3.7 Has potential to be slightly better....only complaint is that I wanted a deeper-richer flavor and texture. On the thinner side for a stout, but just makes it easier to drink!! Nice chocolate and oatmeal flavors, caramel malts, etc. I wanted a little more hops also, but that would make this into a porter I guess. Appearance is about as good as it gets, dark black with mocha head. A little creamier textured and this would be perfect appearance and mouthfeel. Another good beer from Cali, but sorry to say with so many out there, that it may be forgettable.
3.3 Black beer, thin head. Malty chocolate aroma. Tastes of creamy chocolate, a little dry malt, a little hop. A bit watery in the aftertaste which is disappointing but it has decent enough body and has a nice enough flavour.
3.8 Such a nice little American stout, creamy and drinkable, lovely notes of cocoa, coffee, raisin, cherry, and roast with a modest bitterness on the fade. Can’t believe I haven’t tried this before now. Tasty.

5.0 Very dark and full bodydied. But smooth and tasty. Has an aroma of coffee, freshly baked bread, and raisins.
3.4 Aroma of coffee, chcolate, liquorice and hints of vanilla and soy sauce. Almost black with a tan head. Medium + sweet and medium bitter. Medium + body with average carbonation. Overall a decent Stout, but a bit on the boring side. Would like a little bit more roasted flavours to balance it better.
3.2 22 oz bomber poured into a pint glass. A deep dark terrific looking stout. Taste? Well, this is what's perplexing. Something is missing and just what that is missing remains a mystery. That said, try this stout yourself and see what you think. It's a grand stout, was just wishing for more. Ps. Glad the boiling hot temperatures of summer are gone and that it's time to drink porters and stouts again!
3.2 Beetje dun, btj gebrand, wat zoetigheid, vleugje koffie, de volle oatmeal proef je wel terug.. Leuk bier om de smaak papillen mee op te warmen!
2.7 Really not a fan of this beer. The initial taste is rather sweet, there's a moment of good flavor, and then it fades into a bad aftertaste that seems closer to a watered-down cheap pale ale. Did not feel inclined to even finish an entire bottle of this. My partner enjoyed the sweet taste more than I did but agreed on the taste that lingers.
3.1 Interesting US stout. Some smokiness, but not overwhelming. Balanced and enjoyable.
3.5 Pours up black in the glass, with a small tan head that didn't last. Aroma is malty, slightly smoky, some chocolate, oats, roasted malt. Taste is moderately sweet, chocolate, molasses, bit roasted malt, milky, nutty. A slight bitterness on the finish. Medium bodied, soft carbonation. Really not bad on tap.
3.0 From Decervecitas. In Ikea's pint glass. Playing Avernum 3. No foam. Not bad, but has some acidness and veggie notes that dont seem right. Bought on Feb 2017. Probably became too old. Has no bbf date
Könnyű, közepesen szénsavas, enyhén keserű, amit csak a pörkölés ad. Könnyed ivósör.
3.0 Pours brown from the bottle. The head fizzes away almost immediately. Aroma is roasted grain, chocolate milk, and a vague berry tang. Taste is sweet with a light sourness at the finish. Body is medium to light, texture a bit watery. Okay.
4.0 From a can to a glass. Pours a dark brown looks black in the glass. with a big fizzy frothy tan head. Aroma is milk chocolate and Vanilla roasted malt. Taste follows the aroma with some dark fruit notes in the sip and some mild hop bitterness aswel. Medium to heavy mouthfeel. Very nice Stout!
3.8 35.5cl bottle at Cafe de koffer in Groningen. Pours a jet black colour with a big soapy beige brown head. Aroma of milk chocolate, roasted malt, toffee, caramel, coffee liquor, slight mocca, coffee. Taste is medium sweet, moderate bitter with a moderate dry finish. Notes of roasted malt, leather, dark malt, tobacco, hop resin, toffee, caramel. Texture is watery, light bodied with moderate to soft carbonation
3.2 Can from Hops and Crafts Exeter. Pours dark ruby near black with a beige head . Aroma of chocolate ,mocha, raisin, brown bread ,nuts & some citrus . Taste chocolate, leather a little raisin & tired coffee but not much else, sadly a pretty bland stout. On the light side of medium bodied smooth thin feeling mouthfeel,ok carbonation. The finish is more chocolate & leather but not much else apart from a light dryness. Disappointing!
3.0 (nez cassis-pomme intéressant, bouche légère, torréfié, fruit noir, finale café, avoine, chanvre, trop h2o)

3.4 Kinda plain, wouldn’t buy it again. If you like plain stouts and are into creamy but not much flavor, you might like it. If you like big flavor profiles, choose another. Maybe without the word “flat” in the name.
3.5 Fles 35,5cl thuis. Engelse drop, gebrande mout, bitters, koffie, chocolade. Beetje dun. (8-2015).
3.8 Bottle from Nobell. Pours dark black colour with no head, aroma of coffee, chocolate, figs, quite burnt. Taste is of roasted malt, coffee, dark chocolate, little sour, medium bitterness, long dry finish. Getting better with every sip.
3.2 12 fl oz bottle. Appearance is jet black with a generous topping of tan froth which recedes quite quickly. Aromas come across strongly of dark chocolate and cocoa over roasted dark malts. Taste is again strongly chocolatey and malty, moderate sweetness dominant, but with light bitter as well. A smooth brew with nice creamy mouthfeel, thanks to the oatmeal malts.
3.4 Bottle @ home. Black colour with a small offwhite head. Smells very roasty, a bit harsh. Tastes chocolate bitterness, roasty, a bit harsh and dry also. Medium body, soft carbo.
3.5 zapach przyjemny, złożony, bogaty, popiół, nuty palone, ciemny karmel, praliny, gorzka czekolada, rum, melasa. kolor czarny, nieprzejrzysty, piana brązowa, skąpa, szybko znika. w smaku pełne, palone, praliny, gorzka czekolada, melasa, trochę śliwki, popiół i palone drewno. goryczka umiarkowana, palona, lekki alkohol, gorzka czekolada. w ustach dość pełne. nasycenie niskie
3.8 Barwa ciemnorubinowa, klarowne. Piana koloru kawy z mlekiem, o średnich pęcherzykach, niezbyt trwała. W aromacie słodowość, lekka kawa. W smaku wytrawne, lekko kwaskowe od słodów palonych, niska goryczka. Oleiste, nisko wysycone.
4.0 Not an overly heavy stout. Dark brown, a little sweetness on the finish. Good one.
