Amager / Port Brewing Wookiee IPA

Amager / Port Brewing Wookiee IPA

English: We have been named a bunch of hop freaks at Amager. In our veins no blood flows, only concentrated alpha acids. Therefore it was a pleasure to receive a visit from two like-minded souls: Tomme Arthur and Mike Rodriguez from Port Brewing in San Diego, California – home to the juiciest of IPA’s anywhere in the US. Together we created this crispy and bone dry West Coast IPA. Not suited for those faint at heart. Are you afraid of hops then run. If you are not then sit down, relax and enjoy your bottle of Wookiee juice.

Totalmente recomendable!
3.4 Robe or voilée, nuances orangées, mousse assez faible et peu durable.
4.6 hazz golden colour, medium sized dense off-white head; aroma of pineapple, overripe watery peach (when there is a lot of rain and you feel peach somehow watery and much less Sweet than it should be), grapefruity, some lemon and grainy notes; perfectly balanced bittersweet taste with the same notes as can be felt in the aroma? ok, I cannot even recall when I've drunk such a perfect IPA! I love it!
3.9 Bottle from Beer Republic, Breda, Netherlands, consumed at home Attenkirchen, Friday 10th April 2020, sat outside, weather great, cooking Saffron and Lemon Chicken and listening to 6Music. Pours yellowy orange colour with a white head. Nice furry bitterness, sweet but also dry, some pine and citrus combination, good, proper example.
3.3 Pours hazy golden yellow with small white foam ring. Nice hoppy aroma and bitter taste. (Ermelo, 202003)
3.6 Bottle @ skum, Helsingör. Pours a golden colour beer with a smal. Fruity and hoppy with notes of caramel, dill and pine. Dry finish.
3.6 Bottle. Light amber with light haze and white head. Tastes a lot of honey, pine, juniper. Sweet with really bitter finish.
3.4 Color oro scarico, torbida con schiuma bianca fine, abbondante e persistente. Frutta tropicale
3.6 Pours clear yellow with medium white head. Pine, hops, dill, malts, nice dry and crisp. Medium body and average carbonation.

3.9 27-12-2019; bottle; at home (bought at Saveur Bière, as part of their December 2019 discovery box). The looks of the beer are nice. The beer has a nice golden amber colour. The beer has a nice haziness. On top of the beer there is some frothy white foam with average foam retention. It looks like an IPA should. The aroma of the beer is nice too. It is a lovely hoppy IPA. The malts give some biscuity notes. Quite nice. The hops are herbal and have some grassy notes. But the main aromas are that of lovely fruits. There is some zest, stone fruit, pineapple. Some mango and melon notes. Very nice, lovely bouquet of fruits and crisp hops. I like it. The taste of the beer is also nice. It has some nice sweet malts and some fruity sweets. The hops are nice and bitter, with some lovely fruity fresh notes. It is well balanced. The bitterness is strong, which suits a decent IPA. The palate is also nice. Medium body, smooth texture, medium-light carbonation. The finish of the beer has some lovely hop notes, with these full fruity notes. Also a nice touch of alcohol. Lovely beer.
3.8 On tap at Amager, pours a clear pale golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out plenty of piney hops, with a pronounced west coast bitterness, and crisp biscuity malt. Flavour is bright and bitter, with lots of piney hops, bitter pine cones, and crisp biscuity malt. Piney and bitter. Excellent.
3.8 33cl fles. Helder goudgeel van kleur, fijne romige witte schuimkraag. De geur is citrus en tropisch fruit. Smaak is zoet, droog mout, ananas en grapefruit. Medium body, veel koolzuur.
4.8 Light golden colour with low head. Good taste of tropical fruit, citrus, malt and hops. Long and dry aftertaste with marked bitterness
3.3 33 cl bottle @ home, served in a tulip glass, due date: 2020/10. Aroma: quite intense aromas of passion fruit, tropical fruits, grapefruit, citrus, fruits. Appearance: gold to light gold color with light beige to off-white head made of tiny to medium sized bubbles. High head thickness, with extremely high retention and medium lacing. Low haziness. Taste: low to medium sweetness, medium to higth bitterness, low sourness. Flavors of tropical fruits, grapefruit, citrus, pine, resin, toasted malts, caramel malts, toasted bread crust, orange. Balance is on the bitter side but malts are noticeable. Mouthfeel: low to medium body, watery to oily texture, medium carbonation, very long and very dry finish with medium to high bitterness and the same aforementioned flavors. Alcohol is well hidden in aroma and flavor and noticeable because of its mouth and throat warming. Astringency is noticeable, probably from the high charge of hops. Overall: very good appearance, good aromas and flavors of passion fruit, tropical fruits, grapefruit, citrus, pine, resin. Very dry finish. A hop bomb quite drinkable and enjoyable. Good. Probably better with less ABV and less astringency.
4.4 Love this powerfull but very unique aroma and flavor (I pick up on dill notes among others), and the intense bitter finish. One of my favorite IPAs.
3.7 330ml bottle. Pours clear golden colour, small white head. Aroma is fruity, tropical, melon, pineapple, sweet malty, medium bitter hoppy. Taste is caramelly sweet, slightly piney, medium hoppy, caramelly tropical fruits. Medium body, average carbonation. Quite nice
3.7 Fat på Amager tap room. Doftar gran och grapefrukt. Söt malt, klassisk amerikansk ipa, koda, zest.
3.6 W aromacie cytrusy, owoce tropikalne, żywica. W smaku wytrawne, wyczuwalny grejpfrut, żywica. Pijalność wysoka, smukłe, gładkie, goryczka wysoka. Ogólnie przyzwoita west coast ipa.
3.1 Tap@Sitko&Sori, Tampere, Finland. Medium, averagely balanced nuances of hoppy malts and dry fruits, some citrus and pine. A hint of mold: oxidized? Medium/narrow taste spectrum and long aftertaste with hoppy and malty fruits. Light/medium body with medium carbonation. Overall, organic and stylishly combines fruits an malts. 6 3 7 3 12
3.3 Smell of hops, spruce. Hazy amber colour, white head. Aroma of hops, spruce, a faint of earth. Lively carbon. Bitter.
3.4 Tap at Sitko & Sori. Pours cloudy golden with white head. Malts, caramel, grapefruit, herbs, fruity hops. Medium body, average carbonation, bitter finish. Original rating 8-3-8-3-15 from bottle 500ml at Konttori 2011-08-19.
3.9 Bottle, 33 cl. Pours a clear yellow with a frothy white head. Aroma is citrussy and hoppy with a little sent of anis. Taste is raw and wild and is very dominated by Americans hops, but with a nice balance to a sweet malty flavour. A weak but clearly oily mouthfeel. Long and lasting aftertaste. Medium carbonation.
A színe gyönyörű. Bravo!
4.0 Bottle @ home Clear light copper, cream head Sweet malts hoppy Very bitter with hint of coffee powder
