3.4 40 cl @ tap. Ottimo aspetto, aroma deboluccio. Ambrata americana che non stupisce particolarmente ma si beve con piacere.
3.0 Aroma: Roasty and hazy caramel Appearance: Pale copper colour and less head Taste: Light sweet, flat. Palate: Light body, slick texture, soft carbonation and subtle roasty flavour finishes
3.4 Can@SBWF2015. Amber colour, small white head. Aroma is fruity, cookie malts, some wooden and herbal notes. Flavour is wood, some floral notes, mild earth as well as some bready and biscuity notes.
3.1 Can at SBWF2015. Clear amber color, small steady white head. Bready, light caramel. Medium-bodied. Sweetish caramel, crystal malt. Light hoppyness. Easy, malty, balanced flavor. Nose was not so good.
3.2 Can @Sbwf15. Pours dark amber with a thin off white head. Caramel, bready notes, malt, hops. Flavor has more sweet notes, hint of chocolate, toffee. Mild bitterness. Ok.
3.3 On tap at a hotel bar. Medium amber colored pour. A head that fades. Aroma of cracker, toast, resin, and sweet caramel. Light to medium body. The finish gets more bitter as it goes along
3.5 Pours a dark red with a white head. Aromas of, caramel, toast, butterscotch. Taste the same with some malty sweetness. Nice lacing in the glass. Not bad nice flavor.
3.3 Bottle. Dark amber body with light tan head. Aroma is light roasted malts with vanilla and caramel and hints of nuts. Taste is malty sweet with roasted nuts and some vanilla. Aftertaste is malty with hints of hops. O.K.
2.9 Reddish to brown colored, small to moderate beige head. Aroma is of caramel, some candylike fruits and bit of chocolate and roasted notes. Taste is low to medium sweet caramel, more chocolate than roasted, some fruits, low to medium bitterness. Low to medium bodied, moderate carbonation. Aroma is not worth mentioning while the flavor leaves a better impression but overall nothing special.
3.3 Draught at Vancouver Craft Beer Week 2015 It’s a dark shade of amber, with compact head. Strong aroma and flavor of cereals, also some maple syrup and nuts, with low bitterness, and a hint of flowery elegance. Nice.
3.4 On tap at the brewery. Crystal clear orange-amber body, with a fine, bone-colored head. Decent lacing is left on the glass. Nice medium roasted malt aroma with suggestions of toasted bread and faint caramel. Medium body with good carbonation. Flavor: a bit more flavor than average for style. About equally bitter and sweet. Earlier Rating: 3/10/2014 Total Score: 3.3 On tap at the brewery in 2011 (from notes). Crystal clear orange, amber, with a small, near-white head. Nice medium toasted malt aroma. Some citrus hops appear upon tasting. Medium body with good carbonation. A tasty beer that could serve as a good introduction to craft brews.
2.9 Bottle, 355 ml at O’hara, Zagreb. Shared with JFK10000. Pours dark orange to brown with off-white head. Toasted malts, light fruitiness, caramel, light hoppy. Medium bodied.
3.4 Nice cloudy brown color, small tan head. Caramel aroma, caramel and hoppy taste. Medium body, creamy texture, soft carbonation. Watery-sh finish. Not bad. (Pivoteka 0,33l bottle)
3.2 On tap at VCBW Festival, pours a deep dark amber with a small white head. Nose and flavour of toasted malt, some toasted caramel, and a decent hop component. Well-balanced between the malts and hops. Solid amber.
3.7 12 ounce bottle from Hayduke that we had together via facebook chat. This beer is clear amber brown and has just a little beige head. The aroma is rich and malty with some nice fruit behind that. The fruit is almost candy. I taste fruity caramel which must mean those two blend well here. A little cinnamon. Mid glass I noted just a little grapefruit bitterness and a tiny bit of chocolate just before that. This beer keeps surprising. Now I am tasting some brown sugar. As fun as the middle of the glass was, the finish was more mundane. There is not usually a lot of excitement in an Amber ale but this one was fun. It offered some nice surprises.
3.2 Shared with Strykzone on Facebook Chat. Pours amber with an off-white head. Nose of light roasted caramel malts with some light fruit. Medium body. Flavor is malty with some floral hops and the fruit is still there. The finish shows some cinnamon spice and some citrus hops sneak in. Nothing fancy here but quite drinkable.
