3.1 Bottle. Head is initially average sized, frothy, brown, mostly lasting. Body is black (non-opaque, flashlight tested). Aroma is moderately malty (roasted grain, chocolate), with notes of milk, raw wood / sawdust, licorice, red wine, alcohol. Flavor is moderately to heavily sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, lightly to moderately bitter. Medium to full body, creamy/syrupy texture, lively/soft carbonation, moderately alcoholic. Some weird and/or unpleasant aromas mix with a few good ones, so it's kind of a mixed bag overall. Quite sweet but still reasonably drinkable. Ok, but odd.
3.5 Aroma of coffee, chocolate, wood, liquorice and hints of dried fruits, smoke and caramel. Black with a tan head. Medium + sweet and medium + bitter. Medium to full body with average carbonation. Dry and bitter finish. Overall a nice warming Stout.
3.8 Svart med beige skum. Lukter mørk sjokolade, mørke frukter og korn. Fyldig. Smaker salt lakris, svisker og trevirke. Lang. Salt.
1.8 Very dark with a beige head. Roasted smell of coffee and chocolate. Taste reminding me rum with additional dried fruit. Low carbonation. But somehow it feels a bit funky, tasting like trash smells.
3.8 Bottle from Hopt. Aroma is roasted malt with strong notes of oak, coffee, dark chocolate, bark, some dark fruit, espresso. Flavour is medium sweet with a roasty bitter finish. Body is medium to full. Nicely roasty and bitter and I dig the oak influence.
3.6 KØLF . Black co0lor with a tan head. Aroma is licorice, coffee. Flavor is licorice, coffee, chocolate, roasted malt, fruit, oak. Nice beer.
4.1 Belle robe noire opaque. Au nez, les effluves de grillé sont très fortes, en bouche l'apport de l'épeautre grillé est intéressant sur la texture. La finale se révèle sur des notes de chocolat et café.
3.7 Poors black, mahogany lacing, lasting foam. Aroma is malty, coffee, some chocolate. Tate likewise. Good Beer. (Maastricht 201906)
3.7 Bottle 0.33L. Dark brown body with an average, creamy, tan head, mostly lasting with nice lacing. Moderate-to-heavy malty (roasted dark malt) aroma with notes of coffee, dark chocolate, wood and licorice. Moderate-to-heavy sweet and light-to-moderate bitter flavour; long lasting sweet finish with a light-to-moderate dry chocolate note. Medium body with oily texture; soft carbonation.
3.5 Bottle from Beers of Europe. Deep chocolate brown colour with a tan head. Aroma roasted malty and coffee. Taste roasted bitter. Slightly rough body.
4.0 Bottle-conditioned 33cl. Rich chocolate and roast aroma with touches of wood and wine-like esters. Yeast imparts a calcium and clay note. It's medium-to-full bodied and off-dry with pronounced bitterness and an indistinct hoppiness (doesn't resemble any of the three strains but that's expected given everything else that's going on here). Clean, rich, and savory.
4.1 Bottle. Malt Attacks, Brussels. Clear, dark cola brown. Dense, messy, lasting, tan head. Nose has fruity dark chocolate. Hint of coffee. Some dark berry fruits, especially blackberry. Some charred wood. Taste is a little sweet, with a dark chocolate bitterness. Super smooth mouthfeel. Rich but not heavy. Fine carbonation. Slightly tangy, fruity, chocolatey bitter finish. Great impy.
3.7 330ml bottle. Opaque, darkest brwon colour with late awakening, small, creamy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, beige head. Roasty, chocolately, dark malty, minimally smoky and herbal hoppy aroma, notes of coffee, dark chocolate, sweet-ish flashes of caramel, toffee, Bourbon, leafy hints of tobacco. Taste is bitter roasty dark malty and piney, resinous hoppy, minimally smoky, notes of dark chocolate, hints of metal, rust, spruce, coffee, a touch of orange zest. De Molen would write: Black IPA-ish.
