3.7Pours copper with a beige head. Aroma is caramel, boubon, vanilla, alcohol, raisin and plum. Flavour is caramel, bourbon, vanilla, alcohol, raisin and light plum.
3.3250 ml bottle courtesy of Marsiblursi. Pours dark reddish brown with a small hazel brown head that leaves tiny trace on the glass while slowly dissipating. Smell is sweet with wood, vanilla, hazel, sweet fruits, fudge and alcohol. Taste is sweet, slightly bitter and slightly sour with wood, vanilla, caramel, lemon peal, resin and bourbon. Mouthfeel is sticky sweet and slightly tart. Finish is rather dry and slightly bitter. Had hints of oxidation so bottle was probably after its prime but it had held up much better than the regular Kølle we had.
3.2(Bottle) Pours dark brown with a sand colored head. The aroma holds buttery/spicy/mild vanilla/coconut milk-ish bourbon up front with undertones of caramel, bread, cookies, honey, resin, citrus/lemon, light earth and crisp bread. The flavour near medium sweet, medium to heavily sweet and light acidic. Bourbon/oak, citric/resinous hops, oxidation and simple malt. The mouthfeel round and tart with light carbonation. Butter oak, citric/woodsy hops and simple malt on the finish. Medium bodied.
2.8Flaske 0,25l fra Ølbutikken, København. Dyp amber. Høyt farget skum som varer lenge. Litt fester seg til glasset. Søt plommearoma. Smaken har eikepreg. Blir mer og mer syrlig. Tungt fruktig preg. En sitter igjen med en veldig tung syrlig bitter ettersmak som varer lenge. Litt sedimenter.
4.0bottle. deep ruby/brown, small off-white head,Aroma: loads of malt, caramel, vanilla, oak, very fruity, strawberries, and dried fruits, dusty hops, faint peach, dusty, wow all of a sudden the aroma is SO fruity! raspberries, strawberries, red berries, but also slight minerally, like childrens fruit vitamin pills, Taste is quite malty, bready, some grassy notes, dusty hops, fruitiness, quite bitter, dry, oak, wood, minerally, red berries, a bit cheesy like blue cheese, some warmth from the alcohol, a bit weird, but I like!
3.725 cl bottle. BBE 20100915.
Pours cloudy brown colour with small head. Aroma of plums, berries, ripe fruits, malts, listerine, raisins, bilberries, oak, some cognag notes, peat and light caramel. Flavour of ripe berries, fruits, malts, caramel, toffee and liquorice. Quite complex and colourful brew but a bit too messy though.

3.525 cl bottle @ home, BBE 15.09.2010
Surprisingly lots of foam and CO2 for a oak-aged and past-BBE beer. Rather weird aroma with glue, solvent-like alcohol and berries. Flavour has dark, very mature fruits and berries, some glue, warming and burning alcohol. Feels a lot like liquor or cognag. Weird but kind of interesting.
3.7250 ml bottle. BBE 15.9.2010.
Pours a dark reddish brown colour with a thick white head. Aroma of strong sweet berries, oak, bourbon and solvent-like alcohol. Flavour of strong caramel malts, sweet berries, oak, bourbon and solvent-like alcohol. Medium bodied, very smooth mouthfeel and a pretty extreme mouth-drying finish with loads of ripe fruits and berries, but on the other hand solvent-like alcohol. Maybe this has seen it’s best days.
3.8Bottle. Very dar, almost black, beige head. Fruity aroma, oak, vanilla, woody, whisky, a lil sourish. Vanilla flavor, oaky, sourish, sweet fruits, hoppy and smoky notes. Nice malt finish that gets alittle dry.
3.7Bottle 25 cl, thaks to rlgk. Pours murky brown with a small bubbly tanned head leaving some lace. Aroma is sour, vanilla, oak, bourbon, sweet, raisins and dried fruits. Flavor is caramel, bitter, oak, vanilla, phenolic, alcohol; sweet in front dry at the end. Finishes bitter dry and with some raisin tones.

