Andechser Vollbier Hell

Andechser Vollbier Hell

A product of traditional multiple mashing, Andechser Vollbier Hell presents a bright straw yellow and clear gleaming look that cannot fail to fascinate.

Its head is firm and fine pored. Its aroma is pure and fresh from the cellar, with soft malty accents imbued with floral hoppiness.

Its light and soft body leaves a pleasant, tangy taste in the mouth. The mild sweetness marries well with the velvety bitterness of the hops. It concludes on a rounded, harmonious note.

Andechser Vollbier Hell is therefore a classical Bavarian Vollbier (11.5% original extract and 4.8% alcohol by volume).

3.2 "Andechser Hell", Flasche von Getränke Hoffmann, Berlin. - Helles Goldgelb, blank. (19.2.2022.)
3.2 Smell of malt, grass. Golden colour, white head. Aroma of bread, grass, hops. Medium bitter, lightly sweet. Fizzy carbon.
3.9 Bottle from Total Wine. Excellent beer, and badly underrated here. Beautiful Helles. Gently sweet, not overly roasted, hints of apple but just hints, amazingly creamy and smooth, powerful flavors, all at under 5%. Fantastic even bottled from a venue not known for exceptional freshness.
2.5 Bottle from Betony in Kouvola. Tiny but lingering white lace. Clear spanking yellow color. Much DMS aroma, abit of funkyness and pale maltiness. Pale malty taste. Balanced body and bitterness.
3.7 500 ml. stamped “L0531” so maybe bottled end of May? Clear, brass colored brew with a big drippy head that slowly settles to a lasting film. Nose has lightly toasted whole grain bread, honey, grass and a touch of lemon balm. Flavors of the same plus a bit of apple, and then nutty grain and wood in the finish. Near-medium mouthfeel with medium-plus fizz and an easy drinking balance.
2.6 Pours clear jonquil with a thick and frothy eggshell head. Aroma gives crips malt and a hint of apple. Flavor presents more malt, more apple, a bit of resiny hops, a little sweetness. Texture offers fair fizz and body. Nicht schlecht.
3.2 Large foamy white head left a thin cover in a slowly carbonating straw coloured body. Malt, bitter & grain aroma. Medium bodied, sharp with softer cloying back. Bitter, fruity, malt, biscuit & stone fruit tastes with a tangy finish. Deece.
3.8 500ml bottle, online from Maison du Biere in Yorkshire. Pours clear golden with a decent white head. Aroma: sweet, grains, bread, floral, hay. Taste: light to moderate sweet and bitter with notes of grains, bread, grass. Medium bodied with spritzy carbonation. Tidy.
3.3 Clear yellow colour, white foam. Bready, malty, light sweet, some very light bitterness. Well balanced. Easy drinkable.
3.8 A golden light tasting beer, very easy drinking. I would definitely buy again.
3.8 Golden and clear.Pored with a small head. Quite sweet and rather a good example of this style. My only criticism is that it could do with toning the carbonation down a bit. Apart from that it this is very good.
3.6 Bright straw colored, malty aroma with medium light body and very slight hop flavor. Clean finish with no bitterness. Nice clean light refreshing beer.
3.4 Pure classic example of the style. A very nice showcase of pilsner malt and decoction mashing. Edeka hamburg
4.8 Straw colored, slightly bread fruit. One of the best

3.8 July 30th, 2016 Here's a beer I wish I could have enjoyed while lounging on a hay bale somewhere in the Belgian countryside. That's partially because it both looks the part, and smells a little like hay, with a wafting aroma of bread and wet dog. That alone paints a beautiful rural picture, but there's also some richness in the aroma of wet flour or pizza dough and pretzel, but fresh and full of life, like a block of Irish sod. The body is medium-light, with a semi-sweet flavor featuring cashew, honey and white grape. And the wet hay returns with wet stone in the finish, rounding out the night-at-the-farm flavor, sipping on golden grains next to animals stabled for the evening.
3.4 Bottle at home, 23rd December 2020. Pours a clear straw colour, big head. Aroma is malt, straw and hay. Taste is refreshing, straw, hay, grass, mellow, slight bitter. It’s OK, not the greatest in the style
3.4 Keg Haket 2020-11-10 Göteborg AR: bready , bread syrup AP: clear coppery, no head F: bready , bread syrup
3.8 L0200 on the label. Pours a sparkling bright and clear gold with a smallish head of foam. Smells malty, somewhat hoppy, a little fruity, with some notes of bread. Bready malt taste, some light hop bitterness, semisweet, clean and refreshing. Medium body and carbonation. Wonderful refreshing beer!
2.8 Light with smell and taste with hint of vanilla. Light amber when poured with slight head.
3.9 Fresh tasty malty and light hops in this beautiful helles. You can't get any simpler and nicer than this. Sometimes the simple things in life happen to be the great ones.
3.9 Bottle from Beers Of Europe. Pours a clear golden colour with a medium sized throthy white head. Aromas of grains, hay, straw with hints of white bread. Taste is more of the same notes again. Medium bodied with a very smooth buttery mouthfeel. Very fresh and flavourful lager. No off flavours at all. One of the best Helles i have tried. Great beer.
3.5 Draught at Akkurat. Clear golden liquid with medium egg shell white head. Aroma of bread, earthy hops, light grain, flowers and hay. Taste is light sweet and light to medium bitter with notes of bread, floral hops and bread. Medium bodied with medium carbonation. Nice!
3.2 Bottle from Appellation Wines. Pours clear golden with a short-lived thin white head. Aromas of grain and light lemon. Taste is cooked corn and sweet pale malt. Slightly thin. OK.
3.9 Bottle from Hops and Crafts Exeter. Pours clear light gold with a white head. Aroma of lemon, pepper, bread & some hay . Taste of more lemon, doughy bread, hay, pepper & biscuit. Light bodied with a smooth mouthfeel & ok carbonation. The finish is dry and bittersweet with more lemon, bread, hay, pepper & biscuit. Nice one !
3.0 A 500ml bottle from Little Leeds Beer House & brought home to Jersey. Pours an amber colour with a small white head. Aromas & tastes of flora, grains, hay, bread & hints of yeast. Medium body & carbonation. Soft bitter finish. Somewhat disappointing.
5.0 WHAT A GREAT BEER. BEST I'VE HAD FOR A LOMNG TIME
2.8 0.5 l bottle from local 'Trink & Spare', best before January 2021. Clear, golden with a thin, frothy, stable, white head. Sweetish, slightly malty and a little floral aroma of grains, light butter and a touch of hay. Slightly sweet, moderately bitter, a little floral taste of grains, some hay and traces of butter as well as vanilla, followed by a short, moderately bitter, minimally grassy-spicy finish. Medium body, smooth and slightly effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Average Helles, fairly unspectacular but quite drinkable.