3.1 Bottle @ home. Best before August 2015. Pretty hazy dark amber color, huge white to off-white head that lasts for a long time. Aroma is malts, sweet, jam. Taste lightly malts, slightly caramel, sweetish, jam, a hint of red fruit. Average body, slightly fizzy carbonation.
3.7 This draft brew from a beer bar poured a head of white colored bubbles that were quickly diminishing and left behind a uncarbonated transparent brown orange colored body and a spiderweb lacing. The weak aroma was jelly bean malty and Irish Red malty. The mouth feel was tingly at the start and at the finish with a medium caramel hop aftertaste. The nice flavor contained notes of semi-sweet mild caramel mild hops and bread dough. Delicious and one I would certainly buy again.
2.8 35cl Bottle from drankgigant.nl. Hazy brown colour, off-white head. Aroma of forest fruits, oxidization, old malts, roosvicee. Flavour is sweet, forest fruits, roosvicee, old malts, light earthy hop presence left, bittersweet finish. Also turned out to be over a year old. That’s what you get when you order online I guess.
3.0 A very smooth amber ale. Not as heavy as other Amber ales. Would buy again
Całkiem przyjemne i pijalne.
3.4 New version of a beer that already existed before, apparently. Beautifully warm, deep copper colour, somewhere between orange and red, with some dead yeast bit floating around; medium, yellowish light beige, moussy head retaining well. Pleasant floral aroma of dried orange peel, tulips, pink grapefruit, sundried tomato, hazelnut oil, bourbon without the alcohol, biscuit, caramel, bell pepper, dry cookies, Parmigiano, persimmon, paprika powder, minerals. Taste begins fairly neutral, some dried fruits, restrainedly sweetish, minerally, medium carbonation, subtle sourish accent, nutty malt sweetness reminiscent of an Altbier, leading to a medium long finish of earthy and floral, only slightly citrussy hop bitterness; body is on the thin side even for a beer of this ABV. Still, a decent and refreshing session beer, I could drink this all day.
3.6 12oz can, purchased 2/23/15 from Habersham in Savannah. Pours a hazy amber brown color. Finger of off-white head. Good retention. Good ridge of lace. Nice toasty aroma up front, biscuity, some mild earthy hop. Medium body, with a good full mouthfeel. Smooth, mildly soft lighter carbonation, kind of creamy, mildly slick texture. Nice moderate-plus bitter taste, good bit more earthy hop than expected, as well as a great toasty malt character, hint of chocolate in there, mildly spicy. Just a touch of dark fruit. Lighter to moderate sweet taste. Awesome amber ale overall, much better than expected. Good to enjoy with my sandwich.
3.0 Bottle to half-pint glass (shared by DrSilverworm). Looks solid; a hazy amberish brown with thin eggshell head that steadily dissipates into lacing. Smells and tastes of caramel and a bit of toast with a fairly clean medium-bodied mouthfeel. Not bad, but forgettable.
2.9 Not a great style. Not a great beer. A little bit earthy. Fairly bland. Not one I need again.
2.7 Bottle. Pours in dark copper body with low frosty head. Aroma has weak caramel notes, otherwise clean. Taste has light astringent bitterness upfront, some malty-caramel support in there, with light roastiness in the finish. Body is medium, little bit watery, low carbonation.
2.7 Bottled 355ml. - at O’Hara Zagreb. Golden amber coloured, minimal off-white head, notes of caramel in the nose. Slight toasted malt, dry caramel, dog food with nutty notes and short caramel finish. Cheery label, bad beer....
3.0 Bottled at O’Hara’s Zagreb with Ribafish (huge thanks Marin & co!). Poured a misty amber/brown body with a small white head. Marmelade-like matly aroma. Not much different in the taste, malt, marmelade... actually... strawberry jam too--- thin too. Sweetish, and just vaguelly herbal. Love the label, but it just raises the gimmick level of a mediocre beer. Rerated... it’s even slightley chocolatey, much better than this, but still nothing special.
3.0 Bottle. Clear reddish amber pour with a small spotty white head. Very malty, hints of pouch tobacco. Slight hop bitterness. Okay.
3.6 Wonderful chocolate & tobacco flavor almost like a well brewed stout with some smokiness. Excellent amber ale and the best one I’ve tried to date.
