Amager The Sinner Series Gluttony

Amager The Sinner Series Gluttony

English:
At the Amager brewery we are comfortably situated far away from small-town modesty; we are not afraid of excess, and the term “moderation” is simply not found in our vocabulary. To us, gluttony is considered a virtue rather than a sin - at least when it comes to one thing: hops! While making this beer we targeted the hops which shone brightest in our hop room, as if they were almost begging to be used in copious quantities. And that is what we did, as befits a Double IPA of the highest caliber. We have squandered to a
sinful degree - and we love it. And we bet that you will too!

We’re not proud to be sinners, but at least we’re open about it…

4.2 Flaske, batch 1839. Let uklar lys rav gylden, let skum.
Mucho amargor. Resina en regusto y postgusto. Muy seca. Poco definida a nivel gustativo. Mucho ruido y pocas nueces.
3.8 W aromacie mango, marakuja, owoce, tropikalne, trochę cytrusów i białych owoców. Z wyglądu jasny bursztyn, piana biała, zbita, gęsta. W smaku do tropiki, dużo żywicy, słodkie z goryczkowym, grejpfrutowym finiszem. Pijalność wysoka, gładkie, alkohol schowany. Ogólnie dobra double ipa
3.5 50cl bottle, dark orange, quite cloudy. small head leaving some lacing. aroma of tropical fruits, citrus, pine and carmel, quite complex. sweetness well balanced with high bitterness. quite low carbonation
3.4 Shared at a drinking session with Višnja 666 and Pilot Goran in the summer of 2017. Thanks! Hazy golden, small off-white head. Moderately hoppy - fruity, lightly earthy, malty - both flour and flower! Mostly sweet. Medium body, soft to medium carbonation, alcohol is hidden, moderate finish. Nice, but not impressive.
4.2 Tremendous iipa, very straw-like flavour like hay and sugar, beautiful!
3.8 On tap @King Arthur (Ciampino). Ambrata scarica/dorata carica, schiuma bianca media. Corpo medio, carbonazione media. Buona.
4.1 Beautiful hazy, golden/orange body with an average white foamy/creamy head. Well balanced malty/hoppy aroma with mango, orange, and herbal hints. Alcohol is well hidden. Hoppy taste carries citrusy, herbal, and some subtle woody notes. Ends with a long, warming, bittersweet finish.
3.5 Peach, caramel, dead hops, tropical, lots of sugar. Hazy to cloudy golden color with big white head. Biscuit taste, pretty bitter, aftertaste is fruity, peachy and grassy. Medium body, average to soft carbonation. //bottle
3.9 Zapach intensywny, owoce tropikalne, sosna, żywica, karmel. Kolor pomarańczowy, mętne. Piana niska, drobna, średnio trwała, zdobi szkło. W smaku umiarkowana słodycz, średnia pełnia, owoce tropikalne, cytrusy, żywica, sosna, zioła, trawa, karmel, kwiaty, alkohol. Goryczka wysoka, wysycenie niskie.
Dejligt!
3.9 An orange beer, a head is quite big and blond. Aroma has complex tropical fruitness, peaches, caramel, some pine and hint of menthol. Taste has caramel, low tropical fruitness, strong pine and resin. Bitterness is greatly strong and that’s needed to balance the high caramel. Medium+ bodied, smooth carbonation. Lots of caramel and lots of bitterness, tasteful.
4.5 cudownie goryczkowe ,mandarynka super piwo polecam
3.7 Aromas leves frutales Buen aspecto carbonatacion media En boca balanceada, fruta madura al principio y final cítrico seco
3.8 Pours hazy amber with medium white head. Aroma is resin, spices, spruce, wooden, citrus, old couch, bitter, some foot cream. Taste is spruce, bitter, grass, resin, some fruits and citrus, hardwood, light caramel, wooden, dry, pine. Nice and spruce/pine resin bitter beer!
