Amager Lubricated Labrador
Danish: Begrebet "ølhund" er meget veletableret i hele den vestlige kultur, og den seneste hundevidenskabelige forskning etablerer da også, at hunde sætter endog særdeles stor pris på øl. En helt ny afhandling går skridtet videre og dokumenterer de enkelte hunderacers præferencer for bestemte øltyper. Pekingesere er f.eks. til Radlere med cola, Rottweilere elsker at dyppe snuden i en heftig Imperial Stout, mens Beagler ikke er kommet stort ud over guldølsstadiet. Men så er der jo hunderacen, som står vore hjerter nærmest, fordi den er stor, godmodig og ofte en kende velnæret - ikke helt ulig os her på Amager Bryghus. Vi taler naturligvis om Labradoren. En race, der fuldkommen som os bare ELSKER velhumlede Imperial IPA’er, i en sådan grad, at de ligesom os bare bliver ved med at drikke til de går i et temmelig bedugget humlekoma. Til Labradorens ære har vi brygget netop deres yndlingsøl, en fed, fed Imperial IPA, som er så tætpakket med humle, at den nærmest savler ud over glaskanten. Vuf!
English: The concept of the “ale hound” is well established throughout Western culture, and unsurprisingly the latest canine research shows that dogs are extremely appreciative of beer. A recent dissertation takes this one step further and documents the preference of individual breeds for specific beer styles. The Pekingese, for instance, are into Cola Radlers; Rottweilers like dipping their snouts in a hefty Imperial Stout; whereas Beagles have not evolved beyond the Strong Lager stage. But then there is the one breed that is dearest to our hearts, because it’s large, kind, and often quite well fed – much like the staff here at Amager Bryghus. We are, of course, talking about the Labrador Retriever. These are dogs, which – like us – simply LOVE a well-hopped IPA, and just keep lapping it up till they slip into a hop-induced coma. In honor of the Lab we have brewed their very favorite beer: a fat Imperial IPA, jam-packed with hops virtually drooling over the rim of the glass. Woof!

From Cervezalandia. In Teku glass. Watching Los Soprano 5x09. Strong bitterness with notes to orange marmalade. Long aftertaste and full, oily, chewing body
Orange colour, white head. Aroma of dank, citrus, pine, very west coasty. Taste is light to medium bitter. Light body, slick texture, soft to average carbonation. Pretty good.
Bottle. Pale amber color, slightly yellowish foam. Aroma: sweet, juicy hops, flowers, fruit, white port wine, nectar. Taste: very fruity, mighty hop bitterness, pine, fruit, citrus, white port wine, well balanced DIPA.
Bottled 500ml (Pub Winston). Hazy orange color, small steady white head. Riped fruits, mango and pineapple in the nose. Medium-bodied. Tropical fruity, mango, riped fruits, citrus, pineapple. Hoppy fruit cocktail. Not bad.
Tap. Pours golden, small foam, but lasting. Little alkohol in aromas, lemon, hoppy. Rather sweet. Medium carbonation.
Gylden brun klar med fingerhøyt beige skum. Lukter sydhavsfrukt, sitrusskall, trevirke og lett fudge. Fyldig. Mye bitterhet. Sitrusskall, druestener og lett fruktighet og trevirke. Tørr
On bottle from Vinmonopolet in Norway, on order. Almost clear golden color with good foam. Medium high aroma intensity; hops, pine, caramel, toffee and some malt. Medium full body & complexity . High sweetness, even though bitterness is high it does not balance well. Enjoyable
Pięknie pachnące grapefruitem i cytrusami IIPA. W tle wyczuwalny dość spory geraniol i dzika róża. W smaku wytrawne, bardzo chmielowe, wzorzec stylu. Niemniej, geraniolowe smaki się nasilają wraz z piciem tego piwa i ostatecznie strasznie to męczy i przeszkadza.
50 cl från systembolaget. En random dubbelipa som fungerar men inte mer. Tror den var bättre första gången jag drack den.
Fruity, sweet and floral fragrance. The taste is similar and quite okay bitterness too. Good bitterness that fills the mouth forever. It lived up to my hopes but a little too bitter. Follow me @ Kung av öl @ Facebook for more pictures and ratings.
Aroma is marmalade, ripe peaches, pine and resin. Taste is grapefruit heavy with a chewy, thick malt bill. Bread notes and sweet oranges with sticky marmalade sensations. Thick and oily texture. High bitterness and dry ending. Light boozy sting in the end. This one turns out to be a quite heavy and sticky DIPA, which is just fine by me.
Bottle from Vinmonopolet’s BU. Amber body, white, foamy head. Pine, resin, grapefruit, pineapple, tropical fruit, herbs and some resin flavour. Bitter. Medium to thick, oily body. Soft carbonation.
Bottled@Little Pub, Vaasa (backlog). Hazy orangeish golden colour with a mediumsized creamy slightly off-white head, which leaves nice lace. Aroma is fruity, floral, nectary, honeylike and some sweet malts to it as well. Flavour is intense tropical fruits, some grass, floral notes, pine, spruce as well as some resin. Big bitterness, and rather big sweetness to it as well.
Disig bärnstensfärgad till orange öl med ett smutsvitt skum. Dofter av grapefrukt, och karamell. I smaken tillkommer tallbarr och kåda. Oljig munkänsla.

