3.2Currently I am updating my ratebeer with al the beers I drank but was too lazy to rate at the time. I give the scores I gave back than. If I drink the beers again I might re-rate them.
3.6Bottle. Pours unclear brown in color with a whitish head. Dark ripe fruits, raisins, some sour notes and bit of malty sweetness in aroma. Dried fruityness, some roasted notes and bit of dark sugary sweetness in taste. Later on some hard toffee and bitterness appears with some additional notes from some nuttyness, cherries and sour berries in aftertaste
2.9Bottle. Gusher. Frothy off-white good mostly lasting head. Amber colour. Moderate malty and hoppy not yeasty aroma. Moderate bitter herbal7candis flavor. Average moderate bitter finish. Oily palate. messy beer.
3.7Very lively, big fast fading head... Cherries, caramel some chocolat, something bretty... Very well balaced taste.. Sweet sour...
3.7One of Alvinnes Morpheus beers, based on Morpheus Wild. Thick, sticky, off-white head, murky chocolate brown colour, very dark. Aroma of chocolate, plums, coffee liqueur, brown sugar, brambleberries; fruity but very dry taste, complex, bitter chocolate malts, coffee touch and more roasted bitterness in the end. Almost imperial stout-like.
3.3On draught at Alvinne. Dark brown with foamy head. Sour dough sours, bretty, sugar cane, slight old browny and malt scent. Creamy character, dried date fruits.
Uitgeschonken in Grimbergen glas
3.5On tap @ Haandfest 2013. This is a deep dark amber red one with a small quickly sidesticking beige top. Sweet dark candied sugar on the nose with only subtle herbal hints. Not much more going on here really. Have a feeling that this is a one of those sweet ones. It’s actually not overwhelming sweet. Yes, lots of candied sugar, but it has a bourbon wood like mildness that cuts through it. Gently oily mouthfeel with a comfortable carbonation level. Sweet licorice on the taste. Soft herbal as well. It’s not all that bad actually. 25.05.2013
3.8Bottle at Délices et Caprices. Murky brown liquid with a huge brown head. Aroma of lemon, raw sugar, coffee, acetic acid, sweet alcohol and dried fruit. Taste is dry and light to medium sour with notes of raw sugar, coffee and dried fruit. Medium bodied with low carbonation. Extreme gusher.
3.4Heel donkerbruin, mooie stabiele kraag. Ruikt moutig, zuur, chocolade. Smaakt zoetzurig, wat cacao, kruidig, aparte smaak, beetje medicinaal.
3.4Bouteille: Deep amber coloured with a ruby sheeen, presumably hazy, stable off-White foamy layer; sourish and slightly sweetish cellary-lemony nose with sweet red wine and caramel in the Background; moderate to solid sweet and sourish flavour, medium to full bodied, a bit adstringent; dry sourish and cellary finish with some chocolatey flavours. A good dunkel thirst-quencher...
Geruch sehr malzig süß, alkoholisch, belgische Hefe. Geschmack sehr malzig alkoholisch, fruchtig, würzig
3.5Draught @ Animal Bar. Pours dark reddish brown with a moderate white head. Sweet, sour, caramel aroma. Flavor is light sour, chocolate, sweet, light to moderate bitter, a bit yeasty.
3.3FDBK 2010. It smells roasty, bit bitter. The taste is roasty, bitter, darkmalty, bit hoppy. In the aftertaste roasty, sweet-sour, drinkable.
3.8In fles 33cl. Mooie donkere kleur. Caramel / koffie smaak. Mooie volle smaak met een lichte sparkel.
3.533cl fles gedeeld. Donkere kleur. Witte schuimkraag. Eerste smaakimpressie : chocolade, koffie, koolzuur. Eerste slok even vreemd, vervolg goed te doen.
3.3shared bottle. poured a light brown colour with a good head. taste is slight sour, some caramel hints, hoppy en fruity tones. alcohol is well hidden. but the sourness in this beer is not my style
3.2Dark with a brown, yellowish head. Caramel, chocolate, roasted malts, old bottle, balanced nose. bit bread. Alcoholic finish, creamy. Strong body, bit too dominating. Bitter in the finish gets a sweetish touch. Old bottle dominates this brew, although the beer is still before maturity date. Overall, nothing off but very straight forward. Bit disappointing compared with the other Morpheus beers.
3.9Poured brown with a small beige head. Aroma of caramel malt, candy sweetness, dark fruit and lively yeastyness. Full body, flavour as the aroma, some coffee and dark chocolate as well, lingering sweet finish, quite alcoholic.
4.6Super, piana az wychodzi z butelki takie nagazowanie, moze etykieta niepozorna i skromna ale piwo przednie. Piana brazowawa czarne piwo nieprzepuszczajace swiatla.
3.8Dark amber with an off white head - good malt aroma with dark fruits and some roasted malt - A very good malt body with some coffee and roasted malt - roasted malt that goes into the finish - This was good
3.4Bottle from Vinmonopolet, Kvadrat. Pours dark ruby with a small creamy white head. Aroma of dark fruits, sugar, roast and coffee. Taste is light dry, bitter, roasted coffee and herbs. Full bodied, lingering roast.
3.6SBWF 2013. Very dark brown beer with a decent beige head. Fruity sourish aroma, yeasty, plums, raisins, caramel, some Spices. Fruity yeasty flavor, caramel, warming alcohol, raisins, some spicy notes. Fruity sweetish finish with caramel, floral notes and some wood.
3.8bottle and BBF13 tap (taken from notes) - pours hazy dark brown with a tiny off-white head. Aroma of toast, roasted malts, oak, caramel and a hint of raisins. Medium body with slight smoked background, slight carbonation. Taste is rich malts and vanilla nibs. Nice beer.
3.5Keg at Borefts Bier Festival 2013. Tastes a bit like Duchesse de Bourgogne, sour, sweet and caramelised
2.7Borefts 2013 - Very boozy. Smells like whiskey malts. Flavour has sweet pale malts and is smooth and creamy.
3.7bbf 13
