2.2 Tap, gold pour, white head, nose is apples, taste is apples, pretty bland overall.
3.1 "lightest in color of the 3 AO ciders, and easily the lightest in aroma as well. Very traditional dry english cider. Bittersweet and pretty tasty. Simple. Nice, but my least favorite, if only because the othre two were so nice."
2.8 Methinks the orchard is angry because its apples have been used to create such a dull drink. And the additives pretty well quash the usage of "traditional" on the label. A vigorous pour produces a bubbly yellow body, pretty pale, with a slender head that rapi9dly reduces to a ring. The aroma is light, some sweet apples with some of the skins. The taste is straightforward, sweet apples, much stronger than the nose. Not much here, but easy to down on a hot and muggy day.
1.5 This was poured into a pint glass and a wine glass. The appearance was the same in both glasses: glossy yellow color with a decent transparency about it to allow bubbly carbonation to be seen rising pretty fast. The smell had some sweet apples with a decent crisp dried pears in the background. The taste was mainly the same. On the palate, this one sat about a light on the body with a mediocre sessionability as this had a harsh vinous quality about making it hard to put down the ol gullet. Overall, another strike out. I don’t think I could return to this.
3.4 Transparent golden color, no head. Sort of a slightly fermented apple aroma, not super strong. Decent dryness, slightly sour. Pretty good overall, not overly sweet but also not super dry either.
2.9 Bottle: Golden, good clarity and topped with an inch of white head. Good apple notes in the nose and taste, carbonated well. Refreshing.
2.8 Decent cider but i am still figuring out how to rate them. Pale yellow pour no head slightly fizzy. Light apple nose. Sweet and apply a bit sour.
2.6 Golden pour. Nose of dry tart apple, with a slight tinge. Flavor is overly sweet apple, slightly tart, with a trail minerals. Meh.
3.4 Golden yellow cider. Some tartness and apple juice on the nose. Quite flat carbonation. Quite nice sweetness. Strong apple flavor. Dry after taste.
2.9 Rated on 6-19-2012 (Bottle) This cider has a small very fizzy white head that mostly diminishes, transparent yellow body, and very fizzy carbonation. The aroma is apples and sweet. The flavor mimics the aroma plus a very dry finish. The mouthfeel is lively carbonation and this cider is medium bodied. There is not much character to this cider as it is apples, apples and apples.
3.3 Courtesy of northernbrews Bottle: The aroma consists of light-moderate sweet and tart apple with a touch of dust. It pours a transparent golden-orange with a small white head that quickly fades to a very thin ring around the edges of the glass. The flavor starts with moderate sweet apple. The finish becomes a little more tart apple skins. It’s light bodied with moderate carbonation. Overall, it’s a little sweet to be called dry, but it’s a decent thirst quencher.
4.0 Amber in color with a sweet apple aroma. It has very little/no head. It is sweet with a slight dryness.
2.6 355ml bottle (Black Door, Helsinki) Sweet cider aroma. Soft palate, smooth with sugars. Sweet apple cider taste. Possible to believe that this is a proper cider, but it’s got that mass-market sweetness it could almost be macro. There is a touch of a hint of cider yeast, so yes, this is actually real. But what the fucking fuck, this is about as far from "dry" as it’s possibly to get. So in American, "dry" means "sweet" to those who invented the drick. Reinforces my stereotype about americans not having a fucking clue. Al least it was decently drinkable, I do like sweet ciders like this too.
2.9 Bottle. Golden colour with some white bubbles. Aroma is apple, sourness, yeast. Flavour is apple, sourness, yeast. OK cider.
2.2 I’m not getting anything special from this one, its got a bland taste of apple with a touch of background brewing water. its nothing special.
3.2 Bottle 12fl.oz. [ As Angry Orchard Traditional Dry ]. [ Trade by oh6gdx ]. Clear medium yellow color with virtually no head. Aroma is moderate to light heavy apple, dry apples, tart apples, sugary apples - apple syrup, light vanilla. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and light light acidic with a long duration, sugary apples, dry, apple skin. Body is medium, texture is watery to oily, carbonation is soft. [20140117]
3.1 Bottle, screw-top. Nose is apple, not sweet, actually really tart and with very faint acetone out of the bottle. Pours transparent golden with light carbonation and a head that fizzes away before I can get a color reading on it. Taste lightly sweet, not cloying, relatively still medium body, great tart apple flavor. I’d say fresh without being entirely clean, with a nice bit of spice on the back end -- a lot like a local cider you’d find at a county fair or farmer’s market. I’m game.
2.5 12oz. bottle. Pours a light, bright gold. No head to speak of, lightly carbonated. Not much nose. Light, tart. Would be very refreshing on a hot day. Not bad on a cold one, either.
3.7 It pours a golden color with minimal carbonation. It has a perfume like tart apple aroma. It’s a bit sweet for a dry cider. I taste apple, pear and a little vanilla. Maybe the aftertaste is a little dry. I could drink several of these. Another quality beverage from Boston beer company.
2.2 Tasted on 1/22/14 from a 12oz bottle. Pours clear golden yellow with some clear bubbles that stick around for a short moment. The nose is tart green apple with some cheesy yeast aroma, and a touch of bubblegum, very lightly earthy. The flavor is a bit sweeter apple than I would’ve guessed based on the nose with that same sweet bubblegum on the back of the palate. The body is light with light carbonation, a nice tannic structure, and a medium tart apple and bubblegum finish.
3.0 Vestjysk Vinter Vanvid januar 2014. Golden with a tiny white head. Red apple aroma with a touch of wood. Slightly tart apple flavour with a hint of tannins
3.0 Bottle @ First Semester Ulfborg, 2014. Pours clear yellow with a bubbly head. Serpentine, tart apples, wood and barnyard.
3.4 Bottle 330ml @ fonefan Pours clear golden with a small white head. Aroma has notes of green apples, vanilla and some sourness. Taste is light sweet and light sour with a dry green apple finish. Body is light, texture is thin, carbonation is soft.
1.7 Bottle. A clear, golden cider, still, but with some bubbles on top. The aroma has a touch of plastic container, with apples playing the supporting role. Pretty plasticy flavor too, really strange I think. Medium body, semi-dry and flat. Some plastic in the finish too. The apples more evident in the finish than initally. Not awful in any way, but sure strange. 140117
2.7 Bottle @ fonefan tasting. Clear golden without head. Aroma is sweet, apples and marzipan. Flavor is quite sweet. Sweet finish. 170114
2.7 Bottle @ fonefan tasting.Medium head with medium duration. Color is golden. Aroma and taste are sulphur, apples and fruits.
3.0 Drank from bottle. Almost taste of apple juice with a dry finish. No alcohol taste that I can taste.
3.5 On the JRHB Tacky Lights Tour bus. Poured a light gold. Aroma apples, flavor apples. Dry finish. Very solid apple flavor. Not spectacular, but not a lot to complain about here either. Just a clean, moderately flavorful cider.
3.3 This is basically apple juice with a wisp of vinous character. It’s not really dry. Crisp on the finish but this is a sweet-tasting cider for sure.
2.9 12 oz bottle. PO14307298E. (Alko) Tampere, Finland. Clear golden colour with a tiny white head. The aroma is apple, vinegar and some sweetness. The flavour is some tartness, alcohol, apples, mild sweetness and mild cinnamon. No carbonation.