3.8 LCI. Uit de fles geschonken. Mooie imp stout, rokerig, koffie en chocola. Fris mondgevoel door het volop aanwezige koolzuur. Lekker!
4.9 Beautiful dark stout with delicious barrel character. Roasted flavor with just a enough sweetness and hops to round it out.
3.3 Flaska belgoklubben. Svartbrun vätska. Doft av spannmål, rostad malt och lite kaffe. Något syrlig smak med kakao, rostad malt, kaffe och trä. Något tunn kropp
3.7 Bottle. Color: Black, light brown head. Aroma: Roasted malt, cocoa, coffee, earthy. Taste: Dark roasted malt, cocoa, notes of coffee, hints of ash. Medium bitter and moderate sweet. Bittery palate, bit harsh and earthy. Over medium body, below average carbonation.
4.0 33cl Bottle @ Beer Mania, Brussels, Belgium. Black colour with a thin tan head. Aroma is roasted malt, cocoa, coffee, licorice. Taste is roasted malt, dark chocolate, coffee, licorice, slightly nutty. Medium body, average to soft carbonation.
4.1 dark brown colour, huge, dense and stable bige head; aroma and taste of dark chocolate, some berries, hints of coffee and toasted notes; great one!
3.6 Almost totally black with a couple of fingers of dense off-white head. Good enough retention and a bit of lacing. A very clean though not very intense aroma shows light roasted malts, milk coffee and a general 'soft' feel, dark/red fruits. Taste is brighter. A soft milky/oatmeal stout base, with gentle roasted malts and a bit of caramel. Nice fruitiness (red fruits). Maybe a hint of liquorice. Medium to high sweet and medium to low bitter, overall surely sweet but not too much. Finishes with a slight, pleasant warming/alcohol feel. Medium bodied with low to medium carbonation, quite not full enough to be sipped, but nicely silky smooth. Definitely a sweet/belgian kind of stout, and a nice, well-made one.

3.8 It's dark, it's black, and it's opaque. It's a pure stout. Very similar aroma and flavor profile. Tons of liquorice, taste of rye bread and buttery and dense texture. Very direct and dry bitterness for a stout, leaving the sweet notes for other, more civilized beers.
3.6 On tap @ Malmö Brewing. Very dark brown with a tiny tan head. Malty and fruity tones. malt, fruit, coffee and hops. Medium to full body with a bitter / fruity finish.
4.3 Gitzwart, donker beige schuimkraag, redelijk veel koolzuur. Aroma: Roasty mouten, dark roast koffie, chocolade, redelijk hoppig en licht rokerig. Smaak: Iets zoetig, vol roasty, bittere chocolade, dark roast koffie, veel hop bitterheid met een kruidige prikkeligheid. Ik moet zeggen.... Dit is echt kwaliteit hoor! Volle body, vol en romig genoeg, afdronk is roast bitter en hoppig. Top!
3.3 Bottle: black, medium head. Aroma is coffee. Taste is medium sweet, with a biiter undertaste - roasted malt/coffee. Nice balance. Bit flat on the palate but good aftertaste. Pleasant beer.

3.9 Aroma: malt and a christmas-cake kind of sweetness at the back. Hint of chicoree too. A bit of strong coffee too. Aroma in general is not strong. Taste : malt, candi-sugar but not to sweet, espresso and a bit of chocolate bitterness. Palate: full-bodied, rather thick and smooth. Appearnce: very black with old-ivory colored head that does not last much. Good stout, enjoyed it much!!
3.0 Bottle 33cl. Dark brown with a tanned head. Barrel aged aroma and some wild yeast, acid. Hmmm, not sure if I appreciate that. Taste is rounded, soft, not complex. The barrel aging is present, but in this case, is not adding ot the quality of the basic beer. Would like to taste it non barrel aged .
3.8 An excellent stout. Not malty nor thin. A hint of acid or bitterness (meaning more than would be ideal). Some aroma and smokiness.
