Earlier Rating: 2/10/2014 Total Score: 3.5
Bottle
Bit of a gusher
Pours clear light amber / dark blonde
Good white head
Smell is dry, funky, yeasty
Very, very high carbonation .
Taste is more of the typical alvinne-style . Grainy, some funk, some twisted sweetness, dry . Some perfume . Ok , but alvinne has WAY better beers
3.5Another one in the endless series of Alvinne experiments, analogous to Alvinne Extra R.A. but with their special Morpheus yeast. Cream white, loose head, pretty copper colour, hazy, on the dark side for this style. Nutty malts in the nose, caramel, orange peel, tomato and lots of oily hops. Nutty malty taste, dried fruits, orange peel, thinnish body considering the ABV, long and very powerful, resinous, peppery hop bitterness.
3.5Hazy and pale golden colour with a white head, high carbonation, good lasting. Aroma has notes of fruits, some banana, yeast, spices and wheat. Flavor is moderate bittery with a light sourness, very fruity with a high presence of yeast. FRuity final with a mild bitterness.
3.2Bottle at Nüetnigenough, july 29. Pours clear golden with a very large white head. Aroma is spicy, floral, grass, wheat. Taste is medium sweet grainy and medium bitter with a lingering dry spicy bitterness in the finish. Light/medium bodied, high carbonation.
3.5Net zoals de meeste Morpheus is dit ook weer een bier met een speciale smaak, maar wel goed.
3.2Interesting Belgian. Big lasting white head and lively prickly carbonation (a bit much). Very dry. Flavor is bitter hops, almost resin, the yeast, some malt and a funky element. A bit harsh.
2.50.33l bottle shared with The Tasting Crew. This is a gusher alright! The mighty cat reflexes saved the day once again. Or, a wet table has to be OK once in a while. Lots of foamy almost dirty but lacing off-white head over a really cloudy sedimental deep golden orangeish body. Smells brettish with green bitter grass and some not so bad fruity tones. Gymnastic Hall aroma also comes to mind when smelling this. Hmm.. Strange flavors. Not directly bad but strange. Soft brett infused with more bitter green grass, yeast, hay and leafs. Almost a little soapy-floral. Not directly bad in any way, just a bit off perhaps. 15.01.2014
3.5Bottled. Pours hazy, deep golden with a small, lacing white head. Aroma of yeast, caramel, citrus notes and some grass. Sweet flavor that ends up quite dry and bitter. Medium bodied, oily texture and soft to average carb. A nice hoppy Belgian.
3.233cl flesje via Être Gourmet
Alcoholpercentage van 7,1%
Uitgeschonken in Grimbergen glas
3.60,33 bottle purchased in Belgium. Pours an orange color, hazy. Huge white and sparkling foamy head, which lasts long. Nose of tons of oranges, grapefruits, lime, Yasmin flowers and yeast. It reminds me of a farmhouse style beer from the US. Mouth of apple skin, fresh citrus, rose and yeast.
3.833cl bottle from BierNavigatie. Pale orange with a longlasting white soapy head. Light to medium body with moderate carbonation. Sweet with bitter hoppiness. Hops, yeast, peach, mango, orange, flowers, herbs and some spices. A tastefull refreshing brew.
3.6On tap at Pressklubben in Stockholm. Yeasty and fruity smell with some notes of apples. Similar taste, special yeast aroma that I can’t put my finger on.
3.3Bottle. Hazy pale golden color with a thick foamy white head. Dry, acidic aroma of lemon and apricot. Flavors are apricot, wheat and barnyard. Dry, medium sour and bitter taste.

3.3Bottle @ Chriso’s Pre-GBBF Shindig. The pour’s deep gold with a small head. The nose is funky apple and pear. A bit of Belgian yeast funk. The taste is similar. Yeasty funk. A touch of citric bite. lemon. Orchard fruits. Light body, soft carbonation. Overall, tasty. Not bad.
2.4Bottle, shared with BBGTC. Gusher! Pours a hazy light blonde body with a massive, short-lived foamy white head. Nose is wet grass, straw, lemon juice and hints of estery Belgian yeast. Taste is Belgian yeast, straw, hay and then...nothing. A watery affair, ending in some herbal bitterness. Watery body, medium carbonation. Not very impressive.
3.7Flaska från biersgourmete.be.
3.6Pours a magnificant hazy golden colour with a big creamy white head. Nose and taste mainly consist of tropical fruits like banana, passion fruit and oranges; sadly, there?s no real counterbalance of sour- or bitterness, only some yeasts to be distinguished, but still a decent palate. Medium bodied, medium carbonation.
3.1shared at my home with Yves golden blonde colored body with a white head and a spicy yeast hops aroma a spicy yeast dry bitter hop taste with a alcholic bitter finish
3.2Poured a very milky light amber with a small off white head. Aroma of zesty citrus. Medium body, flavour of sweet, bitter orange, light lactose.
3.8On tap at In de Wildeman. ABV is 7,1%. Sweet, fresh and spicy nose and mouth with a little acidity and some alco warmth. Medium to full bodied. Spicy dry tongue. Light hazy golden body wth a dense off-white head. Well balanced and refreshing.
3.2Bottle 330 ml at home, into a tulip glass. ABV 7.1
Deep golden orange on the body, two fingers of white head. Thick, with good retention and medium lacing on the glass.
Aroma is again quite yeasty, dirty hay, barn, wet dog. The off aromas seem to retreat after a while but it’s not getting much better.
Taste has sour notes, citrus, yeast and lots of it, light orange peel.
Medium thin body, average carbonation closer to the high side.
Overall okay, kind of weird actually.
3.1Clear blond coloued beer with small white head and no carbonation. Hopped roasted aroma. Full sparkling and creamy palate. Finish is slight roasted fruity hinted bitter.
3.3330 ml bottle at home (taken from notes) - particular beer but in a good way. A bit stronger than a Sour Red Brown, but with a nice balance between sour & bitter components, adding some roasty flavours to it as well.
3.7333cl bottle. Pours dark yellow (close to orange), foggy appearance, with medium white frothy head. The aroma is a lot yeasty and lemony, with some sugary notes added. The flavour is a bit similar to a lambic, but one still gets the malts and the bitterness. The yeast definitely dominates. Spicy bubbles. Medium body, good carbonation. Very Belgian and well balanced overall.
3.5Bottle from Belgisk Bryg. Hazy golden colour with a small white head. Aroma and flavour of yeast, hops, malt and sour/bitter notes.
3.3ivory white head, disappears fast without lacing. orange blond. aroma of citrus, curacao. taste is malty, bit of anise and aftertaste is resin, bitter. too much carbonation, medium body and slight hot mouthfeel. a gusher .. again, as with almost all alvinnes i’ve tried. adding the yeast deposit made the taste much more mellow and enjoyable. bottle 33 cl / bbf 1-2014
3.9Weird beer. It’s yeasty, grassy, bitter and has notes of citrus, white grapes and come caramel. Quite good.
3.3Bottle at Chriso’s Pre-GBBF Shindig 2013, 10/08/13. MASSIVE gusher ALERT ! DJ Monarch wore most of this one !
Hazed golden amber with a thin white head.
Nose is tarte fruits, orange, light plastic notes.
Taste comprises dark fruit, orange pith, light caramel, sugar, straw, spice.
Medium bodied, fine carbonation, dry finish.
Ok.
3.7Bottle at La Fiere Margriete. Deep gold color with a huge, fine head. Cloudy with some floaties. Tangy, funky nose, citrus, peach, a touch of vinegar. Tart, lightly funky flavor. Metallic. Grapefruit. Quite bitter finish with the same funk. Good stuff.
