Arbor Yakima Valley American IPA

Arbor Yakima Valley American IPA

Cask; Regular. Also available bottle conditioned.

We pushed our small brewery right to the limit to create this bad boy. We selected half a dozen of our favourite American hops, grown in the Yakima Valley, Washington State, and added bucket loads of each. With twice the hop rate of most of our other beers, it really is very hoppy indeed.

3.6 * Can 7%. * Appearance is hazy amber, with a thick white dissipating head. * Aroma is moderate, peach and grapefruit, with some grass. * Palate is medium body, soft carbonation, with very fine bubbles. * Taste is strong, sweet, peach, grapefruit and grass. * Finish is nicely balanced slightly more sweet than bitter with a resin hoppy drying finish. * Overall good flavour, not too much grass and no pine. 4/5
Ładna puszka i etykieta. Po nalaniu całości pływają jednak nieprzyjemne farfocle. W aromacie żywiczne i dużo białych owoców. Super kontrast.

3.7 Can. Pours murky dull orange/Brown. Big tight foamy head. This definitely lives up to the 'American' claim. jammy sweetness, malty, of all the hops Ammarillo stands out for me. Lovely bitter finish. Mod carbonation. Definitely drinks it's 7% which adds a warm glow to the whole expeeience. Good. This would be cracking as cask.

3.3 Tap, taster. Tasted on the 14/04/2018 at "El Sainete", Madrid. Cloudy golden colour with a medium white head. Aroma of floral hops, pine and some malts. Taste is slightly hoppy and floral with presence of grass and pine. Maybe not too fresh, a little old. Next one please!
3.8 Medium/strong hoppy nuances of overaged mango, a hint pf maple syrup. A bit of bitterness and sourness like it should be in UK IPA. A hint of bitter hops. Medium/narrow taste spectrum and long/medium aftertaste with sour fruits. Balanced. Medium body with medium/low carbonation. Overall, drinkable UK DIPA. Bit artificial. 8 4 7 4 15

Bogaty aromat cytrusów i kwiatków. W smaku dośc dużo ciała, chmiele zaś niezbyt agresywne. Gładkie, pachnące piwo.
3.3 0,2l on tap @ Black Door. Pours cloudy golden with a low head. Aroma is sweet fruity malts. Flavor is similar with a hoppy finish. A bit too candyish. Decent.
3.7 568 ml (1 pint) bottle, from Ales By Mail. ABv is 7%. Hazy golden colour, large white head. Pleasant aroma of fruity (citrus, tropical fruits) hops, also notes of pine and spruce. Fairly sweet flavour with some fruit, and distinct piney / resinous hops throughout. Bitter finish and aftertaste.

3.2 6 3 7 3 13 Cask at Beer Emporium, Bristol. Clear golden with a small white head. Aroma of malt, floral hops and caramel. Flavour is above moderate sweet and bitter. Medium bodied with very soft carbonation.
3.7 568ml bottle. Pours slightly hazy amber with a one finger off-white head. Aroma: hoppy, resinous, citrus fruits, pine, malty, caramel. Taste: resinous, pine, citrus, tropical, good sweet malty base, caramel, marmaladey, bitter finish. Medium body and carbonation. Not the type of IPA I go for these days but very good nonetheless.
Bouteille 56.8cl, V&B Grenoble.
Amarezza composta. Carbonazione media. Finale amarognolo. Ipa non giovane che soffre l’età.
3.5 Pours murky amber with small white head. Medium carbonation. Aromas of bread, malt and bitter hops, perhaps bitter oranges. Taste is citrus hop and pine with a decent malt backbone and a touch of grapefruit, perhaps nectarine. Good mouth feel with a big bitter finish and slight alcohol burn
3.7 Gravity Cask Third of a Pint at GBBF 2011 (Day 2), Earl’s Court, London Aug 2011 - Golden in colour. Very Hoppy; piney resinous oily and grassy hops. Very Fruity; grapefruit citrus, some tropical fruit, pineapple. Malty; sweet malts, honey. Good hop/fruit/malt balance. Liked this a lot. Lovely IPA! (2011-08-03)

3.6 From cask at In De Wildeman, as part of the "Real Ale Days". Aroma is fruity hops, sweetish caramel malt, tropical fruits, grapefruit. Flavour is moderate sweet and rather bitter. Body is medium. Nicely fruity hoppy with a sturdy malt backbone.
3.7 Bottle. Pours hazy amber. Strong grapefruit aroma with other citrus and marmalade. Taste has some sticky resinous sweetness up front with moderate bitter finish. Decent.
1.8 Backlog, ocena przepisana z untappd, w ramach uzupełniania profilu na ratebeer. Landrynki, skunks, tępa goryczka.
4.5 Nice mild smell (served cold) Taste is amazing, thick resiny texture, overipe fruits. Oh god the burp is tasty.
3.6 Keg at The Hop Inn, Newcastle-Under-Lyme. A clear amber colour with a medium off white head. Aroma of passion fruit, orange, some grapefruit, slight pine, a little caramel and subtle red berries. Taste of orange, grapefruit, resin, some passion fruit, slight caramel, a little fruit and subtle grassy hops. Medium bodied and an oily texture. A dry, slightly resinous, fruity hop bitterness in the finish. Surprisingly fruity but also quite bitter. A nice array of flavours but only average for an IPA.
3.9 In bottiglia.
