4.0Tap at unorthodox. Intense sourness, rather lactic character, feels pretty clean, even if a bit cheesy. Lots of fruity character, red fruits, esters. Med-thin body, moderate carbonation. Quite good, also true to style. Rather slow drinking, but very good.
1.2Troebel donker roodbruin bier met zeer kleine witte schuimkraag. Ruikt licht zurig. Super zuur van smaak. Smoelentrekker
3.7330ml bottle from International Beer Collector
8%abv BB 2022
Pours a pale copper body, reasonably murky, sparse foam dies down into a firm cap.
Aroma somewhat spicy/phenolic upfront - pepper, clove, hay/dust, sort of barnyard, baked Apple, bread crust.
Ooo wow... Lots of carbonation but soft/fine bead lending a creaminess, then comes a whack of like almost malic/Apple like acidity that cuts through what would otherwise be a rich body.
Sort of reminds me of a farmhouse cider in some regard - fruit notes if stewed Apple, apricot, brown sugar, hay and barnyard, some sweetness upfront but tartness and tannin on the finish.
Once again so typically Alvinne - it's own thing; majestically all over the shop, rustic AF, oh so complex, and it works and tastes amazing!
4.0Bottle in the Victorian Beer Cafe in Halifax. Rich, sour and vinous. Pretty good.
3.6Taster courtesy of Sander, big thanks. amber hazy color, small white head. smells earthy, spices, some funk, bit rubbery, lactic, earthy, nice smell. full body, light carbonation, slick mouthfeel. tastes of vinegar, earthy, nutty, marzipan, peppery, lactic, some sweetness, ripe fruits, light berries, peppery, spices. finishes lightly sweet and lightly sour with notes of ripe fruits, berry notes and some marzipan. pretty nice one, a bit on the heavy side (with the sweetness), but overall quite good.

TASTE: similar to the aroma with medium-high plastic like notes (wrapping film) with touches of medicinal. slightly sweet malt background. medium-low sourness and bitterness. PALATE: medium-low body with medium-low carbonation. OVERALL: a belgian style sour with very odd notes.
3.518 January 2019. At Dok Brewing Company, Ghent. Cheers to Anke & Pieter!
Pours hazy orange with a lasting, very thin, frothy, off-white head. Aroma of sourdough, apple sauce, lime, wet hay, grass, straw, leather, wet wood, green apple, mandarin peel, green banana. Taste is medium funky sour, hay & straw mixed with yeasty sourdough, fruity accent of apple & unripe orange, rendering it faintly sweet too, a bit banana-like even; bitter touches of wood pop up on top of a bready malty base that is vaguely dusty & cellar-like. Dryish, tart, bit grassy hoppy finish, lingering 'funk' & hay, slightest touch of warming sherry alcohol. Medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation. Balanced, smooth.
3.9Pours a hazy, deep amber coloration with a medium, foamy head. Smells of sweet, bready malts and floral hops, with a light tartness and estery spice coming through as well. Taste follows the nose, being dominated by sweet, biscuity malt and flowery/herbal hops, but with a bit more tartness and estery yeast notes of green apple and peppery spice, as well as hints of white grape, peach and hay. Finishes sweet and sour, with some green apple notes lingering in tha aftertaste. Full mouthfeel with a rich body and medium carbonation. This is a very rich Belgian Sour ale that is a bit on the sweet and malty side, but still balanced nicely by some tart and estery notes. Great overall balance for such a rich, high-ABV Sour Ale, with a very nice body and mouthfeel.
3.8330ml bottle at the House of Belgium, Xiamen. Labelled as 8%. Pours hazy golden orange with a white head. Aroma of Belgian yeast and cider. Taste of vinegar and cider. Sour finish. More body and better than the Omega.
4.1Tarty and sour aroma, noticeable barrel. Cloudy orange color with small sized white head. Taste of sour fruit, barrel, wood, bitter orange, fresh peach, sour apple, amazing! Medium to full body, soft carbonation, creamy. Sweet and sour finish. Wonderful stuff. //tap at Alvinne tap takeover in Café Beermoth

4.002/06/2018 - 33cl bottle @ Brouwers in 't Bos, Ename.
