3.6On tap - Pours a clear deep dark brown colour with a small beige head. Aroma is roasted malts and coffee grounds. A moderately sweet to heavy sweet taste, smooth roasted malts with chocolate and liquorice flavours combined with a lingering dry bitter finish.
4.0Bottle shared with JMD on board Fridtjofen 08.12.19. Very dark brown. Brown head. Complex and well-balanced taste of dark chocolate, cigar box, pin, a little liquorice and grapefruit bitterness. Pleasantly light mouthfeel. Very quaffable.
3.6On tap @Luppolo Station (Rome). Bruna/nera, schiuma beige. In bocca è dolce all'attacco con chiusura amara medio-leggera, caffettosa. Corpo medio, carbonazione leggera. Buona.
3.5Handpump @Luppolo Station in Rome-Italy. Coffee bean pour with caramel highlights and a medium dark ivory foam. Nose: a bit smokey, roast malt, grounded barley. Mouth: a porter in style, soft body, roasted coffee, a bit bitter tart.
4.0330ml bottle. Pours black with a beige head. Aroma of roast malts, a little smoke, dark chocolate. Taste is bitter, roasty, sweet dark chocolate, a little smoke, caramel. Medium body, smooth, soft carbonation.
Davvero notevole
3.5Tap at the brewery - day before st paddys day. incredibly crowded during the day, pub crawl and all, bit too much. not much going on in the streets nearby. managed to get a beer, and it was totally worth it! dark brown color, brownish head. strongly bitter, dark malts, dark chocolate, espresso. powerful porter!
3.9Draught at Anspach & Hobday, Bermobdsey, London. Pourec an opaque black with a 1cm tan dense foam head that diminished slowly to a blotchy cap that laced very well. Carbonation very low, slow and fine. Aroma is slightly sweet with dark fruirs, vanilla and coffee. Taste is initially strongly roasted grain followed by moderately strong sweet dark fruits and coffee bitterness. Medium to heavy body. Smooth with a lingering sweetness and a nice coffee bitterness. Very nice.
3.9Dark brown beer with an evanescent foam sticking on the glass. Roasted malted aromas, coffee, chocolate and dark berries. The taste is round and full-bodied, superb of complex roasting, coffee, choc and dark berries, with shades of caramel and rusk. Roasting and hop in finale, burnt, earth and herbs.
3.4Bottiglia.

Good and enjoyable porter. Kinda classic, but every point (aroma, taste, palate) is mastered.
I will drink it again.
3.210/III/18 - on tap @ RBBWG (Beer Lover's, Antwerp) - BB: n/a (2018-290) Thanks for sharing!
Clear dark brown to black beer, small creamy beige head. Aroma: very roasted, charcoal, coffee grit, more roast, some camp fire, smoky. MF: soft carbon, medium body. Taste: pretty bitter, lots of roast, charcoal, dry. Aftertaste: very bitter, dry, very roasted, charcoal, unpleasant bitterness.
4.0Gravity cask @ Warwick University Real Ale Festival, Feb 2018. No tasting notes as I was already very drunk by the time I listed the scores.
3.9On tap at Brew Wild Pizza Bar in Madrid. Pours black with a small beige head. Aroma is roasted malt and coffee. Taste is medium sweet, rich maltiness, coffee, treacle, light bitter finish. Excellent one.

Black color, light beige head, creamy, good lasting, some lacing. Aroma is roasty with light notes of coffee. Flavorhas notes of roasted malts notes of coffee beans and black choaolate. Light bitterness in the final, dry mouthfeel.
4.3Bottle 33.
3.4Draught Huge, very dense cream-tan head over jet-black beer; good lace. Coffee², roasted (coffee)beans, vanilla beans, bit ashy. Roast, with a burnt-meaty sweetness. Some hops in the background. Bit chewy, good carbonation; viscous, bit oily feel. Decent porter. 6/4/7/3/14
