3.4 Copper color with mild vanilla aroma. Slightly sweet and caramel flavor with a crisp, creamy finish.
3.5 Can. It pours Amber color with a quickly disipating off-white head. The aroma is caramel and vanilla. The taste is mildly sweet. Malty and well balanced.
3.0 From Jul 2008 I got this bottle in a trade with Wasatch. Thanks John! A slightly hazy red amber with a 1" head of foam that shrinks to a fine layer quickly. Some lacing on the side of my glass. The smell has some caramel sweetness along with a slight citric bitterness. Not a strong nose but pretty good. The taste is on the sweet side. I'm getting notes of caramel, some biscuit, a nutty touch, and an earthy finish. It's a light mouthfeel and the carbonation is medium. Not a bad tasting brew and heaven knows I don't have a lot of experience with Cream Ales but...this is not one that I'd seek out. Just too average to my palate.
2.7 zapach dość kwaśny, czerwone owoce, lekki burak, karmel, wanilia, słodka śmietana, lekka woda spod kiszonej kapusty, truskawka, guma balonowa. kolor miedziano bursztynowy, lekko opalizujący, piana biała, skąpa, szybko znika. w smaku pełne, karmel, czerwone owoce, słodka śmietanka, trochę nut kwaśnych i dzikich, lekka stajnia i siano. goryczka niska, przyprawowa i karmelowa. w ustach dość pełne i przyjemne. nasycenie umiarkowane.
2.0 Not a huge fan of this beer. Far too sweet for my tastes. Vanilla and bright fruity ness. A little sweet bread but too little to balance it out. Tried for the first time in 2011.
3.5 One of the most unique brews we have tasted. Like an alcoholic cream soda. Not a crushable beer but smooth and memorable. Reveiwed - A Brew With You, Ep. 93
3.4 Bread crust nose. Clear amber, medium head, nice lace. Pecan, bread, subtle caramel.
3.2 Easy going beer and yep definitely has a creamy soft palate feel. Ultra smooth and broad but not commercial stupid. Some funky tang back palate which, based on commercial descriptors, shouldn’t be there. Mild fault perhaps or maybe the herbs? Adds some complexity no doubt.
2.7 Bottle. Notes of hazelnut, caramel, spice, bread and malt. Spiced bread and a slight hue of heat. Rough around the edges.
2.6 Appearance is hazy amber with a medium white head. Aroma is somewhat sweet. Taste is creamy and sweet like cream soda. Overall just OK.
4.7 The absolute most refreshing beer to have on a hot summer day. Bar none. Tastes like cream soda. It’s amazing. All you "Hop Heads" can stay away.
3.6 Slightly dark clear copper with a thin ivory cap. Lovely sweet nose of orange creme and sweet ole malt and cereal tones. Sweet cereal tone that also has some orange creamsicle nuances. Plain but semisweet malty and kinda tasty.
2.6 This is quite strange. Caramel, citrus, and spices. It’s herbaceous and kind of sweet. There’s very little bitterness, yet it’s not overly sweet. There’s a lot going on and it never quite comes together. An okay summer beer, but even then, I would be far more tempted by other offerings.
3.1 It pours amber with orange tinges. The head is white with tinges of orange. It has a grainy sweet aroma, spice and orange. It has a sweet flavor with grain, orange, citrus, and spices. The sweetness flavoring comes throughout the taste experience. It feels a bit syrupy with a moderately light body.
3.0 On tap at Evernote in Redwood City, CA. Aroma is earthy spice (maybe some cinnamon), mild maltiness. Taste is mild lemony / herbal bitterness with some crisp carbonation. Not much going on here though.
3.2 Bought a six pack of cans a couple weeks ago and let’m sit in one of the beer refrigerators until just now. Poured from a can into a tumbler. A nice, clean aroma. A warm, rusted orangee of colorings. Taste-wise: a background of creme soda, citrus sweet and, again, cream soda. Overall, enjoyable.