3.7Bottle. Hazy very dark amber with big tan head. Aroma is malt, caramel, bourbon, vanilla and dried fruits. Flavour is malt, ash, sweet, hops, caramel, fruit, medium bitter, bourbon, little vanilla, dried fruits and notes of alcohol.
3.8bottled, via trade with papsoe, similar in color to kolle with less harshness and smoke, smoother whiskey and fruits
4.0Nose is vanilla, coal, cherry, coconut, mild malt and late bitter hops, feel is quite broad, carb is medium, taste is coconut, sweet licorice, burnt malt, broad balanced alcohol, vanilla, taste fades very fast
3.8Bottle @ home. Aroma is deep and sweet fruity malty with loads of bourbon. Intense. Flavour is less sweet than expected. Smokey fruity malt, raisin, touch of wine, earth, leather. Ohw, and bourbon.Intense blow of strong flavours. A bit messy.
3.7Bottle. BBE 9/15/2010. Clear dark brown pour with a reddish hue and a thin instantly dissipating white head. Aroma of leathery bourbon, sugary aged malts, vanilla and some alcohol. Flavor is only slightly sweet, some fruity alcoholic malts, leathery bourbon and quite spicy. Definitely aged, but this brew can have that. Nice complex brew still.
3.8Bottle 25cl from Papsoe, thanks a lot. A dark beer with low head, nose is similar to the normal version : sugar, dark malt, yeast, vanilla. Aroma is on creamy caramel and toffee with a long caramel aftertaste, cherry and dry grapes notes, some oak notes but no too heavy. Very pleasant creamy body, peppery hops, alcohol is there but almost hidden, not far from another Danish beer : Amager Hr. Papsø.
3.8Bottle, from trade with Dedollewaitor. Pours a cloudy, caramel-hued brown body with a small off-white head. Nose is wood, peanuts, caramel, soy sauce and toffee with hints of biscuits and deep malty tones. Great stuff, but then again I’m a sucker for bourbon barreled brews. Taste is licorice and earthy, near-moldy tones of wood, caramel and bourbon burn. Alcohol is well integrated. Solid and mostly very nice, even if I could have been without the somewhat overt cellar tones. A very nice BA beer from Amager, which I’m glad to have tasted.
4.1Bottled. Pours hazy and deep amber with a dense off-white head. Nose of bourbon, vanilla, caramel and alcohol notes. Sweet flavour with vanilla, caramel, over riped fruits and bourbon. Full bodied. Soft carbonation. Syrup texture. Ends up more dry with notes of alcohol and a little bitterness. Great.
4.2Bottle 250ml @ home

Not bad, but proberly been in the cellar abit to long. 220411
3.5Bottle thanks to RobertGBG!
Sampled on February 26, 2011
Cloudy brown color, orange head. Sweet, alcohol, vanilla, oak scent. Sweet, malty taste. Smooth mouthfeel, high bitterness.
2.0Nose: Hard to define but very strange.
Taste: Very oakish taste, dry with some hints of roasted beans.
An ok beer, a bit hard to define and very dry
4.4Bottle. Amber colour with a beige head. Aroma is alcohol, malt, bourbon, licorice , oak. flavour is alcohol, malt, bourbon, licorice, oak, vanilla, cocoa. very nice beer.
3.7Small bottle from Ølbutikken - have been rested for a whie in the cellar. A muddy brown pour with a redish glow topped eith an impressive foamy head that blast vanilla caramels malty notes away when its slowly fade out a bit with a fizzy attitude. The aroma bares alot of vanilla, and sweet coconut. There are sweet orange notes with cane suger and lots of alcohol. Somehow I also find some notes of salty laqurice and tequila. The mouthfeel is medium and mutch lighter than I would have expected. The malty caramel flavour dominates along with a massive impression of alcohol. But also the sweetness from the bourbon vanilla and sour sweetness as for apples that a about to rotten. Long lasting aftertaste that gives room for a pleasant sweetness and a warming and picking alcohol feeling
3.9Bottle, kindly shared by my beerpal Christian. ABV is 10.5%, IBU 90+. Hazy dark brown colour, moderate beige head. Intense aroma of bourbon barrel (vanilla and oak). Very oaky flavour, the alcohol is noticeable. Bitter finish and aftertaste.
4.1Thanks to yespr for this one! Bottle looks really good, the beer in the glass also. Brown, nice head. Starts very strong, earthy-malty, fruity like raisins. Intense finish, fiery-alcoholic, a bit more woody-dry than the Kølle which I liked a bit more!
4.2Bottle.Pours a muddy dark amber with a small off-white head.Aroma is oaky vanilla,orange, sweet oxidized malt,licorice and alcohol.Flavor is a complex mixtue of sweet malt,licorice ,oak and vanilla.Full body,soft carbonation.A real treat.
3.4Bottle. Pours a murky dark amber color, with a beige head. Aroma is of wood, alcohol, dark fruit, berries and bourbon. Taste has slight amount of hops, but is dominated by booze, darkfruit that taste like they have been dipped in bourbon and bourbon. I also get some caramel malts and wood. Body is medium and slightly dry. It feels quite alot more boozy than the regular Kølle even though both have the same alcohol content. Overall a good Bourbon aged Barley Wine.
