Arcobräu Mooser Liesl

Arcobräu Mooser Liesl

Geh Liesl, bring ma no a so a guads Hells!

3.7 Bottle online from The Trembling Madness. Pours a clear golden colour with a large fluffy white head. Aromas of grains, hay, white bread and a touch of lemon. Taste is toasty grains, doughy bread, lemon, floral, herbal and some peppery spice. Malty with hardly any bitterness. Fairly dry finish. Medium body and a spritzy palate. Good Helles.
2.8 Kein besonderes, etwas langweiliges Helles. Insgesamt leider ein wenig zu wässrig, wenig Hopfen, wenig Malz.
3.5 Reminds me of Samuel Adams Summer Ale: light, refreshing. Little pricey
3.8 500ml bottle from We Brought Beer, Tooting. Clear mid golden. Lovely, fresh bread nose, with flowery hops, honey melon and caramel. Really big, bold flavours on this - malt bomb, with bready sweetness that’s perfectly measured. This is a great Helles.
3.0 Smooth white head left a creamy cover on a clear pale amber coloured body. Big aroma of malt, grain, grass & biscuit. Medium bodied, lively on the tongue with thicker cloying back. Sweet, berries, malt & confectionery tastes with a bitter lightly hopped finish. Easy going.
3.4 (Bottle, 0.5 l - BB 08.11.2022, from a supermarket, 20220220) The beer poured golden and clear. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had grass, fruitiness and grain. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were grass, sweetness, grain, malts and bitterness. Aftertaste was grainy, malty and bitter. A nice grassy brew with sweet notes.
3.3 24Jan2021 Sweet grain and cereal malts, caramel, molasses, bread. Clear gold, big, creamy, white head. Light sweet. Sweet grain and cereal malts, caramel, molasses, bread, straw, med carb, med bod. Nice for the style, a bit in the sweet side. Bottle from The House of the Trembling Madness.
3.0 Solid hells. Pours yellow with a medium mouthfeel and a light corn and bready sweetness. Bottle from Beertopia in 2021.
2.8 Bottle 33 cl. Pours a clear yellow with a white head. Nose is malty, slightly grainy with little hop aroma. Medium body, sweet maltiness, a hint of sulphur and not an awful lot more. Missing hops here, both for aroma and bitterness. 011221
2.9 50cl bottle from local store. Poured straw color, thin head. Grains, malts and hay mostly. Light bodied, quite crisp. Does turn bit too sweet in the finish. OK.
3.7 0.5 l bottle from K-Citymarket Ruoholahti, Helsinki. Golden, clear, thick big head. Herbal hoppines makes a dry ending. This is very good.
3.7 Bottle, online from Trembling Madness. Pours clear golden with a white head. Aroma: bready malts, light floral hops. Taste: light to moderate sweet with low bitterness, clean, crisp, bread, cereal, hay. Light to medium body with moderate carbonation. Tasty.
3.4 Sixer of bottles from WineWorks, comfy 11.2oz bottles feel really good in the hand like stubbies. Clear and light but burnished gold pour with a foamy bright white head. Light sweetness that reamains without growing, may dry out a touch by the end. Mildest bitterness, no tang. Hint of bread crust, mineral but not off-putting. Hops giving off nice grass and the elusive spaghetti character, noble and a little rustic. Good malt character throughout, medium body with low-medium carbonation. Pretty picture-perfect Export! If you have the taste for this particular expression, you're going to love this like I do. [2021.10.04: 3.4]
2.4 Bottled 500ml (KSM Kampus) Pale yellow colour, medium-sized white head. Light sweetish maltyness, perhaps hints of diacetyl even, some metal. Light-bodied. Semi-sweet maltyness, grass and metal. Easy.

3.2 (500ml bottle, Berlin. 29 Aug 2021) AROMA: moderate and nice malt and biscuit, light hops, lightly floral and grassy, hint of dairy/cream APPEARANCE: clear, nicely carbonated, light to medium straw yellow, not an overly thick white head but respectable with decent life of a thin residual TASTE: taste follows the nose, grain, classic euro lager upfront but then some additional nuances, some wood notes, toasted bread, slightly fruity after the middle instead of upfront but in a good way PALATE: not overly light, approaching medium body, well balanced, easy astringency upfront and easy bitterness on the finish, just enough bite, soft linger OVERALL: A very nice Helles, nice balance and flavor profile, some richness without being in your face, quite smooth, easy AND interesting.
3.3 0.5 l bottle shared with the bikers at the Goblet Beer Store, Zagreb. Clear golden, small white head. Malty, doughy, bready. Sweetish, grainy, soft vegetable. Light body, moderate carbonation, light finish. Soft.

3.0 500 ml bootle, pretty decent taste of hebs and malts in here. Not super crazy about it but decent.
3.3 Bottle. Moderate grain for the malt, light herbs for the hops, and light meadow for the yeast. Head is large, frothy, white with good lacing and is mostly diminishing. Color is crystal clear light gold. Flavor starts slightly acidic, then finishes slightly bitter. Palate light to medium, slick, with a lively carbonation. Boy do I miss these authentic Bavarian Helles. Thank you Andrea for bringing this and others from across the pond!
