Amager Christianshavn Pale Ale

Amager Christianshavn Pale Ale

English: Our pale ale is inspired by the style "American Pale Ale ", which is characterized by a good use of bittering and aroma hops. We have been generous in our useage of both the hop types Cascade and Centennial , as both have been involved in the boil and in the subsequent dry-hopping . The two varieties of dry hops give a fruity freshness in both aroma and taste. The taste is of both grapefruit and peach - and a tiny hint of pine needles.

Christianshavn Pale Ale is a feiry golden red in the glass with a dense, creamy and long lasting head, leaving a discreet blonde halo on the inside of the glass as it slowly settles . The beer has a medium density with a slightly sweet malt character , where a touch of caramel can be felt. The beer is rounded off with a mild and dry bitterness that titillates the taste buds and creates balance and harmony.

Christianshavn Pale Ale is a light alcohol beer so can - and should - be enjoyed in abundance.

50 cl, flaske, 5.5 % ABV, batch#1438, BB: 10/2017, købt i Meny i Føtex i Frederiksberg Centret.
3.8 Bottle. A true American IPA. Nice and bitter but not too much. There are not many different notes so its quite simple. But that suits me fine. Fits a salty snack very well.
1.6 Backlog, ocena przepisana z untappd, w ramach uzupełniania profilu na ratebeer. Karmel, słód jęczmienny i karton.

3.2 Flaska.
3.4 The beer is somewhat unclear who go in bright red to yellow. The foam is white with medium bubbles. The foam disappears leisurely quickly and leave fine traces. The aroma is fruity with hints of passion fruit, apricot, peach. Also a thick hops aroma that I was more than I expected. A little sweet notes of honey, herbs and some flowers. The taste open with some surprising hop character. The flavor is proceeding with fruity notes of passion fruit, apricot and a little peach. But here there will also be some grapefruit, honey and herbs. The beer has a distinct bitterness, and towards the end, a strong bitterness. Medium rich body. Moderately high carbonic acid. A little greasy with angular tendencies. The aftertaste is slightly fruity, but also malt sweetness bitter and little flowers.
3.4 Copenhagen 15/4 2016. 50 cl bottle from Føtex. Ancient street view from Christianshavn (I assume) on the label. Pours slightly hazy yellow with white head. Settles as 1 cm thick layer of foam. Moderate lacing. Aroma of citrus fruit - Sweet oranges and tart grape fruit. Some exotic fruit in there as well. Medium carbonation and slightly thick palate. Taste is rather bitter - without going to extremes. Balanced by fruity sweetness. Aftertaste is bitter and lingering. Nice enough bitter APA but not extraordinary compared to some of their more extremely hoppy versions.
2.4 From tap. Pours hazy amber with a thick white foam. Aroma is toffee, barn and stale hops. Taste is sweet. Malt, caramel and stale hops. Quite disappointing to be honest. I expected more.

3.7 Bottle, 50cl. Pours amber big, rocky and longlasting foamy off-white head. Wondeful. Moderate to heavy lacing on the glass. Caramel malts, citrus hops, pines, peaches, orange/grape fruits and some biscuits. Moderate towards heavy sweet flavour of caramel malts, bread and tropical fruits a la apricot, mango, peach. Clean and dry medium-long hoppy moderate bitter finish with caramel creaminess. Oily, sticky texture. Hands down, one of the best APA I’ve had.
Middels fylde. Frisk medium bitter. Lett søtlig fruktighet, mot mango og papaya. Middels lang lett bitter avsluttning
4.0 0.5L bottle, batch nr. 1105, best before 07/2016. Pours slightly hazy amber colour with a big and creamy off-white head. Lots of lacing left on the glass. Lots of fresh hops aroma, mostly pine and resin, some grapefruit, but I fail to notice the peach. Somewhat spicy as well as light malty. The taste is dry to light sweet, highly bitter. Long dry bitter finish. Powerful, refreshing APA.
3.6 Cloudy, amber colored, moderate to strong creamy off white lasting head with nice lacing. Aroma is caramel malt, biscuit, tropical fruits, pineapple, citrus hops. Taste is moderate sweet malt, caramel, lots of tropical fruits, floral and some citrus hops, moderate- bitterness. Dryish bitter finish and after. Moderate bodied and carbonation. (0,5l bottle Beerightback, Nova Gorica, SLO)