Pours clear deep golden with a off-white head. Aroma has notes of malt, caramel, citrus, grape, pine and alcohol. Taste is medium to heavy sweet and medium to heavy bitter with a long caramel, citrus, grape and piney finish. Body is full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.
Bottle. Pours amber with an off-white head. Aroma of peach, citrus, malt, caramel and pine. Flavor is sweet and fruity with some pine, bitterness and citrus. Medium body, average carbonation.
Orange, small head, orange aroma, marmalade, caramel, toffee, bitter flavor, skunky, grapes, grass, agava, lemon, medium bodied.

Golden with a large, white head.
Loads of pine, resin and tropical fruits in the aroma.
Slightly oily palate and somewhat alcoholic.
Very piney flavour. Rather sweet.
Medium to high bitterness.
Bottle at Taps Beer Bar, Changkat, Kuala Lumpur. Poured a hazy medium amber with a thin broken white head. The aroma is orange citrus, woody resin hop. The flavour is moderate to strong bitter with a rich alcoholic resin hop, fruity light spice palate and a lingering bitter finish. Medium bodied with average carbonation.
Bottle shared with Jmgreenuk at Taps, Changkat. Hazy orange with a small off white head. Aroma of caramel malt, resinous hops, light tropical fruits and citrus. Flavour is moderate sweet and moderate to heavy bitter. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.
Bottle. Hazy orange color with off-white head. Aroma has tropical fruits, malt, caramel, mango. Taste is malty with quite long bitter and fairly sweet aftertaste. Flavors of mango, tropical fruits, malt, pine, honey.
Hazed deep golden color with a fine off white head. Looks good. Ok lacing. Good intensity in the aroma. Medium + body and a fine smooth carbonation. A bit oily texture and also a bit to sweet. Grapefruit hoppy, a bit butter, dried fruits, tropical, pine and resinous. Nothing wrong with it, just a bit to sweet for my likings.

Bottle from Systembolaget. Fruity and hoppy with citrus. Similar hoppy smell., deep hoppy and fruity Strong bitterness, long lasting. Very nice!
Pours a dark beige head with thick oily hops aromas. Light gold colored and hazy body. Thick in mouth with fat hops. Excellent.
Lätt dimmig, orange, orange skum av små bubblor. Doft: Humle, växter, kola, ruttna kläder, alkohol, härsket smör. Smak: Humle, barr, citrus, hård citrus marmelad fylld karamell, Fanta, frukt te med honung, våta gamla kläder.
Bottle - 500ml. Slightly hazy, orange/amber body with an average off-white foamy/creamy head. Pleasant, well balanced hoppy aroma with malty, fruity, and honeyish hints. Its robust, well balanced hoppy taste carries woody, fruity, and herbal notes. Ends with a warming bittersweet finish. Very enjoyable.
500 ml bottle from Systembolaget. Cloudy amber with a average white head. Moderate hoppy aroma of citrus, tropical fruits, pine and floral; moderate malty with notes of caramel, resin and toffee. Taste reflects the aroma. Medium bodied, with a slightly slick texture. Medium bitterness.
Flaska från SB. Smak och doft av humle, malt, citrus, apelsin, tall med toner av tropisk frukt. Fruktig, frisk, aningen torr, fin sötma, rund och len, bra balans, bra beska med smak av citrusskal.