3.6 Hazy, amber colored, medium off white frothy head. Aroma is fruity, citrus and pine hops, medium aromatic, some malt and caramel. Taste is medium sweet malt, caramel, fruity, citrus and pine moderate hoppy aroma, medium+ bitterness, dry finish. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, oily. Like most of Amager beers that are available now in Croatia, it’s hoppy days are behind it unfortunately. (bottle, Spicy Days, Zagreb)
4.1 15cl sample. The aroma has tropical fruits and pine mainly. Bit hazy amber orange coloured beer with an off-white head. The taste is moderate-strong bitter with some malt sweetness, tropical fruits, pine. Juicy mouthfeel. Nice stuff.
3.7 Thought it would be a bit of a lark with that IBU rating but the mango, banana, citrus heavy initial taste balances out the subsequent grapefruit bitterness nicely. Nice substantial bod w/o getting overbearing. For my own subj taste I’d dial back the bitterness just a tad but you know what you’re getting into. Prolly nitpicking but the taste dichotomy could spill into each other more, they’re totally uncoupled.
4.0 From Tercertiempocervezas. In Teku glass. Watching Eurovision 2017 + playing 8Bit Adventures. Very resinous and bitter, with lots of pine, sap, grapefruit and even a detergent touch (yet not unpleasant) Sweetness and a long aftertaste
4.5 Bottle, 0.50l. Cloudy orange amber color with thick creamy off-white head, great lacing, yeast residue and soft visible carbonation. Aroma of passion fruit, pine, herbs and biscuit malt. Taste starts with sweet and rich toasted malt, following is resinous, fruity and grassy, mouthfeel is astringent, mild spicy and warming, while finish is heavy bitter with long aftertaste. Full body, thick creamy texture and soft to average carbonation in palate. My last sin, apparently saved the best for the end...
3.9 Piwo ekstremalne, tak gorzkie, że aż słodkie. Bardzo wyraziste, chmielowe tąpnięcie. Łakomstwo to mój ulubiony z grzechów głównych.
3.3 (Bottle, 0.5 l - batch 1395 - 08/2017, at Bar Bronco 3, 20170407) The beer poured amber and hazy. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had fruitiness, sweetness and malts. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were fruitiness, ripe tangerine, sweetness, coconut, malts and bitterness. Aftertaste was hoppy and bitter. A surprisingly good hoppy pale ale with strong bitterness.
3.0 Tasted on 22.01.17. Not very pleasant caramel and candy aroma, a bit fruity with not enough hoppiness. Small head disappearing to ring. Cloudy amber colour. Very intensive citrus and resin bitterness, long and tiring. Massive malty backgroud but not cloying.
3.8 Nice one, classy type of IIPA, slightly malt accent in balance with enormous hops infusion both bitter and flavor. Liked hop flavor profile- resiny, citrus, spruce. Somehow I find it in some sort of boldness, mouthfeel deficit, hence drinkability gains, but tendency of sipping shades away. But nonetheless - tasty.
Podsumowując: doskonałe, orzeźwiające i ekstremalnie nachmielone piwo.
4.3 Bottle. Slightly hazy blond appearance. Massive hop and fruit flavours that is slightly scented. An amazing combination of flavours all swirling around to produce a distinctive and superb beer. Truly outstanding.
4.2 Bottle from La Vache Folle. Hazy dark golden colour with an off white head. Nose is caramel, mango and peach, bit of pine. Very fruity. Flavour is of caramel malts, pineapple and peach, very juicy. Fairly sweet and bitter, medium-low carbonation. Finish is fruity and fairly bitter. Very pleasant.
4.2 On tap at Au Trappiste. Wonderful DIPA. Golden colour, some head. Aroma is very resiny and hoppy, dominated by west coast hops. Pine and resin dominate the aroma clearly, a bit boozy too. Flavour is way more complex, mouthfeel already starts this off as heavy and thick. Flavour itself is also very resiny and piney but is followed by also fruity and herbal notes. Finishes dry but long, with a lingering hoppy-herbal note. Wonderful.
