New England IPA.
On a recent exploration trip to the southern most tip of Africa we met up with the like minded guys at Devil's Peak Brewing Co, and immediately decided to make a beer together. Chuggernaut is a reincarnation of both our flagship beers moulded into one, so chuggable it will blow your mind with a total hop overload, tropical, juicy and hazy. Chuggernaut pairs best with sun, shades and lazy days.

3.9 Amundsen Chuggernaut 4.7%. Cloudy golden, tropical fruit aroma, full bodied, peach, pineapple, citrus, grapefruit. Lovely NEIPA from Oslo, Norway 🇳🇴
3.3 Can 440ml (Humala) Hazy yellow colour, small white head. Grass, citrus, riped fruits in the nose. Light-bodied. Citrus, tropical fruits, some juicyness. Ok, standard.
3.6 440ml can from M&S Edinburgh. Small white head, decent lacing. Hazy pale golden body. Soft fruity nose, peach, lemon, orange. Flavour is lemon, grapefruit, pineapple. Gentle bitterness on the aftertaste. Medium carbonation, soft mouthfeel but a jaggy fizz. Refreshing, easy drinking, good IPA.
3.5 Puszka. Mętne o jasnym, żółtym kolorze. Piana biała, średnia opada powoli. W zapachu i smaku owoce tropikalne z naciskiem na ananasa i żółtego melona, w tle grejpfruty. Jak dla mnie wszystko poszło w kierunku cytrusów. Goryczka średnia, wysycenie również. Fajne ale bez przesady... Powiększania stawu dzień pierwszy
3.7 Hazy deep straw coloured, with a bubbly white head and a fruity aroma, mostly citrus but with hints of pineapple. Fresh and zesty, with a light body and a tropical fruit flavour and nice citrusy bitterness, and a slightly tart finish
3.8 Can. 4.7%. Best before 31.07.21. Pours a hazy/milky straw yellow, with a dishwash-y white head. Decent lacing. Exotic fruit, citrusy, floral, hop aroma, a bit juicy. Flavour is the same, sweetish, and a bit more orange-y than the aroma. Hint of old/cheesy hops. Bitter hop finish, a bit dry. A bit tart, zesty. Overall good. Somewhat generic, but well-made and -balanced. 09.02.21.
3.1 44 cl. can at home. Bought at Fish-n-Beer Copenhagen. Medium high flufy lasting white head. Hazy yellow body. Sweet tropical fruit aroma and flavor with a nice amount of hops bitterness and a long sweet finish.
3.3 Can from m&s. Nose is lychee, citrus, very short lasting. Taste is lemony, slight dank, medicinal hops, onion, mineral, faint pineapple. Little body or bite. My review seems wildly different than others below. I wonder if I've had a bad can.
3.6 Hazy yellow with a loose head and a bright tropical nose with hints of funky onion. Initially hoppy-dry, then fruity and juicy-dry. Very nice.
3.8 Can. Completely cloudy yellow pour with small white head. Aroma has fresh citrus and flowers. Taste is fresh with even more citrus. Mild with light body. Average carbonation
3.7 Tropical citrus aroma in a hazy yellow gold pour. Hop forward balance with zesty citrus body and pithy bitter finish. Aptly named indeed.
3.5 Can 44 cl. Pours a cloudy, pale yellow - like a Wit Bier - with a small, white head. Amazing and intense tropical aromas. Light-bodied but not watery, dry fruitiness a lot of grapefruit but the bitterness is subdued. Jam packed with flavors for such a small beer. Lovely. 261120

3.4 Can from Marks & Spencer, Manchester. Hazy blonde with a head. Has a carbonated tropical fruitiness with plenty of different citrus, peach and perfume, coupled with a sweetness edging towards milkshake in design.
3.0 Aroma is gooseberry, lemon, exotic spice. Taste is fresh, grapefruit. Some gasoline notes in the aftertaste.
4.0 Robe jaune légèrement trouble, fine mousse blanche qui finit rapidement par disparaître. Nez citron, citron vert, pêche, fruit de la passion. Bouche moyennement amère, citron, mandarine, pêche, léger sucre. Carbo légère, corps moyen, belle longueur. Bière très fruitée, légère, agréable et rafraîchissante.
3.6 Lots of grapefruit and some pineapple, a bit too watery with some unwanted residual sweetness in the finish.
3.4 440ml can. Pours hazy lemon gold with a small head. Aroma is pineapple, papaya and lemon. Taste has stare and papaya, a little bit of lemon.
3.6 Can from Marks and Spencer’s. Pours hazy light lemon with a white head. Aroma of orange & lemon zest ,mango ,pine & melon. Taste of more orange zest,pineapple,melon & some bitter lemon. Very Light bodied with a softish well carbonated mouthfeel. The bone dry & bitter with more orange, pine, melon & lemon.

3.4 Burk från systembolaget. Gyllengul öl med vitt skum. Fruktig och humlig med fina toner av passionsfrukt och grapefrukt. Torr avslutning.
4.1 Can from Systembaolget. A really fresh hazy ipa that was drunk out in the freezing fjäll. Sure beer is even better out of the fridge.
3.9 0,44 l bottle from Systembolaget Enköping. Really good sauna beer in my mind, refreshing and hoppy enough but not too strong
3.6 Canned, 440ml from Beer52, Edinburgh. Murky orange with white head. Tropical fruit aromas on opening which follows on into the beer. Pineapple and tangerine flavours to the for, juicy orange, juicy mango. Fuller on the palate. Very good.
3.7 Farge: Matt, lys gul med fint, hvitt skum Aroma: Tropisk med ananas, grapefrukt, mango, barnåler og noe laktose Smaker: De samme elementene følger i smaken. Mye tropisk med ananas og mango som leder an, så sitrusfrukter med mandarin før grapefrukten kommer med furunål mot slutten. Fin sødme uten at laktosen er markant, men ananas og mandarinen ligger som søtstoff. Noe tørr avslutning pga grapefrukten. En pale ale hybrid mellom øst- og vestkyst Ipa-stilene, da den får de fine sydhavsfruktene, men også en raus bitterhet. Lettdrikkelig og leskende i disse dager.
3.4 @ Havregatan 20200829. Can (440 ml) from Systembolaget. Fruity, hoppy and citrusy with peach, medium body with an oily texture. The finish is dry, bitter and fruity.
3.2 @ Gammelgårdsvägen 22/8-20. Can from Systembolaget. Fruity and hoppy with citrus and tropical fruits. Body is medium, dry finish.
3.2 Can from Systembolaget. Hazy light yellow with a white head. Mild with passionfruit, some citrus, light hops and some zest. The bitterness was low.
3.6 Hazy yellow colour, fluffy head. Aroma: hops, citrus, tart, grapefruit, caramel, fresh fruits, pine. Taste: citrus, malt, some hops, grassy bitterness, hint of mango. Fresh, yet a full creamy mouthfeel with a fresh carbonation and aftertaste.
