Amager The Sinner Series Sloth

Amager The Sinner Series Sloth

English: We’re hardworking people here at Amager Bryghus. Only once in a while are we lazy bastards. But it happens. We have to admit that we were lazy when we designed this beer. One malt, one hop – albeit a good one – and then our house yeast. Well, how hard can it possibly be to create a sessionable American Pale Ale? And that’s what we’re offering you here. Sometimes brewing is hard work. Sometimes it’s a work of art. And then sometimes it’s a walk in the park. Take a stroll, sit and relax on a park bench in the sun and be lazy with us. We promise you won’t regret it.
We’re not proud to be sinners, but at least we’re open about it…

Brewed simply from pilsener malt and Simcoe hops and fermented with an American yeast strain.

3.8 Fine tasting beer. Simple and easy drinking. No specific hop aroma. A they said, one malt one hop.
3.8 Bottle. Pours light golden with a small white head. I smell blood orange, citrus herbs and grapefruit (not bad from one hop). Medium body, quite lively, long and bitter finish. Much lovely bitterness, mostly grapefruit. For a beer they admit to being lay with, it’s still a wonderfully brewed and tasty beer.
Mal wieder Weltklasse. 0,5l Bottle von der AMAGER Brauerei in Kopenhagen. Ca.5€.
4.0 from Erzbierschof - pours a hazy golden-blond beer with a nice persistent foam left; hoppy aroma of citrus, herbs and pines; a decent malt backbone, light astringent, fairly bitter and long dry hoppy finish of straw and grapefruit
2.7 Pours a slightly hazy golden color with a medium sized off white head. The aroma and flavor have pale malts, citrus and herbal notes, hops seem a little faded, moderate bitterness, caramel.

Medium to full body with a slick texture and soft carbonation. Medium to heavy bittersweet flavor with a medium to heavy bittersweet finish of moderate to long duration. Solid drinkable brew.
3.7 bright golden, average white head, hoppy citric aroma, some malts as well, no to little sweetness, very hoppy, hay, grapefruit, very Amager-like dry bitterness, very simple in a very good way,
3.6 Pours clear golden with small white head. Aroma is hoppy with grass, citrus, peach and slightly malty with light bread and biscuit. Taste is lightly malty and hoppy with citrus, grass, straw that ends in moderate to high bitterness.
3.2 Golden color, white head. Resin nose, grass, malty, peach, orange. Malty taste, resin, lemon, moderate to high bitterness. Medium body, soft to average carbonation.
3.7 bottle @ Party Source / Bellevue KY --- Aroma of Malt and caramel. Cloudy medium/dark amber color, foamy off-white head that blows out of the bottle, strings of lace. Taste is semi-sweet malt that adds medium carbonation on the swallow, followed by clear strong floral hops in a lasting finish that finally shows the malt again at the end. Very well balanced, complex, and enjoyable.
3.9 Bottle at Strandly. Pours a clear golden with a white head. Bitter with hoppy aromas of spruce with hints of citrus fruits. Mellow notes of pale malts. Medium bodied. Medium to soft carbonation. Dry finish.
3.5 bottle: pours a cloudy straw yellow with a nice white head...piney and very fruity aroma that reminded me at times of canned fruit salad I ate as a kid and at times very tropical with mango notes dominating.....malty backbone is present but gives way to a surging rounded bitterness that lingers after the glass is put down....light body, maybe a little creaminess good carbonation....would like a little more maltiness but I’ll definitely drink this again
3.6 0.5 bottle. Delicately hazy, gold color and a large, white head. A very strong aroma of hops, pines, citruses, mango, grass, and a bit of strawberry. Taste of hops, hay, grass, pines, grains, and a hint of fruits. A medium body, a creamy texture, and an average carbonation. Finish is medium long, bitter but not to a fault. Overall the beer is as simple as promised, but certainly well-balanced and pleasant.
3.7 Bottle. Pours nearly clear golden with airy but stable white head. Clear aroma of hops and citrus, with fruity and estery notes. Bitter, hoppy flavour with notes of grass and citrus and sweetish touches of malt, fruit and yeast. Lingering, bitter, hoppy aftertaste with estery hints. Medium to high carbonation. Decent.
3.6 Crystal clear golden with a fine frothy white head and good lacings. Aromas of pineapple, grapefruit, passion fruit, green mango, some straw and light earthy notes develop. Fine carbonation, light slick, medium body. Brisk sweetness with a passion fruit, pineapple hop note, drying out on the finish. A quaffer!
3.5 Blond colour, little oxidation. middle thick texture. A lot of hops and bitterness. A bit too much yest taste.
3.6 A good pale ale. Nice aroma and a good hoppy flavor. Pours a clear golden hue. Pretty good.
3.7 Pours hazy yellow with a small white head. Aroma is crisp hoppy and citrusy. Crisp hoppy and smooth fruity. Bitter and dry hoppy. Solid and crisp hoppy finish.
3.7 Tap @ Fermentoren, Aarhus. Light hazy pour with a frothy head. Notes of grapefruit, stone fruit, pine needles, light caramel with a medium bitterness.