Golden, with small lacing. Nose is sour, wood, apple. Taste is sour, green apple, some wood, bit sweet fruits. Pefect as an aperitif.
3.8Bottle from Willems in Grobbendonk. Aroma apple and lactic sourness, wood. Taste a combination of sour apples and sweetish malts, woody, maybe some vanila, making this stand out as a sour but not bad. Sweetness starts to dominate a bit as it warms. Syrupy, thick MF. Not too much depth but very tasty and refreshing, alcohol not detectable.
3.7Unclear, orange colored, small non lasting soapy off white head. Aroma is quite fruity, apples, grape, vinous, sour, funky, bit caramel. Taste is medium sweet malt and caramel, bit sugary, fruity apple and grape notes, bit vinous, funky, moderate sourness, dry finish. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, oily.
(bottle, Bierhalle Deconinck, Vichte)
3.4Bottled 330ml. -from Bierhalle Deconinck brought by kajser27, thanks. Cloudy orange/golden coloured, medium to big sized airy white head, yeasty and light acidic fruity nose. Moderate malty, yeasty, light caramel and light acidic fruity with mild sourness in the finish.
4.0October 7, 2016 - bottle, at Bar Hop. label on bottle indicates "8% - morpheus yeast" - but this is the beer. Hazy orange with a solid off-white mottled head. Sour/floral rhubarb aroma - taste follows, but lots of oak tannins and oak ... solid body, acidic as hell, airy with a dry buzzy finish. Lovely.
3.8Bottle, slow gusher. Hazy orange color with creamy off-white head. Aroma is fresh peach, white grapes, apricots. Taste is wood, apricots, white grape juice, tannic finish. Silky mouthfeel with high soft carbonation. Very well-balanced for 10%!
3.9Bottle from Kihoskh in Copenhagen. Fruity and tart with notes of white wine. Similar taste with grapes. Light tart. Well hidden ABV.
3.9Copper, hazy, undtable head, gusher.
Sour sherry, bread, malt, brandy, mature brie.
Sweet and sour.
Very good.
3.8Bottle. Hazy yellow to orange colour. Small white head. Aroma: dry acidity, wet hay, fruit. Medium body. Light to medium sour fruity taste. Some lactose. Absolutely no booze. Good
3.6Orange og uigennemsigtig - meget flot!
Dufter funky med en smule brett.
Smagen er sur, ikke videre kompleks.
Tør afrunding.
3.2Tallahassee, Fl - Market Square Liquors - 11.2 oz bottle. Pours a dull, light orange with a thin white head that dissipates quickly. Sour aroma, lemon and sweet tarts, Some muted lemony citrus notes, a bit of vinegar sourness, solid zesty tartness, good pucker quality. Decent spritz to the mouthfeel.
4.2Gylden brun lett tåkete med lavt beige skum. Lukter kinarestaurant, lett eddik. Lett+. Sur fruktig smak, sitron og ananas. Lettdrikkelig sour. Likte denne godt, i motsetning til mine bordkamerater. (Beaverex17)
3.3draught in Brussels. Poured a pale gold. sour notes, some sweetness and fruit. pretty ok.
3.8Nice blonde sour. Some fruity notes, raising and acidity. Some sweetness though more sourness. Some taste of blonde. Well balanced.
3.7Nice, squat, teatiform (®, Aurelius, 2017) belgian bottle. Functional but mundane label. Dunkelblond, slightly rusty, foggy brew with a fluffy almond head. Kriek-like, lambicky nose, some pickled gren olives, raspberry balsamic vinegar, with some pecan tones. Sour, weird, biotic. Mineral notes, a malt funk that reminds me of Chinese food somehow - soy sauce, or Zhenjiang vinegar. Pretty sweet, pretty sour, distinct raspberry notes. Slightly heavy body, goes a little flat, some apple astringency in the finish. It’s an odd brew - I wouldn’t want more than a couple of them in succession, but it’s a nice little changeup pitch if you’re doing a sampling session. Market Square Liquors, Tallahassee.
3.0Pours with light and quickly disappearing head. Appearance is golden and hazy. The beer is very fizzy. Pleasant taste of sour grapes, hint of yeast, and some metallic notes. Quite decent sour beer.
3.2Dark orange coloring, super tart green apple, at the same time a bit of vanilla / cream in the back
