Angry Orchard Apple Ginger

Angry Orchard Apple Ginger

Our Apple Ginger cider is unlike any cider you’ve had before. The fresh ginger and apple flavors blend together for a sweet, yet slightly tart taste with a distinct ginger aroma. The result is a smooth, refreshing cider that goes down easy.

3.7 Pours a lovely and appetizing clear golden - no head, but this is a cider. Aroma reaches out and touches you from half a meter away, luring your mouth with crisp, fresh apple that has a ginger undertone. Apple and ginger marry nicely in the refreshing and pleasing flavor. Texture is firm and rather fizzy, good for a cider. Get angry, get over it, and get gingered!
2.9 Rated on 4-08-2013 (Bottle) This cider’s appearance is a very small off-white head with a short retention, transparent yellow body, fizzy, fast rising carbonation, and no lacing. The aroma is apples, ginger and sweet. The flavor is sweet, apples, light ginger, and tart. The mouthfeel is very dry and this cider is light-medium bodied. Overall, I am not a fan of this cider as I am not a fan of ginger.
3.0 Bottle into pint glass, clear pale golden color with minimal white lacing. Aroma of apple and ginger spices. Taste adds some faint citrus. Light body, low-moderate carbonation, dry with apple spice finish. Easy drinking ginger cider.
2.9 Bottle. Clear golden color, pretty much flat. Aroma of apple flesh, very subtle spice. Taste has solid ginger and apple.
2.5 355ml bottle. Clear gold pour. Sweet apple candy with ginger in the aroma. The flavor is mostly sweet, some musty apple, light tartness, light ginger burn, some earth. Its soda.
2.4 Looks good. Smells good. But still my least favorite Angry Orchard cider so far. Too much vineagar mouth feel.gets more sour as we reach the bottom of the glass.
3.0 This cider is a light golden color. The ginger come through strongly in the aroma and mildly in the flavor as a sort of spicy bite which balances the little bit of sweetness.
2.7 Bottle, strong ginger aroma. Taste is apple and a crap load of spices. Kinda reminds me of an overspiced pumpkin beer. The ginger overpowers it a bit. It’s an interesting concept, and I’m glad that the Sam Adams cider people are doing it, but it isn’t for me.
3.5 THOUGHTS: Pretty much a mix of apple cider and ginger ale. Nice combo of flavors. Nice balance, too. TECHNICAL: Drank 5/5/2013. Bottle. Poured a light gold. The aroma had apple, ginger, ginger ale and apple juice. The initial flavor was moderately sweet and slightly acidic; while the finish was moderately acidic and lightly sweet and sour with an average duration. There was apple, apple juice, ginger ale, ginger, tart apple and hints of lemon. The light to medium body was dry with lightly fizzy carbonation and a dry finish.
2.3 Bottle. Pours clear light orange with fastly dissipating head. Aroma is strong of apples, ginger, sweet, baking spices. Taste is crisp, musty, fake, light bodied. Not good, so fake tasting.
3.6 Not a big cider drinker but I like this. Subtle ginger and not too sweet. I could go for more dryness and carbonation but that’s more personal preference than anything. Very drinkable and enjoyable.
2.8 12oz bottle in a glass. Pours really light golden. Aroma of ginger, some apples, light tartness, and some sweetness. Flavor the same. Lighter texture. Too much ginger for me.
3.5 "Well balanced apple and ginger flavors. the apple pops more like the crisp apple cider, as opposed to the dry. really nice stuff (provided you like ginger) especially on the nose. I’ll be getting more of the crisp and this...can’t remember the last time i said that for a cider."
3.4 This was poured into a pint glass and a wine glass. The same appearance in both glasses: semi-clear glossy yellow to orange color with a bubbly carbonation to be seen rising. Bubbly head rapidly dissipates. The smell had a nice sweet apple combination to the ginger - good, I expected it and it delivered. The taste was pretty much the same. There was no aftertaste but it did have a dry finish. On the palate, this one sat fairly light and was fairly sessionable. There was a certain crisp ginger spice over my tongue that seemed to detract from the carbonation, no worries but I did figure out that’s probably why the carbonation seemed to be a tad lower than most ciders I’ve had. Overall, Angry Orchard did exactly what they said they would do with this one. Are ciders actually starting to grow on me? Uh oh... damn changing palate.
3.1 An interesting cider - but I admit I am a sucker for gingers. This is all standard cider ... except with the additional aroma and taste of ginger ... which is a plus in my book.
3.1 Nice apple aroma with some ginger in there. Taste is apple, slightly sugary sweet with a bit of ginger. Bit low carbonation. That along with slight sugary detract, but it is a descent cider. The more I drink the sweeter it seems, and the more the lack of carbonation detracts.
1.7 This is absolute crap. Too much sugar, zero alcohol, instant heartburn. If I knew it had been brewed in Cincinatti I would have assisted the store manager with throwing them in the dumpster. Don’t waste your time with the ponce reviews. This stuff is garbage!
3.8 Bottle for my lady friend. Pours clear yellow, lots of bubbles. Aroma is strong apple, hint of spice. Taste is sweet apple, ginger in the background. Taste pretty good to me. Nice by my pool with all the bikini clad friends.
3.7 Haze golden yellow color with slowly rising bubbles and a tiny white ring head. Aroma of mild ginger, soaked. Flavor is naturally sweet. Dry palate. Good beverage. High five!
2.8 Sample at Hopfest 2014. Comes a clear, pale gold with a small white head. Aroma of fruit and spice. Taste is apple and ginger. Nice for a hot day. Not too sweet.
3.4 Bottle poured. Clear golden color, no head, lightly carbonated. Light tart aroma mixed with strong ginger accents. Light and silky body. Tastes vaguely tart, but the ginger is a tad overwhelming.
2.9 Bottle pour. Clear light golden in color with no head. Decent carbonation. Apple and ginger aroma. Clean light body. Good balance of taste between sweet apple and tart ginger. Not a bad cider.
3.0 Bottle from bhensonb. Pours light golden with a modest white head and a strong ginger aroma. There is a crisp apple flavor with lots of ginger.
3.5 A very good mix on tart crisp apples and spicy fresh ginger. An appealing aroma and a nice color in the glass. Over all an enjoyable experience.
3.1 Bottle. Tastes like strong ginger, light apple, light herb. Light body and low carbonation. Smells like musky apple, light ginger.
2.7 12 ounce bottle. Pours a golden yellow with a thin head around the edge. Taste is of green apples, ginger and a touch of spice. Similar aroma. Has a decent lighter body. Easy to drink and enjoyable. Reminds me of a spiced apple juice.
3.8 The flavor of this cider fits the name very well. The color is a pale golden. It is sweet but has a crisp edge to it.
3.8 As far at the Angry Orchard brand goes, this is my favorite one. It tastes exactly like it is advertised - little more dry, but with a crisp apple taste and a touch of ginger. Sweet, but not too much that it is overpowering. This is one of my go-to drinks when I want something other than beer
2.6 Well, the name of this beer pretty much gives away what it tastes like. It is a dry and mildly carbonated version of apple juice w/ a touch of ginger. It’s not quite sweet enough to taste like apple-flavored pop but still has a sticky heaviness to it that I find to be off-putting even though the flavor profile is overall reasonably nice. Even one glass of this feels like a bit too much, meaning it is hardly the refreshing beverage it advertises itself as being.
2.4 the taste of apple and ginger are certain the main flavors, but both flavors are particularity dominate. the cider is tartish with a crispness. the ginger comes in right after. for one who enjoys flavors.