3.3 From draft @ Taps KL. Pours dark amber brown and a thin off white head. Aroma of malts and nuts. Flavors of light malt, walnut, and herbs. Light sweet gum flavors. Interesting but somewhat strange marriage of flavors. Something different but a bit watery. Light sweetness and body.
3.4 Amber color with beige head. Aroma is quite malty with a slight hint of fruit acidity reminding a bit of cider. Taste is mainly malty with some fresh baked bread crust and some grains. It’s just slightly sweet at first and finishes with a hint of earthy hops. Medium to light body with medium carbonation. Overall it’s quite interesting style of beer. Malty but not really sweet, easy drinking and light on the palate.
3.0 Bottle shared thanks to Deanso. Hazy amber with a small cream head. Aroma of fruits, cola?!, light orange, caramel, nutty notes and malt. Flavour is light moderate sweet and bitter. Medium bodied with light fizzy carbonation. [21-07-2016]
3.8 Updated 2017.08.05 8-4-7-3-16 Rating #1822 - 2015.07.08 - Clear copper-amber pour, that produces a minimal bubbly foam even when poured aggressively. Aroma is potent, quite a bit of vanilla, toffee. Taste is malty sweet vanilla, gingerbread, very light and bubbly. This is a pretty good seasonal, and despite the presence of fairly colourful flavours, it remains a balanced crushable summer brew. 7-4-7-3-15
3.1 12oz (35.5cl) bottle at home in Amsterdam on 07-Aug-2016 poured into a long stemmed tulip glass. Clear dark amber colour with a medium sized off-white head. Aroma of malt, spices and floral pine. Medium body and carbonation. Flavour of fruit, spices and toasted malt. Lightly hopped and slightly spicy. Sweetish finish. A little too fruity for my liking.
3.1 35,5 cl. bottle @ home, bought @ Gall&Gall Houten. Hazy light amber with a white head. Malty aroma with some wheat and some fruitiness. Sweet taste. Nice summer beer but a bit weak in body and taste.
3.1 from bottle, poured a hazy light amber colour with a slight off white head. nose of caramel malts, slight citrus, spices, melon sweetness, slight off tasting note in the back. not a big fan
3.1 33cl bottle from Gall & Gall shared with Kermis. Thin white head. Hazy amber pour. Refreshing.
3.3 Sample at Daily Growler UA. The beer pours a clear bright amber color with a medium thin off-white head that dissipates quickly to an outer ring. Spotty lacing. Floral aroma with malt and spice in the background. Light to medium body with flavors of toasted malt, spice, fruit and mild floral hops. The finish is sweet with a malt and spiced fruit aftertaste. Decent overall.
3.0 12 oz. can. Pours an enormously thick, slowly collapsing, ivory head, with moderate lacing, over a clear effervescent amber (SRM 9) body.....nose is vanilla, ginger mild toasted malts, no hops......taste is vanilla, hints of ginger, moderate toasted malts, with light biscuit, finishing slightly sweet with a very soft lightly bitter finish.......mouth feel, light body, no alcohol, high carbonation. This is a very soft, not particularly interesting beer. The additives are mildly dominant, and the malts and hops are well hidden. BJCP 5/3/10/4/5
3.2 33cl botle. Clear amber pour with a thin tan head. Green hops and wet copper in the nose. The taste is bitter, with notes of red berries and citrus, as well as some cantaloupe melon.
3.1 Faint hop aroma. Amber malts mixed with straw wheat with a clean lager like finish.
3.5 Draft at Taps Beer Bar, Changkat, Kuala Lumpur. Poured a slightly hazy medium copper with a thin white head and a little broken lace. The aroma is sweet caramel malt, light hop. The flavour is moderate sweet light bitter with a doughy biscuit malt, hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation.
3.4 5%ABV. Cream Ale. Tapped out Amber. 14ºSRM. Nose has some pleasant phenolic-beery type aromas. Cream corn and corn nuts in the nose. Mouthfeel is watery. Palate is nutty and with black bread and a flavor of nut loaf. There are some nice spicy elements suggesting nutmeg. Finish is beery.
