3.6 Caged and corked bottle. Christmas gift from Mrs. Ozzy. Poured light hazed golden/straw, thin white head. Aroma of Chardonnay, wine, funky/brett, sour fruit, yeast. Taste was sweet, tart, sour, fruity, tropical, yeast, pepper, spice,
3.6 This is a backlog rating from 2012 from a bottle shared by Tmoney99, from notes. When I had this beer it was average to below average for the style and not something I wanted to have again or I just didn't get back to my notes because of my technology at the time, work and/or family. Words to describe this beer are sweet malts, oaky, Brett, funk, floral, good.
3.9 Bottle. Poured a slightly hazy golden color with a thin sized head. Wood / oak, funky, some tart fruits, citrus, and yeast.
3.7 28-09-19 // tap at Mon Petit Cafe Suttgart on Zwanze Day 2019. unclear golden with a white head. Heavy brett. Strong tripel body. Wineous characters and dry tartness with fruit touches.
3.8 As our time was ticking, I had to try this since it is in my favorite style of beers. Nice, yet the combination is not making it for me.
3.7 Draft at the brewery. Pours hazy gold with a bubbly white head. Tastes like tart fruit, wine, yeast, and cracker malt. Light body and low carbonation. Smells like tart fruit, wine, yeast, and cracker malt.
4.3 Draft @ VanMoll, Eindhoven. Almost clear golden ale, big foamy white head. Complex bretted-up medium acidic and dry triple, lots of citric white grapes, vanilla oak, light bitter: pleasantly balanced with big flavours still. Medium-high carbonation.
3.7 Bottle. batch 6. Just hazy gold with a lovely dense white head that fades to a coat. Aroma of lime, grapes, bracken, dough, peppery oak - I would have guessed Riesling barrel, but I guess that's Sorachi Ace. As always, it's great if it doesn't dominate. It's edging up when you get to the taste though: there's little malt presence, it's all hops, funk and even a lick of sourness. What I would have loved as nuance is made far too much of. Good but lacks restraint.
4.2 375ml bottle from TW. Hazy golden orange with a thin off-white head. Wine grapes, oak barrel, grassy sour citrus, earth, Belgo sices. Zesty carb, full body. Finishes tart, funky, dry, slightly acidic. Delicious.
4.2 Fajnie belgijsko i bretowo. Wygląd spoko, lekko zamglony. W smaku super, jest nafta, gładko, lekko kwasek, brety jest super.
3.8 37,5cl Bottle @ Beer Republic, Breda, Netherlands. Hazy golden colour with a thin white head. Aroma is yeast, brett, citrus. Taste is yeast, brett, citrus, oak, tart, hints of white wine. Medium body, average carbonation.
5.0 Acquired at Gerrard’s Market for $15.99, The Tide and Its Takers is a triple with Brettanomyces crafted by Anchorage Brewing Company. The air yields yeast, chardonnay, funk, vanilla, and lemon as you drink. The appearance is a hazy gold with a low white head. The alcohol content is 9%. Lemon is soft and sours the mouthfeel along with a latent acidity. Chardonnay accentuates the sour sensation and compliments the lemon. Belgian yeast gives the complexion a light creamy tone. White grapes offers a wholesome white wine touch to the mouthfeel. Vanilla is sensible with the yeasty tone. Brettanomyces yeast creates a faint funk to the comprehension and fully experienced in the slightly dry finish. Oak is tangible with the chardonnay. Styrian Golding and Saaz hops bring out the lemon and white grapes characters. The Tide and Its Takers is an excellent triple. The Brettanomyces funk, light lemon, and chardonnay culminate into a heavenly beer. The chardonnay barrel aging is the star as the funk plays second fiddle. I enjoyed this brew a lot. Dive into this beer and let the tide overcome your senses. Cheers. Prost. Drink for the love of beer. For more beer reviews, visit and like my blog “Drink For the Love of Beer.”
3.2 Aroma ha frutta dolce, vino bianco, scorza di agrumi, pompelmo, alcune mele verdi acide, più dolce che aspro. Il gusto ha frutta dolce, vino bianco, scorza di agrumi
3.5 23Feb2019 Funky grain and cereal malts, bittersour citrus fruits, orange peel, acetone. Hazy gold, small, creamy, white head. Light sour. More sour citrus fruits, lime and lemon peel, wood, wet straw, soft carbonation, medium bodied. Interesting. Keg at The Bottle Shop, Bermondsey.
4.1 Keg at the hanging bat. Pours golden, nose is pickled onion, funk, oak, gooseberry, citrus, taste is chewy, oak, coconut, funk, sharp citrus, tart finish.
3.8 On keg at the Hanging Bat. Appearance - amber with some lacing. Nose - this is very Flemish red/brown. Woody, funky sour with slightly vinous edge to it. Taste - more wood, vinous sour thing and general funkiness. Palate - tangy sour and long. Tight in texture. Overall - very nice. No way this is an Abbey Tripel, mind.
3.5 Keg at the bottle shop druid Street. A light hazed golden orange coloured pour a fading white head. Aroma is bug solvent alcohol, musty funk, white grape. Flavour is tangy canned pineapple, musty funk, grape, oily, paraffin, pithy lemon and some grapefruit. Ok. Nout special. Little woody oxidised white grape.
3.8 On tap at hopaholic. Hazy yellow colour small white lacing. Nose is fermented, bretty, lightly acetone. Taste is low bitterness, low sourness. Light acetone in the taste as well. Nice rotyi and still tripel like, shame its a bit solventy.
3.8 Bottle, Legacy. Bit hazy, thin head. There's a lot of brett on the nose, nice floral accents, and still a touch of that pale malt left over. Soft pale malts, light brett - maybe other bugs? The palate seems so easy-going.
3.4 Corked bottle from The Gull, North Vancouver Hazy blond colour with no head. Strong smell of acetone, light fruit. Good body strength, moderately sour, it definitively has some acetone, some spicy yeast character, some piney hops. Good flavour, but it's also flawed (acetone).
2.6 375ml bottle at Alex's. Appearence: hazy golden Aroma: nail polisher with some fruity notes Taste: similar, very acidic with tones of bretts Overall: harsh, not elegant, badly balanced, with lots of stuff going around including off-flavours. It is not good at all.
4.5 Pours golden blond with a very small white head. Aroma of citrus, grapefruit and white grapes. Flavour is grapefruit, citrus and wood. Very good barrel. Sticky like a sour but refreshing as a saison.

Bomba.
4.2 Danke an Drnosha,Trübes gelb schaum is im Ordnung, im Geruch apfelmost Säure schöne Vanille Tonka Bohne kräuterig, im Geschmack eine schöne Säure recht weich, Vanille apfelmost leicht malzig würzig, echt lecker
4.5 750ml Flasche. Collab mit Dogfish Head. Sanft trübes gelbes Bier, weisser Schaum. Apfel und Most Duft. Dazu Vanilleschote. Der Geschmack überrascht mit runder Süsse. Cassis und rote Johannisbeere, Stachelbeere, Kräuter, Hefe. Wunderbar runder Geschmack.
3.9 Hazy amber/gold color; Medium body; Aroma of yeast/brett, fruit/floral, chardonnay, & some funk; Flavor of sweet malt, yeast, some oak, vinous fruit, light hops, and some spice; Dry finish; Nicely balanced; Great aroma - well made with nice vinous notes.
4.2 Bottle. Pours hazy golden with a white head. Aroma of yeast, tropical, good flowery brett - flowery, slight spice flowery alike, tangerine. Dry and tangerine, good flowery brett, slight wooden dryness. Just lovevly.
