn, Karamell, etwas beerig in der Mitte. Kurzer Abgang: Beeren , sehr zart bitter
3.9 Pours an amber-brown color, with a huge, spongy and fizzy head. Smells of coppery wheat, with a nice lactic tartness to it. Matured, grassy hops are recognizable, mingling perfectly into the whole grain bread foundation of the beer. Has a lively, yet soft carbonation to it, showcasing the beers refreshing malt smoothness in an easy drinkable fashion. Tastes of toffee malts from the beginning, with a slightly metallic carbonation adding a coppery quality amongst a bright breadiness. Malts turn more toffeeish while getting perfectly balanced by the bread, together with a pleasant mix of tartness and hop bitterness, both complimenting the beers malt characteristic. Finishes clean with a malt beer reminiscence and bubbly carbonation wrapping up the toffee. Drinks refreshing and light with a great, convincing, multi layered breadiness to it. Very convincing for my palate, without turning overly sweet, due to its rich bread profile.
