0.9 Clear golden pur with a mild skunk aroma. It’s nothing really special. I might like it a little better then most anheuser busch products.
1.5 I cant take this one serious. I am glad that these brilliant minds endevored in such a complex style of ale though haha. Jeeze drain pour this one.
0.9 Just because you put it in a fancy green bottle, doesn’t make it good. Cheap American beer at an import price. Not worth it.
1.7 Pours a clear golden. Aroma is typical sweetness. Taste is much like a Heineken. Unfortunately that seems to be the bar AB has set for itself. I had hoped for better, but it seems like most of AB’ s other craft beer endeavors they have settled for being below average.
1.9 Pours yellow with a fizzy white head. No aroma and the taste is minimal. I guess your average beer drinker would suck this down in a hurry. Bland, lifeless and WAY overpriced.
1.8 Poured a decent golden color with a pretty nice white head, and carbonation sparkling up the glass. Smell, was not appealing, had some graininess to it, but was skunked. Taste was just terribly skunky and tasted like something went wrong. Not sure if I got a bad batch, but A-B is usually pretty consistent which makes me wonder if it was designed like this. Mouthfeel is lightly bodied and highly carbonated. I couldn’t even have half the bottle, not drinkable. I really didn’t want to hate on A-B with this one, I thought given the extra presentation put into this beer, it might be pretty good. If this is what their top 10 brewmasters came up with, I’m scared. Maybe I’ll try it again sometime, but not for a while. Hopefully it will be better then.
0.9 Just a cheap way to try and push at Heineken. Very watered down with little malt or hop action.
1.7 Bottle poured into pint glass. You didn’t fool me. This is simple Budweiser in a green wrapper. Still watery, skunked and weak flavour. Shy of average.
1.0 Actually cellared from this past spring (to no avail). Yellow golden color. Just off-white colored head. Corn sweet aroma, has a skunky smell, buts it mellows out to a wort-like essence. It has a sweet and thin light taste that gets a bit sour at the end. Very little bitterness as it finishes light and weak. Gimmick beer from mega swill makers.
2.2 Suprisingly good for a AB product. Decent flavour, not exteremely watery. Not crystal clear like the other AB products.
0.9 I think it may be too many cooks stirring the skunk soup. I really had high hope for this.
1.4 I think they rebottled Heinekin. Had a thicker flavor but It was way to skunky. Is this really the best AB can do?
2.4 Definitely the best Anheuser-Busch lager. Good american style pale lager, but not as good as the other "big boys" import ones. You still pay the import price however, and is hard to find. Decent try
2.2 Fom a bottle. A pungent aroma. A lot of reviewers say "skunky." I immediately thought I was drinking a Canadian biere when I opened it. A little slow to go down for me. It’s alright but it is more of a marketing campaign than a good beer.
2.3 Rated 8/11/06: Thanks to my friend for arriving on my doorstep with a sixer. All in all not a bad lager but there is nothing out of the ordinary here. Crisp bland aroma, decent pour which is medium gold in color alright head and a trace of lacing, flavor and mouthfeel are adequate yet shallow. All in all not much to write home about.
1.4 This to me is Budweiser’s knockoff on Heineken. Just way too skunky. Not a very good knockoff of a bad beer to begin with.
1.7 A tad bit maltier than a Budweiser and waaaaay skunkier. This is like a Stella or Heineken, and that’s a bad thing.
1.5 Reading the commericial description just makes me laugh, "We challenged our top brewmasters representing 10 countries around the globe to collaborate and create something extraordinary." This sucks like all the other A-B brews. Smells skunky like a bad Heineken.
0.9 anheaser’s answer to heineken. extra added skunk in the nose and a bit of poo on the palate.
0.5 Cold 12oz bottle: Pours a pale straw color with very little bubbles. Aroma is of skunk, malt and grass. Watery texture. Tastes like dirty water. Yuck.
0.9 Bud with a skunk added to the bottle. Can you believe these chumps charge $7-$8 for a six of this urine??????
1.6 cool bottle, kind of bitter, more so than bud, slight skunkiness, grows on you a little, not enough to buy again though
0.9 I believe that this is just a regular Bud in a different bottle. If there is a difference i can’t find one???
0.9 not good. the "brewmasters" at anheuser absolutly sucked it up with this one
2.4 another OK beer from bud nothing is spectacular but all drinkaable for thier style grab one today if you feel the need
2.7 12 oz. bottle from AJ’s Fine Foods (Tucson) - Pours a crystal clear golden color with a one finger thick white head. Light carbonatiopn. Very light spotty lacing. Has a strong skunky aroma. I kinda like it. Reminds me of Moosehead. Flavor is light grain and herbal hops. Light to medium body. Palate is a little dry and crisp. Not too bad for a BMC. Worth a try.
1.6 Bottle from Hy-Vee Liquors poured into lager glass - Pours pale gold with a 1 finger white fizzy head; Yeast, a little hops, usual pale lager smell to the nose; Stale yeast, skunky hops on the initial taste; bitter hops, malt? on a boring backtaste; very light palate; fizzy carbonation; It’s like Bud Select with a slightly lighter palate. Not that good.
2.1 From a 12 oz. green bottle with a bottled on date on the below the back label. Poured a clear lager golden with a small foamy, bubbly topped white head. Aromas of funky, herbal hops and faint sweet grain malts. Good carbonation and a crisp, smooth light bodied mouthfeel. Tastes of sweet grainy malts and a lightly spicy, herbal hops, very soft in their bitterness, and a dryish grain husky finish with a lingering sterile metallic in the aftertaste. I want to like this, but in the end, I found it to barely passable, resembles Heineken in many ways, but I thought it could use a little more body and hop flavor.
1.6 Golden pour, no surpise.. the head is white and bubbly. Aroma is of corn, maybe a bit of grassiness. Sweet and sugary taste, skunky. OK... it tastes slightly better than Bud, but at this price you’re banging at SA’s door and their stuff is much better than this. I think the 10 countries they represented with this beer are Panama, New Guinea, American Samoa, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia and Stankonia amongst others.
1.8 Pours a straw like yellow color with a soapy head that doesn’t stick around for long. Aroma is maybe some malts, corn, and a light bready scent. Flavor is lackluster with corn, a very light malt note, and of course Anheusers signiture ingredient....Water. Palate is everso slightly bitter/sweet and watery. Overall, It’s a small step up from regular Budwieser.
