Amstel Light

Amstel Light

A special light beer containing only 3.5% alcohol and approximately 35% fewer calories than regular lager beer. But every bit as thirst-quenching and refreshing.
Alcohol varies between different US states. In the Netherlands it is 3.5%

1.7 The Aromas are pale malt, wet grain, stereotypical pale lager characteristics. Flavors are like nose, more sweet with a hint bitter and some carbonation to balance. Very little going on. Also very boring. This is another one of the beers that I've rated in the past and somehow ratebeer has canceled my former review.
1.8 Can at BA flight to Barbados, 4th April 19. Pours clear, aroma is muted, lagerish. Taste is hay, dull, refreshing, I suppose, malt in the linger. Basic
2.6 Amber with rich white creamy. Everything as for normal good but boring lager. Not bad, bit in no way one of those to remember.
1.2 Have had several times. Clear straw yellow with a grainy aroma. Slightly better than some of their competitors but still just a high quantity option.
1.3 Pours clear pale yellow with a nonexistent head. Light carbonation. Aroma of sweet malt. Taste is malty, slight barley taste on the back of the tongue. Palate is almost nonexistent, slight acidic mouthfeel......not great.
1.7 Clear light-golden pour with half-inch of white foam that fades to a ring quickly. Smell is not actually awful - sweet malt and grassy notes with a slight metallic tinge. Flavor is minimal - very barely detectable but same notes as the nose. Finish is weak too, and with a mild earthy bitter. Lightest beer I've had in many years, but someone left them from a holiday party so why not try one?!
2.0 Bottle 33cl. Aroma is light taste is light and aftertaste is very light. Nice on warm days but nothing special.
2.5 Can see how, at some point, this was an exotic "import" due to its sharper, maltier, even slightly hoppy flavor compared to the US macros, but as far as PLs go it's rusty weak watery meh, bottled or not (U. Chicago event, 12 oz--not 11.2!--bottle)
1.7 330ml can. Pours a pale yellow with a small, foamy, short lived, white head that leaves spotty lacing. Faint aroma of grainy pale malt, lemon and skunky hops. Mild, sweet flavour of corn, rice and faint lemon with a dry, mildly bitter metallic finish. Light body with a thin, watery texture and soft carbonation. Easy drinking, but not very appealing.
3.4 Fles thuis geprobeerd.
2.0 This is borderline swill, actually I guess it is swill, but not that bad of a beer. It's an oldie classic. I didn't know it was THIS light.....3.5%. I'll usually order this at a restaurant if they don't have Heineken/Corona (or better of course) or something similar to that. A better alternative to Bud/Coors/Miller. Has an light amber/gold color. A decent drinkable light beer.
1.1 This tastes of cardboard. But its Dutch cardboard, which is a small blessing. Where I live, this is about the only light beer available. Until today, when I discovered Coors light, and my world improved beyond measure.
5.0 Good imported beer. Always has been one of my favorites Light and refreshing. Cheers.
2.6 Bottle 12 ounce poured to tulip glass very cold beer Sight: Golden amber light yellow head, big white foam Smell: Aroma of malt Taste: low bitterness, some sweetness Mouth feel: good carbonation, sudden drop, bready Overall: good beer, not to repeat look for
4.5 has a strong flavor.. malty taste i think
1.5 Pours pale yellow gold with an almost clear head. Aroma is thin beer smell. Flavour is thin as well with a watery body. Ugh. Finish is beer.
2.1 330ml Flasche. Klar und golden mit mit minimaler Schaumkrone. Getreidegasse. Wässrig. Leichter Körper. Mild.
1.8 330ml bottle Gold color with slight head and OK carbonation. Grainy aroma. Quite sweet, thin body and not much in the way of bitterness. Thirst quencher only.
2.4 Light ultra clear gold color with a whispy head of soapy white foam. Very light water cracker flavor and aroma with a touch of skunk. Brisk and crisp but very light on character.
2.2 Clear yellow beer with small white head. Aroma is light malty and grass and some artificial notes. Taste is light sweet, thin feel, watery. Also little bitter in the end. Typical lager.
1.9 Pours a pale yellow colored body with a white frothy head. Aroma is light but with classic pilsner notes. Malts, grain and cardboard. Taste is light and thin. Sweetness followed by little bitterness. Not too bad for a light beer.
2.8 Bottle. Strong malty aroma. Medium bodied with a little sweetness on the back end. Ok mass produced light lager.
1.8 Bottle. Aroma not so bad. Very slight malt flavor. Weak body weak finish. Have had better light beers.
2.4 Can aboard British Airways flight. Pours golden with large white head. Malty lager with some metallic notes. But this is ok for mass produced lager actually.
2.6 Bottle to glass at Konami grill, pours a clear pale golden with a large white head. Yeast and malt aroma, some grassy hops. Light malt flavor faint grassy hops. Pretty flavorless, not bad on a hot patio.
1.7 Bottle. Never rated this, probably because I don’t want to remember drinking this. It’s malty, sweet and a bit artificial. Just bad and somewhat unpleasent if not cold enough.
